Abstract

This study aims to examine the factors that influence the political participation of novice voters not using their voting rights in elections in West Java. The method used in this research is to use a qualitative approach, namely the descriptive method. This research will provide an opportunity for subjects (first-time voters) to answer the questions asked according to their own experiences, and not based on the benchmark answers that have been made by researchers. This means that first-time voters behave and act in such a way as to feel free to use their knowledge and experience of the topics offered. The conclusion of this research is that there are several factors that encourage students of Langlangbuana University to use their voting rights during elections. Some of the factors found are factors of political stimulation, in order to realize the importance of using voting rights. Then the second factor is the factor of the characteristics of the person, because those with a social character who have great social concern for social, political, economic, socio-cultural, and defense problems, usually want to be involved in political activities. The third is the factor of the social environment, and the last is the factor of political education that novice voters get. Most of the students of Langlangbuana University already have care and awareness about the importance of their voting rights in the election, and have desires and hopes for the people they will choose as leaders in this country.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the non-optimal testing of Motorized Vehicle types of city transportation in the Department of Transportation of Bandung Regency, from the background of the problem the researcher identifies the problem, namely: How to control the periodic testing of motorized vehicles of city transportation types in Bandung Regency, What are the factors that support and inhibit the control periodic testing of motorized vehicles of urban transportation in Bandung Regency. And what efforts are made by the Bandung Regency Transportation Agency in controlling periodic motorized vehicle testing. The foundation of this theory uses the Control theory, the researchers formulate the proposition as follows: Periodic Control Tests of Motorized Vehicles in City Transport Types In Bandung Regency will run optimally if it pays attention to through control processes that consist of determining standards to be used in control, measuring implementation or the results achieved, measure implementation or results with standards and determine deviations if any and take corrective action. The results of this study indicate that the control of motorized vehicles of city transportation in Bandung Regency based on Bandung Regency Regulation No. 9 of 2012 concerning Operation of Traffic and Road Transportation, there are several supporting factors and inhibiting factors. To overcome the obstacle, one of the efforts made by the Department of Transportation in collaboration with the Police is the disappearance of violators.

Abstract

This research stems from the problem of not yet optimal monitoring of General Election Campaign Props in Bandung Regency, because there are still many findings of Campaign Props being installed in places where they should not be. So the researcher formulates problems related to the Process of Supervising Campaign Props in Bandung Regency and to make the research easier, the researcher uses a theoretical approach from Hadari Nawawi (1995:24) and will run optimally if the Proposition of the Process of Supervising Campaign Props for General Elections in Bandung Regency can be achieved. runs well if it is based on the Proposition dimensions of Monitoring, Supervision and Evaluation. The research method used in this research is the descriptive qualitative method and data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation.

Abstract

Smart city is a city management concept based on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) so that the city becomes smarter and more efficient in the utilisation of various existing resources, as well as improving services and the quality of life of urban communities while still promoting environmental sustainability. Bandung is one of the cities in Indonesia that has implemented the Smart City Concept. This research aims to find out how the smart city bureaucracy in Bandung City by looking at aspects of Smart Governance, Smart Environment, Smart Economy, Smart Living, Smart Mobility, Smart Society, and Smart People as the main branding in the implementation of smart cities in the city of Bandung, this research is basically carried out qualitatively where the author collects several documents, files, interviews and literature studies to gain an understanding of the smart city bureaucratic process in Bandung City with the results of the discussion that the smart city that is run still has obstacles in its implementation, these obstacles are based on communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucracy that are not fully ready to run.
