Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a disease caused by increased blood sugar level due to lifestyle patterns or heredity. BPJS has a chronic program (PROLANIS) under the Health Insurance System (JKN) to control patient clinical parameters, prevent complications, and improve patient quality of life by monitoring patient compliance with treatment every month. This research was analyzed using the Pill-Count method, which is a method used to measure patient compliance in taking medication based on the remaining medication the patient has taken until the control date or return to the hospital. The assessment category is considered compliant if the percentage result is more than 80%. This type of research is observational with a cross-sectional approach. The total sample obtained was 37 patients in the March-April 2023 period at Satria Medika Hospital using the total sampling technique. The level of compliance based on the Pill-Count method shows that 14 patients (37.84%) were non-compliant and 23 patients (62.16%) were compliant. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that Satria Medika Hospital with the chronic program (PROLANIS) in March-April 2023 was in the non-compliant category as it achieved a compliance percentage of 62.16% (below the 80% threshold) using the Pill-Count method.

Abstract

Medicinal plants are plants that have properties for preventing and treating disease. Medicinal plants have properties because they contain active compounds resulting from secondary plant metabolism, namely flavonoids, alkaloids, phenols, tannins, saponins, triterpenoids and steroids. Red ginger is a medicinal plant that has been widely studied because it has antibacterial activity. Based on the results of discussions with representatives Duren Sawit Subdistrict, it was found that there had been no education to the public regarding antimicrobial activity in rhizome plants. The aim of this community service is to increase public knowledge regarding the antibacterial potential of native Indonesian rhizome plants. The method used int this activity is providing education through counseling. The results obtained from this activity showed an increase in community knowledge scores before and after being given education about antibacterial rhizome plants.

Abstract

Children and adolescents are age groups that are vulnerable to mental health problems in disaster-affected areas due to the loss of a sense of security and the destruction of living environments, play areas, and educational facilities. The floods and landslides that occurred in Aceh on November 24, 2025 caused psychological impacts in the form of trauma, particularly among children and adolescents in Matang Cut Village, North Aceh Regency. This condition encouraged the implementation of a community service program aimed at supporting the recovery of the mental well-being of children and adolescents in the post-disaster period. The activities were carried out using a persuasive approach by grouping participants based on their educational levels, namely kindergarten, elementary school, and junior high school. Each group was guided by a community service team consisting of lecturers in psychiatric nursing, health promotion, and English. The method applied was learning through play using educational game tools, such as flashcards and puzzles for adolescents, as well as coloring activities for younger children. The results showed very positive responses, indicated by the participants’ enthusiasm, motivation, and cheerfulness from the beginning to the end of the activities. All 34 participants attended the activities in full without leaving before completion. As a form of appreciation, active participants were given door prizes in the form of wafers, bread, and milk. This finding emphasizes that educational and recreational activities are highly necessary as part of efforts to address post-disaster trauma, particularly among children and adolescent age groups
