Abstract

In the era of the Merdeka Curriculum, Industry 4.0 encompasses online learning, data analysis, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, digital skills development, project-based learning, and innovation. This enables a more personalized, efficient, and relevant education, while prioritizing equal access to technology and student data security and privacy. Community service in this context aims to provide introduction and training packaged in the form of a one-day workshop to attract the interest and talents of students at SMKN 4 Kota Serang to the basics of robotics, hardware components, software, as well as the design of hardware and software for soccer robots. The outcome of this activity is that students are able to understand the basic components, programming concepts of soccer robots, and can assemble a soccer robot module effectively and operate it. Many students are enthusiastic about this activity and express hope that it can continue so that a new robotics team can be formed at SMKN 4 Kota Serang, preparing them for upcoming robot competition championships.

Abstract

This research aims to review and improve the curriculum of the Electrical Engineering Education Department at Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University in accordance with developments in science and technology and the needs of stakeholders. Curriculum review and development is carried out by referring to graduate competencies in accordance with the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI) in the field of Electrical Engineering and Electrical Engineering Education. This research is an evaluation research on curriculum implementation using the TIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) model, and curriculum development through content analysis and discussion. The research results show that in general the implementation of the 2019 curriculum for the Vocational Education Department in Electrical Engineering is classified as appropriate (good) according to lecturer/alumni respondents, and quite appropriate (fairly good) according to student respondents. There are quite a lot of deficiencies, both in the content of the curriculum and the implementation of the curriculum, especially in the Input, Process and Product aspects. Based on the study of the evaluation results of the implementation of the curriculum and KKNI as well as the vision & mission and objectives of the Vocational Education Department of Electrical Engineering FKIP Untirta, a competency design can be formulated which should be mastered by undergraduate graduates majoring in Electrical Engineering Education as well as the draft curriculum framework. This design needs to be studied further and validated adequately so that a curriculum device can be produced that has relevance, quality and adequate benefits for students/graduates, society and the world of work.

Abstract

The frequency setting is VSD (variable speed drive) or inverter. In controlling the speed of a 3-phase induction motor using a VSD or inverter, the PWM (pulse width modulation) method is used. PWM is a method of manipulating the signal width, which is described by pulses in one period. In collecting data, the methods used are observation, interviews, documentation, and literature studies. The data obtained in the observation are the values of frequency, voltage, and current at the output of the VSD, which goes to the source of the 3-phase induction motor. The results obtained from setting the motor speed by setting the frequency at 25 Hz are 1500 rpm, 30 Hz is 1800 rpm, 35 Hz is 2100 rpm, 39.1 Hz is 2346 rpm, and 40 Hz is 2400 rpm. By adjusting the input frequency to a 3-phase induction motor using a VSD or inverter, it can be concluded that the higher the frequency, the faster the rotation speed of the pump motor, and the resulting water discharge in sucking water will also be greater.
