Abstract

In a bridge construction project, there are two types of structures, namely the superstructure and the substructure. The foundation is part of the substructure that functions as the main support and the most important part that greatly affects the stability of the building above it. In foundation design, it is required to calculate the bearing capacity. The bearing capacity of the foundation can be predicted based on soil investigation data which compared by actual field dynamic test data. Dynamic test is carried out to determine the actual bearing capacity after pile installation. This research aims to predict of spun pile bearing capacity and settlement based on N-SPT data, then evaluated by dynamic test (PDA and calendering) at “X” Toll Road Construction Project. Moreover, an evaluation of the axial bearing capacity of single and group piles will be carried out against the workloads. The results shows that prediction of the bearing capacity closest to the PDA data using Luciano Decourt Method (1987) around 309.45 tons with a difference of 4.20% each other. Calendering analysis by Gates Method found that 301.46 tons with a difference of 50.8% against the prediction. The prediction of immediate settlement is obtained of 26.79 mm smaller than PDA result and a difference of 13.30%. The results of the evaluation of the axial bearing capacity of single and group piles against workloads show that both the predicted and actual (PDA and calendering) bearing capacity is greater than the workload.

Abstract

Skin dehydration is a common issue affecting 40–50% of the adult population, resulting in dry, rough, and dull skin, as well as itching, irritation, and premature aging. The "back to nature" trend has increased interest in natural skincare products that are more environmentally friendly and gentler on the skin. Virgin coconut oil (VCO) is a popular natural ingredient known for its ability to maintain skin moisture and provide protection. This study aims to develop a liquid soap formulation using VCO to address skin dehydration. The research methods included formulation and evaluation of liquid soap through organoleptic testing, foam stability, specific gravity, pH, as well as hedonic and irritation tests. The results showed that: (1) Formula III met all physical evaluation parameters, including organoleptic characteristics, foam stability and height, specific gravity, and pH, in accordance with SNI standards; (2) Formula III was the most preferred by panelists in the hedonic test and caused no skin irritation based on irritation test results. Therefore, Formula III can be concluded as the optimal formulation for VCO-based liquid bath soap.

Abstract

Penilaian kinerja keuangan perusahaan sangat penting dilakukan untuk mengetahui kondisi keuangan perusahaan sehingga dapat diketahui tingkat keberhasilan perusahaan  selama periode tertentu dan sebagai bahan evaluasi bagi pihak manajemen. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu laporan keuangan perusahaan sub sektor rokok yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia periode tahun 2016-2020. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini yaitu melakukan analisis rasio keuangan yang meliputi: rasio likuiditas, rasio solvabilitas, rasio profitabilitas, dan rasio aktivitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan  bahwa untuk rasio likuiditas PT. Hanjaya Mandala Sampoerna Tbk. dan PT. Wismilak Inti Makmur Tbk. menunjukkan kinerja keuangan dalam kondisi baik, pada rasio solvabilitas PT. Gudang Garam Tbk, PT. Hanjaya Mandala Sampoerna Tbk. dan PT. Wismilak Inti Makmur Tbk. menunjukkan kinerja keuangan dalam kondisi baik, sedangkan pada rasio profitabilitas dan rasio aktivitas kinerja keuangan perusahaan sub sektor rokok dalam kondisi yang kurang baik karena memiliki nilai yang cukup rendah dan di bawah standar industri.

Abstract

Ocular inflammation is an immune response to infection, irritation, autoimmune disease, allergies, or trauma that can affect both extraocular and intraocular structures. Anterior uveitis is an inflammation of the anterior part of the uveal tract, which has the potential to cause a significant decrease in vision up to blindness if left untreated. Its causes vary, ranging from infectious, non-infectious, to idiopathic factors. To describe the distribution and frequency of adult patients with anterior uveitis at RSUD Waled, Cirebon Regency, in 2023–2024, based on age, sex, clinical symptoms, visual acuity, and intraocular pressure. This research is a descriptive observational study using secondary data obtained from medical records in RSUD Waled 2023-2024 that met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The majority of anterior uveitis patients in this study were middle-aged adults aged >40–60 years (56,5%) and predominantly female (54,3%). The most common clinical symptom was visual impairment, reported in 45 (35,3%) patients. Visual acuity was mostly categorized as good (44,6%) in the right eye and (40,2%) in the left eye. Intraocular pressure was mostly within the normal range (53,3%). Anterior uveitis in this study was most commonly found in middle-aged adults, and females. The most frequent clinical symptom was visual impairment. Most patients had visual acuity in the good category, and intraocular pressure remained within the normal range.
