Abstract

This study aims to analyze the campaign strategies implemented in the village head election of Bojongmalaka, Baleendah District, Bandung Regency, in 2022. The village head election is a democratic process that involves active community participation in choosing local leaders who will influence village development. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method, involving in-depth interviews with candidates, campaign teams, and local residents, as well as analysis of campaign-related documents. The results of the study indicate that an effective campaign strategy includes several key elements, including good candidate introduction, optimal use of social media, a personal approach through direct visits to residents' homes, and delivery of work programs that are relevant to the needs of the village community. Factors such as candidate popularity, support from community leaders, and mass mobilization also play a significant role in determining election results. These findings provide insight into local political dynamics and can be a guide for candidates in similar elections in the future.

Abstract

Tahura Djuanda's efforts to maintain the sustainability of Castanopsis argentea are by ensuring the success of its regeneration, which is kept in the Tonjong nursery. Therefore, Castanopsis argentea seedlings require routine seedling health monitoring to determine the percentage of seedlings in the healthy, unhealthy, and dead categories. This study aims to identify the health of Castanopsis argentea seedlings in the Tonjong nursery, Tahura Djuanda. Sampling uses random sampling, which randomly analyzes seedlings in 1 bed with 150 seedlings; health identification is carried out using the cumulative method of Forest Health Monitoring (FHM) and the Environmental Monitoring Assessment Program (EMAP). Castanopsis argentea seedlings in the Tonjong nursery, Tahura Djuanda, were identified as 51.33% unhealthy seedlings and the remaining 48.67% healthy seedlings. Unhealthy seedlings are caused mainly by pest attacks that attack the leaves and shoots of the seedlings. Another cause is pine needles that stick to the leaves of the seedlings. Proper handling is using insecticides and artificial parents or moving the bed's location to the shade of broad-leaf trees.

Abstract

This journal article analyses the abuse of power in digital surveillance, focusing on the case of the Ministry of Communications and Digital (Komdigi) providing protection to online gambling sites. This research uses the literature study method to understand the mechanism of abuse of power and its supporting factors. The main findings show that weaknesses in internal controls and high financial incentives are the main drivers of this action. In addition, the development of digital technology creates new loopholes that are difficult to monitor using traditional methods. Analyses based on the theories of Utilitarianism, Virtue and Deontology Ethics reveal that these actions violate basic ethical principles, such as integrity, justice and public responsibility. Strategic recommendations include strengthening technology-based supervision, developing ethical competence of public officials, and adaptive regulation for the digital sector. This journal article is expected to serve as a reference in improving digital surveillance governance to prevent similar cases in the future.
