The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the variable Degree of Operating Leverage and Degree of Financial Leverage partially or simultaneously on Earning Per Share. The data used in the study are secondary data, the object used in this study is PT Agung Podomoro Land Tbk for the period (2010-2019) which is listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the results of data analysis, partially Degree of Operating Leverage has a negative and insignificant effect on Earning Per Share, and Degree of Financial Leverage has a positive and insignificant effect on Earning Per Share. The simultaneous test results show that the regression model can be used to predict Earning Per Share as evidenced by the significant value of the F test of 0.787> 0.05. The R-Square value of 0.066 indicates that the ability of the independent variables to explain the variation in the dependent variable is 6% and the remaining 94% is explained by other variables outside the research model.

This research explores the critical role of student interaction in enhancing engagement and satisfaction in the context of Open and Distance Learning (ODL) at the Open University in Indonesia. Amidst the increasing adoption of digital education platforms, this study examines how dynamic and effective student interactions and engagement influence educational satisfaction outcomes in online environments. Using a quantitative approach, this study employed Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to analyse responses from 120 students who participated in online tutorial sessions. The findings reveal that student interaction significantly increases student satisfaction and engagement, with engagement serving as a mediating factor that improves the overall educational experience. This study confirms that high-quality interactions are essential for student engagement and satisfaction and emphasises the need for educational platforms that support strong interactive features and prompt instructor feedback. This research contributes to the literature by emphasising the important role of interaction and engagement in ODL settings and suggests practical implications for educational practitioners and policy makers. Enhancing interactive experiences in online learning can facilitate higher levels of student engagement and satisfaction, thereby supporting the formation of a competitive and adaptive golden generation in Indonesia's digital era.

Abstract - Do Family Control and Female Directors Increase Firm Value?Main Purpose - This research investigates the mechanisms of family control and female directors to increase firm value.Method – This research uses the multiple regression method. The research sample is non-financial companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for 2019-2021.Main Findings – This research reveals that financial performance cannot be a bridge mechanism in increasing company value. This phenomenon happened because there is no large family control in public companies. Apart from that, the presence of women tends to be biased.Theory and Practical Implications – This research expands the understanding of stewardship and upper-echelon theory to explain how family control and female directors affect firm value. Apart from that, this research also advises regulators and politicians regarding gender awareness in companies.Novelty – The results of this study are an initial attempt to paint a picture of how female directors and family firms increase firm value.

This study examines the dynamics of capital structure in Indonesia by exploring the role of Return on Assets (ROA) in mediating the relationship between firm age, size, and leverage usage. Employing a quantitative approach, the research analyzes panel data from 424 non-financial companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2019-2021. The analysis utilizes Partial Least Squares (PLS), emphasizing that the data does not need to be normally distributed and can accommodate small sample sizes. The findings indicate that ROA acts as a negative, albeit statistically insignificant, mediator in the relationship between both firm age and size with leverage. Despite theoretical frameworks like Pecking Order and Market Timing Theories suggesting explanatory mechanisms, the study reveals that ROA’s mediation is not robust enough to substantiate these theories. Consequently, the results suggest that other factors may be more pivotal in explaining the observed relationships. This study underscores the need for further research into how firm characteristics influence capital structure, particularly in emerging markets like Indonesia. It contributes to the theoretical and practical understanding of capital structure management, providing crucial insights for investors and managers.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, several companies increased their leverage to enhance their performance and ultimately impact the value of their firm. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between leverage and firm value as well as to examine the potential mediating role of firm performance, specifically return on equity and earnings per share. The study employs a quantitative approach, utilizing the partial least squares-structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) tool, with a sample of 687 companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2021 period. Sampling was conducted using a purposive sampling method. The findings indicate that leverage does not have a direct impact on firm value, but rather, the mediating role of return on equity is significant in this relationship. In contrast, earnings per share were found not mediate the relationship between leverage and firm value. This study provides an important contribution in the field of financial performance to managers and investors in making decisions. Limitations and suggestions for future research will be discussed. Keywords: decisions making, financial performance, firm value, indonesia stock exchange, leverage, structural equation modeling
