Abstract

Emergency conditions can occur anywhere and at any time, threatening the safety and lives of victims regardless of age. Such events can happen at home, work, school, or public places, necessitating knowledge and skills for first responders. This community service aims to enhance the knowledge of lecturers and students on Emergency Handling in Pre-Hospital and Intra-Hospital settings. The international community service on Emergency Handling in Pre-Hospital and Intra-Hospital took place offline at Instituto Superior Cristal, Dili, Timor Leste, from July 22-24, 2024. A total of 300 lecturers and students participated. The sessions were conducted by lecturers and students from the Faculty of Nursing, Universitas Airlangga. Key topics included "Emergency Care in Disaster" by Dr. Sriyono, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kep.Ns. Sp.Kep.MB, addressing disaster response; and "Hypno Caring" by Dr. Joni Haryanto, SKP M.Kes, followed by practical sessions on complementary hypnotic therapy. Additional materials were presented by students, including "HIV/AIDS: The Most Dangerous Complications" by Alfi Syahri, "Initial Trauma Assessment in Prehospital" by Desi Susilawati, "Early Warning Score System (EWSS) in Hospitals" by Purwanti Nurfitasari, and "ESI and ATS: Intra-Hospital Triage" by Yayang Harigustian. The participants demonstrated enthusiasm and successfully answered questions and practiced the demonstrated techniques, proving that the training enhanced their understanding and skills in emergency handling.

Abstract

Acute myocardial infarction (IMA) is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide, so early diagnosis is needed to detect the disease. High sensitivity troponin assessment is a biomarker examination that can diagnose Acute Myocardial Infarction. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the use of High Sensitivity Cardiac Troponin and as an early diagnosis of Acute Myocardial Infarction (IMA). This study is a systematic review study of 4 databases, namely Scopus, PubMed, EBSCO Host, and Sage Journals, with the keywords "high sensitivity cardiac troponin" AND "acute myocardial infarction". The results of the study followed the protocol and rules of Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews (PRISMA) and used the JBI tool to assess the quality of the articles to be analyzed. The inclusion criteria in this study are articles taken in the last 5 years using the Randomized Control Trials (RCT) method and observational studies. A literature search yielded 452 research articles, of which 10 were included after several selections in a systematic review and were eligible for analysis. The ten articles used random comparison and observation research methods. All articles show that high sensitivity cardiac troponin has high sensitivity and specificity in supporting the diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction. This shows that high sensitivity cardiac troponin is one of the biomarker examinations that has high sensitivity in identifying patients with a high risk of acute myocardial infarction. This finding is expected to be a reference for health workers to determine the initial diagnosis of Acute Myocardial Infarction (IMA).

Abstract

Chronic stress in hypertensive patients results in fatal complications. Information technology is more effective than face-to-face communication for stress management. It has been demonstrated that media technology is more appealing, of high quality, effective, and efficient. The goal of this study is to create a guided imagery app for Android that will help pre-elderly hypertensive patients feel less stressed. A research and development design was used for this project. In addition to application development through focus group discussions and professional consultations, as well as assessing the viability of utilizing the application, exploration of stress levels and evaluation of stress management are monitored. The study's older participants, who ranged in age from 45 to 59, had hypertension. 50 patients were involved in phase 1 data collecting utilizing the perceived stress scale questionnaire. 30 patients in phase 2 used a system usability scale questionnaire, which was modified and tested for validity again with 10 respondents. The inclusion criteria for primary hypertension patients undergoing treatment were pre-elderly, aged 45–59 years old, male and female, Muslim, able to read and write, own a smartphone and be able to operate it, and have no visual or hearing limitations. Purposive sampling was used and data was analyzed using descriptive data analysis. The results show a moderate level of stress (62%). The results of the due diligence got a value of 80.66 (good and proper). The development of an Android-based guided imagery relaxation application can be recommended to pre-elderly hypertensive patients as a medium that can be used independently at home to help control stress levels.
