Abstract

Based on the observations made by the researcher at SD Swasta PAB 29 in Manunggal Village, it discovered that the narrative essays still include punctuation mistakes of fourth-grade students in Class IV-A at SD Swasta PAB 29, Manunggal Village. The research problem is: how are the errors in the use of periods, commas, exclamation marks, and question marks present in the narrative essays of fourth-grade students in Class IV-A at SD Swasta PAB 29, Manunggal Village? The aim of this study is to analyze and describe the errors in punctuation usage in the students' narrative essays. This is a qualitative study, and the subjects are the students of Class IV-A at SD Swasta PAB 29, Manunggal Village. Forcollection the data used random sampling, which is a technique of random selection. The results of this indicate that many students still make mistakes in punctuation usage. Variations in errors in the use of punctuation marks by students show this. Therefore, the researcher concluded that class IV-A students still had not mastered the use of punctuation marks in their essays.

Abstract

The ability of students to find deductive and inductive paragraphs is still low, which is caused by inappropriate learning methods and limited intensive reading time allocation. This study aims to determine the relationship between intensive reading ability and the ability to find deductive and inductive paragraphs in grade XI students of SMA Dharma Pancasila Medan. This study uses a quantitative correlation method with statistical analysis. The results of the study showed a significant relationship between intensive reading ability and the ability to find deductive and inductive paragraphs. The majority of respondents have sufficient intensive reading ability, as many as 16 people (51.6%), and the ability to find deductive and inductive paragraphs is also quite good, as many as 24 people (77.4%). The correlation coefficient value found was 0.498, greater than rtable of 0.355, with a significance of 0.004 which is smaller than the probability value of 0.05. In addition, the tcount value of 3.096 is greater than ttable of 2.045. Based on the analysis, it can be concluded that grade XI students of SMA Dharma Pancasila Medan generally have quite good intensive reading ability. The relationship between intensive reading ability and the ability to find deductive and inductive paragraphs is also significant. This study confirms that efforts to improve intensive reading ability can have a positive impact on students' ability to find deductive and inductive paragraphs.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia berbasis literasi terhadap minat baca siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian dilaksanakan di kelas V SDN 060861 Medan dengan jumlah partisipan sebanyak 29 siswa sebagai partisipan. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif deskriptif, dengan teknik observasi langsung terhadap kegiatan literasi yang meliputi membaca teks, menjawab pertanyaan, dan menuliskan kembali isi bacaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas siswa aktif terlibat dalam kegiatan literasi, yang mencerminkan peningkatan minat baca serta keterlibatan mereka selama proses pembelajaran. Siswa yang masuk dalam kategori aktif memperlihatkan antusiasme tinggi, respons cepat, serta konsistensi dalam mengikuti rangkaian kegiatan.Hasil ini mengindikasikan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran berbasis literasi memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap motivasi membaca dan kemampuan pemahaman siswa. Selain itu, penggunaan teks yang kontekstual, strategi interaktif, dan kegiatan menulis reflektif turut memperkaya pengalaman membaca siswa. Penelitian ini juga menekankan pentingnya dukungan guru dan penyediaan lingkungan membaca yang kondusif agar minat baca dan keterampilan literasi siswa dapat berkembang secara optimal. Disarankan pula agar praktik literasi diintegrasikan ke dalam berbagai mata pelajaran serta terus diinovasikan agar dapat menjaga semangat membaca siswa

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the factors that influence the reading interest of fourth-grade students through a cooperative learning approach. The background of this study is based on the low reading ability of students, most of whom are still at the stage of recognising letters and spelling, even though they should have reached the reading stage with comprehension. The research method used in this article is a descriptive qualitative approach implemented at Ar-Ridha Marelan Islamic Private Elementary School, Medan City, North Sumatra. The study population consisted of all 60 fourth-grade students, with a purposive sampling technique used to select 3–5 students representing various levels of reading interest, namely high, medium, and low. Research data were obtained through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation of students selected purposively.In contrast, data analysis was carried out using an interactive analysis model consisting of data collection, reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. This process is simultaneous and iterative. The study results indicate that students' reading interest is shaped by the interaction between internal factors, such as motivation, habits, and individual needs, and external factors, such as family, teacher, and peer support. Cooperative learning has been proven effective in increasing reading interest by creating a collaborative learning environment, encouraging active student engagement, and strengthening social interactions that support literacy development. This study recommends a cooperative learning approach to improve elementary school students' reading interest and skills sustainably.

Abstract

The development of basic sleeve patterns is an important part of the basic skills of the Fashion Design subject, especially in making clothes that fit the size and shape of the body. However, in practice, most students still consider this material difficult because it requires a good understanding of measurement techniques, calculations, and pattern construction. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of implementing the Student Teams Achievement Divisions (STAD) cooperative learning model as a strategic effort to improve students' understanding of the material on the development of basic sleeve patterns. This study used a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach, implemented in two cycles. The subjects were 21 grade X Fashion Design students at SMKS Setia Budi Binjai. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, questionnaires, tests, and documentation in the form of photos of student activities and work results. The results showed that applying the STAD model can improve student learning outcomes. The percentage of student learning completion increased from 76.19% in cycle I to 85.71% in cycle II. In addition to the increase in grades, this study also noted improvements in student activity, collaboration between students, and responsibility in completing group assignments. Based on these findings, the STAD learning model effectively improves students' understanding of the material on developing basic arm patterns and forming positive attitudes in learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar untuk meningkatkan kedisiplinan dan kesantunan siswa kelas IV-A SD Negeri 064981 Helvetia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar yang dipadukan dengan teknik pembelajaran berbasis proyek, dialog interaktif, dan pendekatan kontekstual dapat meningkatkan kedisiplinan siswa dalam mematuhi peraturan sekolah, menjadwalkan sesi belajar, dan menyerahkan tugas tepat waktu. . Selain itu, program pembiasaan seperti salam dan latihan refleksi harian berperan besar dalam membantu siswa mengembangkan sikap santun terhadap guru, teman, dan lingkungan sekitar. Penelitian ini juga menemukan beberapa faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar. Faktor pendukung antara lain dukungan kepala sekolah, guru dan orang tua, serta semangat siswa dalam mengikuti pembelajaran. Faktor penghambatnya antara lain kurangnya pemahaman guru terhadap Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar, kurangnya sumber daya, dan kurangnya keterlibatan orang tua dalam proses pembelajaran. Kesimpulannya, Kurikulum Merdeka Belajar dapat efektif mendukung pengembangan karakter disiplin dan sopan santun siswa apabila dilaksanakan dengan persiapan yang matang dan melibatkan peran aktif seluruh pemangku kepentingan sekolah.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana penggunaan materi pembelajaran PowerPoint dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan motivasi pada siswa kelas tiga di Sekolah Dasar Swasta Islam Terpadu GHAFA. Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dilakukan dalam dua siklus, masing-masing terdiri dari pertemuan 60 menit. Studi ini melibatkan tiga puluh empat siswa. Survei motivasi dan penilaian hasil belajar digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data. Antusiasme siswa untuk belajar meningkat dari 48% (kategori rendah) di awal menjadi 70% (kategori sedang) pada siklus 1 dan 90% (kategori tinggi) pada siklus 2. Rata-rata hasil belajar siswa meningkat dari 64 pada tahap awal menjadi 71 pada siklus 1 dan 86 pada siklus 2. Rata-rata hasil belajar siswa meningkat. Dari 52,94% pada kondisi awal menjadi 76,47% pada siklus 1 dan 91,17% pada siklus 2 persentase ketuntasan belajar meningkat. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan materi PowerPoint dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan motivasi siswa.
