Abstract

Nausea and vomiting disorders during pregnancy, particularly in the first trimester, often impact the quality of life for pregnant women, with 50-90% of cases occurring during this period. Besides affecting maternal health, these disorders also influence fetal growth and development. Management can be achieved through pharmacological and non-pharmacological methods, including the combination of acupressure at Meridian Point P6 and inhalation of peppermint aromatherapy. This research aims to evaluate the impact of this combination on reducing the frequency of nausea and vomiting in first-trimester pregnant women at RSHM Yusuf Kalibalangan in North Lampung. Utilizing a quasi-experimental method, involving 12 first-trimester pregnant women experiencing nausea and vomiting at the mentioned hospital, the study results demonstrate that the combination of acupressure and peppermint aromatherapy significantly reduces the frequency of these symptoms. Statistical analysis using the paired t-test yields a p-value of 0.012. In conclusion, this combination proves effective in addressing nausea and vomiting issues in first-trimester pregnant women at RSHM Yusuf Kalibalangan in North Lampung, offering new insights into non-pharmacological options for improving the well-being of pregnant women.

Abstract

Introduction: Long Covid is a term used to describe illness in people who have recovered from COVID-19 but continue to report long-term effects of the infection or have the typical symptoms for much longer than expected. Cardiovascular function aids the heart's and vascular system's ability and endurance in carrying out daily activities without significant fatigue. Methodology: The research method used was narrative review with the PICO framework (Population/Patient/Problem, Intervention, Comparation, and Outcome). The journals were searched from 2 databases, namely Google Scholar and PubMed. Research findings: After screening the title and relevance of the abstract, as well as full text screening, 10 journals were obtained from the search for all two databases, proving the effect of Chest physiotherapy and Static bicycles on cardiovascular improvement in Long Covid patients. Abstract

Communication plays a vital role in influencing patient satisfaction, which is the primary responsibility of healthcare providers. The success of healthcare facilities and services in meeting patient expectations can increase the likelihood of patients returning to use those services, while mismatches may prompt patients to seek better facilities or feel disappointed. This study aims to assess the relationship between therapeutic communication by midwives and the satisfaction of pregnant women in antenatal care (ANC) services at Kalibalangan Public Health Center in North Lampung. The research method involves a cross-sectional approach with simultaneous measurement of independent and dependent variables in 52 randomly selected pregnant women. Statistical analysis using the Chi Square test shows significance (p) of 0.002 < 0.05 (p < α). From these results, it is concluded that therapeutic communication aims to obtain shared learning experiences to improve patients' emotional experiences. There is a significant relationship between therapeutic communication by midwives and maternal satisfaction, hence pregnant women are advised to pay attention to their pregnancy condition by attending ANC regularly and consistently visiting the Public Health Center.
