Abstract

Improving maternal and infant health is a priority for health development in Indonesia. These improvements are directed at physical and psychological health. Psychological problems of primiparous postpartum mothers include postpartum blues which is one of the factors that contributes to maternal health indirectly. Classical music can stimulate the sympathetic and parasymptomatic nerves to produce a relaxation response. This research aims to determine the effect of providing classical music therapy on postpartum blues symptoms in primiparous mothers at the Independent Midwife Practice (PMB) Sri Wahyu Oktaviani AR, STr.Keb. This type of quasi-experimental research uses a nonequivalent control group design approach that uses two groups of research subjects, namely the experimental group 16 respondents before being given (Pretest) and after being given (Posttest). The statistical tests used were the Wilcoxon test and the Maan-Whatney test. The results showed that the postpartum blues symptom score of primiparous mothers in the experimental group after classical music intervention had a mean of 1.50. The results of the Maan-whatney test obtained a p value of 0.00

Abstract

Antenatal care aims to see how the fetus grows and develops and aims to improve the welfare of the mother and fetus. WHO's efforts to reduce the number of high-risk pregnancies include routine examinations for all pregnant women, as well as follow-up examinations for mothers with moderate comorbidities and complications, obstetric and neonatal examinations for women with severe comorbidities and complications. Yeoh et al, (2016) stated that as many as 26% of women with high-risk pregnancies never had an Antenatal Care examination or visit. while 80% of pregnant women experience no complications, and carry out regular Antenatal Care visits according to the recommended re-visit schedule. Pregnant women who do not regularly carry out prenatal checks will have a risk of experiencing pregnancy complications such as chorioamnionitis, placental abruption and a 10x greater risk of giving birth to a baby with a low birth weight, a 12x greater risk of fetal death and a 10x greater risk of maternal death

Abstract

Universities have formed a task force for the Prevention and Handling of Violence against Women (PPKS) based on the results of a survey through the Character Strengthening Center (Puspeka) of the Ministry of Education and Culture, which was conducted on 106 PTNs and 36 PTSs. The results show that the majority of universities have adopted innovations in implementing PPKS, especially in terms of governance, socialization and reporting facilities. The survey revealed that 76 percent of PTNs and 61 percent of PTSs now provide sexual violence reporting services on campus. Apart from that, 65 percent of new students have taken the PPKS module set by the Ministry of Education and Culture until June 2023. Violence against women can happen to anyone and at any time. This is important because violence against women very often occurs in everyday life, whether in the family, school, community, work or with peers. Violence in general often happens to people who are defenseless, such as women. An educational institution which is actually a place for the growth and development of students in matters of literacy and also the development of soft skills should be a place or space that is safe and comfortable for them. However, it seems that this does not apply to survivors of cases of violence against women, especially in cases of sexual violence against women. Cases like this are real and happen a lot, both in schools and universities and have become an open secret that is deliberately forgotten by most of the parties involved, so the role of universities in providing protection against sexual violence against women in higher education environments is important.
