Abstract

Abstract   The Pharmacy Technician Competencies Test (UKTTK) is one of the competency tests conducted by Pharmacy Technician (TTK) at the end of the vocational education period as a condition for obtaining a Pharmacy Technician Certification (Serkom). The implementation of UKTTK is intended to increase the competence of TTK in pharmaceutical work. The success of students participating in UKTTK is inseparable from their ability which continues to be honed through internal try-out questions. It is necessary to have an evaluation of the UKTTK internal try-out questions in order to get the proper measurement goals. This research was conducted to measure the index of difficulty and discrimination index of internal try-out for UKTTK at STIKes IKIFA in the academic year 2022. The descriptive method was used in this study where the research subject is the third-grade students participating in an internal try-out. The third try-out with quantitative data is the subject of this study. The empirical validity test showed that 18.89% (34 items) of the 180 questions were invalid, while the Cronbach alpha score in the reliability test was 0.921, which is a reasonably good value. The index of difficulty and discrimination index had a majority in the difficult category for 28% (50 questions) and a poor discrimination index for 40% (72 questions). There were also 10 items with a negative value on the discrimination index, indicating that these questions could not distinguish between students with high and low knowledge. Overall, the quality of the internal try-out can be improved by testing the index of difficulty and discrimination index before use.

Abstract

Mathematics is a vital tool for solving problems in everyday life. For pharmacy students, it is the basis for formulating pharmaceutical preparations, calculating maximum doses, and performing dilutions. In calculations, students must understand the problem, plan the solution, carry out the steps, and ensure accuracy, which reflects problem-solving ability. There are four books with ISBNs, 3 discussing only mathematical concepts and one focusing on pharmaceutical calculations, but none combining both. Therefore, it is urgent to develop contextual, problem-solving-based textbooks to support pharmaceutical mathematics learning. This study aims to create a pharmaceutical mathematics textbook that strengthens problem-solving skills, particularly in measurement units and concentration statements. This study employed the ADDIE development model with 95 first-year pharmacy diploma students as respondents, and data were collected through a questionnaire. The results of the validity test, as evaluated by material and media experts, averaged 85.98% (considered very valid), while the feasibility test, conducted by lecturers and students, averaged 84.55% (also considered very feasible). It can be concluded that the developed textbook is valid, practical and effective for use in diploma and undergraduate pharmacy programs. The results can also guide the development of other chapters in pharmaceutical mathematics and help evaluate teaching materials to improve problem-solving skills at STIKes IKIFA.

Abstract

Service Standards in hospitals related to pharmaceuticals are divided into several criteria, one of which is the waiting time for prescription services. Tangerang Regency general hospital is one of the type B government hospitals, being a referral makes RSU Tangerang Regency experience a buildup of patients in each polyclinic which results in many prescriptions entering outpatient pharmacies so that they often experience a buildup of prescriptions that cause discomfort to patients. The purpose of this study was to determine what is the average waiting time for outpatient prescription services at Tangerang Regency General Hospital and the percentage of conformity of non- concoction or concoction prescriptions with prescription service standards in accordance with the ministry of health. This study is a descriptive study using primary data, namely waiting time data recorded directly. Waiting time data obtained from direct observation during prescription services in outpatient pharmacy installations with research instruments using excel computer waiting time, data with a total population of 5087 outpatient prescriptions. The data that has been obtained is then analyzed using the mean formula (average value). The results of the research show that the average service for non-concocted drug prescriptions is more than 30 minutes and the average service for prescriptions of concocted medicines is more than 60 minutes, so that the suitability of waiting times for non-concocted and concocted prescriptions is still greater than that which does not comply with the minimum service standards.
