Abstract

Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). SARS-CoV-2 is a new type of coronavirus that has never been previously identified in humans. Common symptoms of COVID-19 infection include symptoms of acute respiratory problems such as fever, cough and shortness of bresath. One of the obstacles in implementing health protocols is that there are still people who do not believe in the existence of the COVID-19 disease, so many people do not comply with the 5M health protocol. The aim of the research is to determine the implementation of the 5M Health Protocol by the community in Bakubakulu Village, Palolo District, Sigi Biromaru Regency. Descriptive research type. The research variable is the implementation of the 5M health protocol. The data used is primary and secondary data. Data analysis uses univariate analysis. The population in this study was 619 people and the sample was 41 people. The results of this research show that 68.3% of people implement the 5M health protocol and 31.7% do not implement the 5M health protocol. The conclusion of this research is that more and more people are implementing the 5M health protocol in Bakubakulu Village, Palolo District, Sigi Biromaru Regency. It is recommended that the Bakubakulu village government be able to discipline people who still have not implemented the 5M health protocol to prevent the spread of COVID-19, people can regularly look for information in print media.

Abstract

This activity aims to open up homemakers' knowledge regarding Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS). It also seeks to change their behavior by implementing PHBS in everyday life, such as using clean water, washing hands with clean water and soap, using healthy restrooms, and not smoking in the house. Community service was conducted in Baluase Village, South Dolo District, Sigi Regency, with 42 homemakers. The method used is an analytical method with a cross-sectional approach using proportional random sampling. The results of community service show that the knowledge and insight of homemakers in Baluase Village, South Dolo District, increased by 40% regarding their understanding or mastery of PHBS material, which we adopted as the primary material in service activities.

Abstract

Sanitasi lingkungan berperan penting dalam pencegahan penyakit menular seperti diare, yang masih menjadi salah satu penyebab utama kematian. Diare menempati urutan keempat sebagai penyebab kematian di seluruh populasi di Indonesia dengan prevalensi mencapai 12,3%. Angka kejadian diare di Sulawesi Tengah mencapai 48,17% pada tahun 2020, dan beberapa daerah, termasuk Kabupaten Morowali, masih mencatat angka kejadian diare yang masih lebih tinggi. Diare merupakan masalah kesehatan masyarakat yang signifikan, terutama di negara-negara berkembang, di mana diare masih menjadi penyebab utama morbiditas dan mortalitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara sanitasi lingkungan dan kejadian diare, serta mengidentifikasi tingkat risikonya. Menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif, desain penelitian cross-sectional dengan populasi sebanyak 2.200 orang, Sampel diambil secara random sederhana sebanyak 100 orang yang memenuhi kriteria. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner dan dianalisis dengan uji Chi-Square serta perhitungan Odds Ratio (OR) untuk mengukur risiko. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sanitasi lingkungan memiliki hubungan signifikan dengan kejadian diare (p<0,05). Ketersediaan air bersih menunjukkan OR=0,044, kondisi jamban memiliki OR=174,00, saluran pembuangan air limbah OR=171,00, dan pengelolaan sampah OR=50,556. Disimpulkan bahwa faktor sanitasi lingkungan yang buruk meningkatkan risiko kejadian diare, terutama pada kondisi jamban, pembuangan air limbah, dan pengelolaan sampah. Penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya perbaikan sanitasi lingkungan, termasuk penyediaan air bersih yang layak, fasilitas jamban, serta sistem pembuangan limbah yang efektif, dan pengelolaan sampah yang memadai untuk menurunkan risiko diare.

Abstract

Elderly people are part of human development, a final stage. According to Law No. 13 of 1998 concerning Health, elderly people are defined as those who have reached the age of 60. At this age, physical and functional declines often occur, requiring assistance or explanations regarding the aging process. The number of elderly people in South Birobuli Village is 41 (13.2%). Five (33.3%) have hypertension and one (1.6%) has had a stroke. A survey of several elderly people revealed they have many questions about the causes of hypertension and how to manage it. The measures taken included education about hypertension, blood pressure checks, and exercise. Results: Of the 15 individuals with high blood pressure, 5 (33.3%) had high blood pressure. Counseling was provided to those with high blood pressure and recommendations for further examination at the Community Health Center (Puskesmas), and 10 participated in exercise.
