Abstract

Permasalahan yang disajikan dalam proses pembelajaran Problem Based Learning pada penelitian ini berbasis etnomatematika islami. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengungkap pemahaman matematis mahasiswa IAIN Kediri setelah mengikuti pembelajaran PBL berbasis pendekatan etnomatematika islami dan mengungkap efektifitas pembelajaran PBL berbasis etnomatematika islami terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis mahasiswa IAIN Kediri. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan desain posttest only control grup desain dan dianalisis secara kuantitatif. Berdasarkan hasil analisis uji hipotesis dinyatakan bahwa kemampuan pemahaman matematis peserta didik yang mengikuti pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berbasis etnomatematika islami tidak ada perbedaan dari pada peserta didik yang mengikuti pembelajaran Problem Based Learning tanpa berbasis etnomatematika islami. Ketidakmampuan peserta didik memenuhi indikator pemahaman matematis dikarenakan peserta didik kurang dapat memahami konsep suatu materi jika permasalahan yang diberikan berbeda dengan yang pernah disajikan oleh pendidik atau yang tertera pada buku referensi. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa yang berperan dalam pemahaman matematis peserta didik adalah pembelajaran Problem Based Learning bukan terkait konten bahan ajar yg disajikan dalam bentuk etnomatematika islami atau umum.   In this study, the problems present on Islamic ethnomathematics. This study aims to reveal the mathematical comprehension of IAIN Kediri students after taking Problem Based Learning (PBL) based on an Islamic ethnomathematic. This study was conducted using a quasi-experimental method with a posttest only kontrol group design and analyzed quantitatively. Based on the results of the analysis of hypothesis testing, there was no difference in the mathematical understanding abilities of students who took part in PBL based on Islamic ethnomathematics and without being based on Islamic ethnomathematics. The inability of students to meet the indicators of mathematical understanding is because students are less able to understand the concept of a material if the problems given are different from those presented by educators or those listed in reference books. It can conclude that what plays a role in students' mathematical understanding is Problem Based Learning not related to the content of teaching materials presented in the form of Islamic or general ethnomathematics.

Abstract

This research-and-development is motivated by the need for the use of culture-based learning media in the mathematics subject because, during learning, teachers often only focus on material without any integration with culture, and there is a lack of students’ knowledge of the culture that exists in Nganjuk Regency. The purpose of this research and development is to examine the ethnomathematics in the culture of Nganjuk and analyze the development and feasibility level of the ethnomathematics-based Amazing Nganjuk application for the plane shape material of grade IV in Islamic elementary schools. This study is of Research and Development (R&D) type that uses the Alessi and Trollip model of 3 stages, which include planning, design, and development. The product trial was carried out through the alpha test and beta test. The alpha test was conducted by media experts and material experts while the beta test was conducted by the fourth-grade students of Islamic Elementary School (IES) Khadijah Sukorejo Loceret Nganjuk. The result of this research and development was an ethnomathematics-based android application. The ethnomathematics elements found in this study were Jayastamba monument, wayang timplong, gamelan gender, and demung. The results of the media and material validation showed an average percentage of feasibility level of 96% and 93.75% with a very feasible category for use in the beta test. The beta test obtained an average percentage of 97% with the category indicating that the fourth-grade students strongly agreed with the use of the Amazing Nganjuk application to learn plane shapes. The application that the researchers have developed is deemed suitable for use as a learning medium, especially for the plane shape material.

Abstract

Instructional media are tools used by teachers or educators to facilitate the learning process. Visual media is often used. Therefore, researchers develop e-book media based on flipbooks in the learning process. The research objectives are: (1) to analyse the development of flipbook-based e-book media, (2) to assess the eligibility of flipbook-based e-book media in improving student outcomes, and (3) to evaluate the effectiveness of this media in enhancing student learning outcomes. Types of research used is the study Research and Development (R&D) with ADDIE research model. This research was held at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah with a total of 30 participants. This research result shows that, (1) the development of e-book media based on flipbooks using the ADDIE development model with 5 stages. (2) media suitability is determined by the results data. Validation media expert 1 of 98.3% with description "very worthy", media expert 2 stage II is 100% with the description "very worthy". Material expert 1 is 95% with the description “very worthy” and expert material 2 is 100% with “very worthy” statement. (3) Improvement in learning outcomes is observed through pre-test and post-test data, analysed using the N-Gain calculation. N-Gain percent show gained 63.84 with criteria “sufficiently effective”.
