Abstract

The purpose of this study is to see how effective learning is, especially at this time where online learning is based. In addition, this research is also to see whether students experience a decrease in enthusiasm or not when carrying out online learning. And also to see how students can get enthusiasm and motivation in carrying out online learning today. The study used descriptive qualitative methods, using interview, observation and documentation techniques. The research subjects took place on students of the Pancasila and Citizenship Education Study Program at the Indonesian Education University Batch 2020 with 6 students as representatives. Based on the results of research conducted through interviews, it is known that online learning is carried out by utilizing LMS (Learning Management System) facilities and using zoom, google meet, and whatsapp applications as suggestions to help in the learning process. The results also show that during online learning students feel bored and their motivation to learn decreases. The factors that cause learning motivation to decrease are because the implementation of online learning is monotonous, the same learning routine without any changes and the lack of direct interaction between students and lecturers. Students want interactive online learning, namely there is an intense and not monotonous two-way interaction and learning is not only done online but in several meetings it is hoped that it will be done face-to-face.

Abstract

Abstract This research aims to investigate the impact of Twitter as a social media platform on the development of civic disposition among Generation Z. Utilizing a descriptive study with a quantitative approach. The sample collection for this research utilized a non-probability sampling technique known as purposive samplinzqqg. A total of 100 samples were obtained using the Lemeshow formula. Primary data was collected through observation, questionnaires, and documentation. In this research, a questionnaire distributed via Google Forms serves as the research instrument, and the Likert scale was used. The data analysis technique involves descriptive statistics to present the data, as well as inferential statistics with parametric statistics to test hypotheses and draw conclusions based on the sample taken from the population. The classical assumption prerequisite tests, including the normality and linearity tests, while the hypothesis test used was simple linear regression analysis, were conducted. the data is normally distributed (0.200 > 0.05) and exhibits linearity (0.871 > 0.05). Furthermore, the final result of this research revealed that there is an influence of Twitter as a social media on the formation of civic disposition among Generation Z netizens. This can be observed from the results of the hypothesis test conducted using simple linear regression analysis. On the other hand, when comparing the value of tcount with the value of ttable, it is known that the tcount is 4.906 > ttable 1.98. This means that the zero hypothesis (Ho) is rejected while the alternative hypothesis (Ha) can be accepted. Keywords: Civic Disposition, Generation Z, Twitter as Social Media,. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media sosial twitter terhadap pembentukan civic disposition pada kalangan Generasi Z. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan non probability sampling yaitu dengan purposive sampling. Menentukan sampel menggunakan rumus lemeshow diperoleh 100 sampel. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu observasi, kuesioner, dan dokumentasi. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu kuesioner dengan bantuan google formulir dan memakai skala likert. Teknik analisis data yaitu statistik deskriptif untuk menyajikan data dan statistik inferensial dengan jenis statistik parametris untuk menguji hipotesis dan membuat kesimpulan berdasarkan sampel yang diambil dari populasi. Uji prasyarat asumsi klasik yaitu uji normalitas dan uji linearitas sedangkan uji hipotesis yaitu analisis regresi linear sederhana. Hasil yang didapatkan dari kedua uji prasyarat yang telah dilakukan dinyatakan telah memenuhi asumsi masing-masing pengujian yaitu data berdistribusi normal sebesar 0,200 > 0,05 dan bersifat linear sebesar 0,871 > 0,05. Selanjutnya hasil akhir yaitu hasil yang didapatkan dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh media sosial twitter terhadap pembentukan civic disposition warganet pada kalangan Generasi Z. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari hasil uji hipotesis penelitian dengan menggunakan analisis regresi linear sederhana yaitu apabila membandingkan nilai signifikansi dengan nilai probabilitas berdasarkan nilai signifikansi dari tabel coefficient diperoleh nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05. Sedangkan apabila membandingkan nilai t hitung dengan nilai t tabel didapatkan nilai t hitung = 4,906 > t tabel = 1,98. Artinya, hipotesis nol (Ho) ditolak sedangkan hipotesis alternatif (Ha) dapat diterima. Kata Kunci: Civic Disposition, Generasi Z, Media Sosial Twitter.
