Abstract

Sigarang-garang village is one of the hardest hit villages by the eruption of Mount Sinabung, in Karo district, North Sumatra province. Almost fourteen years ago (2010-now 2024), a torrent of volcanic ash and hot lava enveloped Sigarang-garang village, leaving it in ruins. Sigarang-garang village is one of the red zone areas, meaning it is still a dangerous area to live in. Sigarang-Garang is a village location that has a suitable climate for agricultural land, especially vegetable crops which are the village commodity. The natural beauty around the village near the tourist spot of Lake Lau Kawar is a community group development program in areas affected by natural disasters. Lava eruptions accompanied by large stone spew (batu mbelin) also have economic value that can improve the village economy. One of the village programs being designed is to improve the condition of the village, such as rearranging village infrastructure, population settlements, remapping agricultural land and other things to restore the wheels of life in Sigarang-garang Village. The model for assisting community groups in Sigarang-garang Village, Naman Teran District in managing the environment and biodiversity as local natural resources is to create a village creative economy. The strategies carried out include contributing knowledge about the creative economy in Sigarang-garang Village, Naman Teran District. Empowering the community in Sigarang-garang Village, Naman Teran District in utilizing the environment and biodiversity to create a creative economy. This program is continued by developing the natural potential in Sigarang-garang Village, Naman Teran District as an asset in creating a creative economy.

Abstract

In the context of the current era of globalization, leadership and communication styles have a central role in influencing motivation in the organizational environment. Increasingly complex and uncertain challenges emphasize the need for leaders to have adaptability to manage change. The right leadership style, accompanied by effective communication, can have a positive impact on individual motivation within the organization. This study aims to explore the effect of leadership style and communication on work motivation at PT Dipo International Pahala Automotive Medan Amplas. The approach in this study is descriptive quantitative, primary data sources obtained through questionnaires. And the population in this study amounted to 168 respondents, with a sample size of 118 respondents. The calculation results show that, leadership style partially affects employee work motivation, obtained t count (4,473) > t table (1,658) with a significance of 0.000 <0.05, then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, meaning that there is a positive and significant influence between leadership style on employee work motivation. While the communication variable obtained t count (9.011) > t table (1.658) with a significance of 0.000 <0.05, then Ho is rejected and H2 is accepted, meaning that there is a positive and significant influence between communication on employee work motivation. Simultaneously leadership style and communication have an effect on work motivation, obtained f count 87.645> f table 3.08 and sig 0.000, then H0 is rejected and H3 is accepted, meaning that leadership style and communication simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on employee work motivation.

Abstract

Balige District is one of the hometowns of one of the students of the Bina Prestasi Independent Polytechnic. The selection of this location was agreed to be the place for Community Service because it is to realize the "Go Green For Better Nature We Keep, We Care, We Preserve" movement. Balige District is also known as SMA Negeri 1 Laguboti, which is located near Balige Lumban Bul-bul Beach. Head of the Business Administration Study Program, Mr. Evo M. T. Damanik, S.E., M.M. Together with the lecturers by mobilizing the Business Administration Study Program Student Association with the Chairman of the Committee Afitz Abdala Hasibuan, Dini Secretary Cristiani Sibagarian, the Treasurer of Bunga Lestari Ginting realizes Community Service of 700 fruit tree seedlings well starting from May 9-11, 2025. The team that departed was 3 supervisors and 49 members of the Student Association Committee of the Business Administration Study Program – Polytechnic Mandiri Bina Prestasi – Medan. At the location, they were welcomed by the Head of the Balige Police Department of Toba Regency Mr. Harianto Butar-Butar S.E., M.Si, the Head of the Toba Regency Environmental Agency Mrs. Melva Panjaitan, the Balige Sub-district Head of Toba Regency Mr. Mangapul, the Head of Lumban Bul-Bul Village, Mrs. Melva Panjaitan, the parents of the students Mr. Ahmad Ridho Pelupessy Sianipar and Mrs. Frelly Novinta Pangaribuan, representatives of indigenous community leaders Mr. Paber Simangunsong and local communities. This Community Service is in accordance with the work calendar of the Business Administration Study Program and is planned to be carried out again every year with the choice of the region of origin of students who are active to provide organizational spirit for students.
