Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to formulate a Theology of Money Management. The theory employed in developing money management was based on the iceberg analysis methodology. Effective personal financial management was crucial for students, particularly those at the Jakarta Theological Seminary (STFT), to prevent multiple short-term, medium-term, and long-term financial difficulties. The employed approach is a qualitative methodology involving surveys and literature reviews. The collected data was then examined using the iceberg theory and subjected to U-Process analysis. The paper's findings introduce a Money Management Theology variant that was clarified in the concept definition. This variant involves reconsidering, restructuring, and recontextualization of the subject matter. Keywords: Iceberg; Management; Money; Student; Theology. Abstract

Did 1 Timothy 2:12-15 serve to marginalize women? From a feminist and vulnerability standpoint, we suggest reinterpreting the text with using Leo G. Perdue Biblical Theology concept. In terms of vulnerance, Paul restricts the role of women for the sake of the salvation of the Christian community in Ephesus under the shepherding of Timothy. From a perspective of vulnerability, women's restriction can be attributed to the issue of inequality, the hierarchical structure of control and subjugation by the wealthy during that era, and the susceptibility of women to be misled by heretical beliefs at the time. The passage 1 Timothy 2:12-15 provides insight into the cultural marginalization of women during that era. Therefore, the present-day Christian community must actively advocate for gender equality by addressing the underlying factors that contribute to the marginalization of women.

Abstract

Abstract. In Christian theological discourse, the term pleroma of God is commonly applied to Jesus Christ, the second Person of the Trinity. Despite the explicit support of biblical texts, the consensus indicates a lack of attention to the Holy Spirit, the Third, especially in conversations about the characteristics of the pleroma of God. An exegetical approach to the text of Acts 2:2 opens up the imaginative possibility that the Holy Spirit also assumes a pleromative role, precisely post-ascension of Christ. As a finding, the elaboration of the pleroma of the Holy Spirit makes room for the prophetic role, that the fulfillment by the Holy Spirit empowers a universal prophetic voice. Secondly, the pleroma of the Holy Spirit will always confirm the Trinitarian faith, a belief that underlies every theological passion in the Christian faith.

Abstract

The essence of truth in the general conception is always depends on the value of objectivity, coherence, or utility. Specifically in Christianity, truth – which is called Alētheia – is not tied to these values, but is found in Jesus Christ himself. An exegetical approach to the text of the Gospel of John 8:31-32 describes the concept of the liberating Alētheia, namely the condition that is equated with knowing the truth and becoming a disciple of Jesus when someone remains in Jesus and His word. By placing the issue of sin as a crucial context, this liberating concept of truth also triggers a rethinking of the idea of cosmic Christology, especially that proposed by Joas Adiprasetya, who proposed the possibility of actualizing the Alētheia in non-Christian religions.
