Abstract

The implementation of this research was caused by the low interest of students in learning cultural arts. The purpose of this study is to increase students' interest in participating in cultural arts learning using digital applications (WhatsApp, Youtube, Tiktok, Instagram). To determine whether there is an increase in student interest in learning using digital application media (WhatsApp, Youtube, Tiktok, Instagram), this study uses the type of Classroom Action Research. Data was collected using observations, field notes, and documentation. Data analysis is carried out descriptively on all data obtained. The results of the data analysis showed that there was a very significant increase in student interest in participating in Cultural Arts learning in the competence of Fine Arts and Dance from the first cycle which was only 46.6% which was classified as good, increasing to 83.3% in the second cycle. From the results of the data above, researchers determined that the success indicators of this study had been achieved well, even exceeding the achievement targets that had been set.

Abstract

One of the services offered to the community of KKN students by Panca Marga University is to increase the interest of students in reading in Klaseman village in Gending District. The aim of this activity is to prepare a competent, broad-minded and book-loving generation. Students' interest in reading is manifested in formal and informal educational settings. In free education, studies are organized for students, while formal studies are organized in preschools, kindergartens and primary schools. Students teach and assist students in acquiring basic reading skills. Students make the classroom atmosphere as lively as possible to attract students' attention so that students can focus on learning. Student observation method used. The book in question is a book adapted to the criteria for early children's books. Early childhood books are usually dominated by attractive images and colors. These images are meant to inspire children's imaginations and teach them to be sensitive and caring about the things they encounter. It is best to get concentration help while reading books.
