Abstract

This research is a cultural history, an effort to look for cultural morphology, study structure, find the central concept of a culture, with the object of research being the Jambi area of Seberang City which is the center of Jambi Malay Culture, including the stilt house. The aim of the research is an answer to the proposed problem formulation, namely: describing the combination of cultural acculturation in the architecture of stilt houses in Jambi across the city and how to maintain the architecture of stilt houses. The research method used is the historical method including heuristic, criticism, interpretation and historiography stages. The sources used are literature studies, documents, archives and interviews. Home is a place to live, live, eat, sleep, do activities and chat with family.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out about the existence of gojek drivers in fulfilling the needs of life and their role in the online transportation service sector in Jambi City 2017 – 2022. The research method used is the historical method which consists of four stages, namely source collection (heuristic), criticism and source selection, interpretation, and writing (historiography). The findings show that Gojek drivers are one of the jobs that can be the livelihood of the Jambi people. Gojek services can help motorcycle taxis who can use their time as effectively as possible in carrying out their profession as ojek drivers who are not too difficult to find customers, and also make it easier for people to travel, with various traffic jams in big cities. Gojek is an Indonesian app with transportation services, food delivery, bill payment, and even health services.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the history of the development of SLB HarapanMulia Jambi City and to describe the role and contribution of SLB Harapan Mulia for thesociety of Jambi City. The research used historical method starting from the stages ofheuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The data sources used primarysources and secondary sources. The primary source was obtained from interviews with theprincipal, teachers and students of SLB Harapan Mulia. Secondary sources in the form ofwritten data are books, articles, documents, and other supporting data. The results showed 1)SLB Harapan Mulia under the auspices of the Education Foundation. Initially, SLB HarapanMulia was a Harapan Mulia Autistic School which was established in 2012 and then developedto provide services to children who have another disabilities, both at the TKLB, SDLB andSMPLB levels. 2) SLB Harapan Mulia as one of the private Special Schools that have a role toproviding education for children with special needs who are not accepted in public schools butthey want to go to school.

Abstract

This research is a type of historical research with the theme of economic history, especially at the microeconomic level about smallholder oil palm plantations in Pulau Kerakap Village. The goal is to describe the growth and development of the smallholder oil palm plantation sector in Pulau Kerakap Village which is an important economic sector for the population, especially for economic actors involved in these economic activities. Furthermore, it also aims to explain the economic life of residents in Pulau Kerakap Village starting from those who become farmers as well as owners, laborers, and middlemen as a result of the growing oil palm plantation sector. For research methods is the historical method, which has stages of research ranging from heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography aimed at achieving historical truth. This research is also complemented by the use of a theoretical approach that is multidisciplinary by applying other social science concepts such as economics. The findings in the field show that smallholder oil palm plantations in Pulau Kerakap Village are an important economic sector for the population, especially for farmers who own oil palm plantations, laborers, middlemen, and oil palm processing companies. Inhabited by residents ranging from indigenous people (Jambi Malays) to local and general transmigrants. The condition of the smallholder oil palm plantation sector shows fluctuating conditions, one of which is the fluctuation in the nominal amount of workers' wages.

Abstract

This research is historical research with the theme of economic history with the object ofresearch being culinary traders in the Tanggo Rajo Ancol Tourism Area, Jambi from the 1960s– 2015. The purpose of the research is to provide information about the existence of the AncolTourism Area as a center for culinary tourism in Jambi City. from the emergence, development,and management in accordance with the research periodization. Next, it will explain theeconomic conditions of the culinary traders who sell there and the effect of the area on theincome of culinary traders.The method used is the historical method starting from the stagesof heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The theory that fits this research isthe Multiplier Effect. In the end, the findings obtained after conducting field research showedthat culinary traders in the Tanggo Rajo Ancol Tourism Area, Jambi, had been selling fordecades before the area was known as a tourist area. Furthermore, it is known that the incomeof culinary traders will increase compared to their daily income if it coincides with importantmoments such as school holidays, the month of Ramadan, holidays, celebrations of theIndonesian Independence Day and Jambi Province Anniversary, and festivals with culturalnuances. Next, culinary traders in the Tanggo Rajo Ancol Jambi Tourism Area areconcentrated in two locations, namely under the Gentala Arasy Bridge to the Tanggo RajoGate and from the Jambi Police Chief's House to Kasang Harbor / Pasir Harbor.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the variety and meaning of the philosophy of Malay women's clothingin the Kota Jambi Seberang area and explain the changes and developments in the variety ofwomen's clothing in Kota Jambi Seberang. This research used historical method which consists offour steps, namely heuristics, criticism, interpretation and historiography. The sources used areprimary sources in the form of archives, interviews and skunder sources in the form of articles, booksand other literature. The findings showed that although in the following times there were changesand developments in Malay clothing in the Kota Jambi Seberang, it still survived and was still usedby women in daily life to certain events (official / formal) such as tengkuluk, baju kurung, and batik.In fact, there have been many new products produced from some of these Malay clothes such as batikthrough product diversification. Changes and developments are also supported due to trends,fashions, and government policies.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the Legend of the Orang Kayo Hitam as a historical source in the form of oral traditions and explain the historical values contained in the Legend of the Orang Kayo Hitam including religious, cultural and moral values. The method used in this research is a historical research method which consists of several stages, namely heuristics, criticism, interpretation and historiography. The primary sources used in this research were interviews with traditional elders, caretakers of the Tanjabtim Black Kayo people's cemetery, Jambi city residents. Meanwhile, secondary sources used are books, theses, journals and internet sources. The research results provide an explanation that the Legend of the Black Kayo People is a folk tale that has become an oral tradition in Jambi since the Islamic period until now, even the Black Kayo People today have become city icons such as the Keris Siginjei Monument, the name of the street, all of which are still tied to the Legend of the Black Kayo People. Apart from that, researchers also found that the legend of the Black Kayo People still has religious value and there are still many people who worship the Black Kayo People.

Abstract

The problem in this research concerns women who work at the Gado-Gado Wara-Wiri stall. The main problem in this research is the life, career and role of women in the traditional culinary business Gado-gado Wara-Wiri 1962 – 2020. The aim of this research refers to the problems raised, so the aim is to explain the role and position of women who were figures/actors in a historical event and how to divide the roles into working women and housewives. The method used in this research is a historical research method which consists of several stages, namely heuristics, criticism, interpretation and historiography. The primary source used in this research was interviews with women workers and Gado-Gado Wara-Wiri entrepreneurs in Jambi City. Meanwhile, secondary sources used are books, theses, journals and internet sources. The research results provide an explanation of the activities of women working in the Gado-Gado Wara-Wiri business in the city, for a very long time, especially since 1962, this gado-gado business has been managed by women both from the family and recruiting employees from the surrounding community who need work to meet their needs or help their husbands to earn a living. Apart from that, researchers also found that women can carry out a dual role, where apart from being workers, women are also not free from their responsibilities as housewives.

Abstract

The problem in this research concerns the tourism industry in the tourist area in Jambi City. The aim of this research refers to the problems raised, so the aim is to explain that tourism destinations can influence the tourism industry in Jambi City and describe how tourism contributes to the economy of communities around tourist destinations in Jambi City. The method used in this research is a historical research method which consists of several stages, namely heuristics, criticism, interpretation and historiography. The primary source used in this research is interviews with traders in tourist destination areas in Jambi City. Meanwhile, secondary sources used are books and internet sources. The research results provide an explanation of how the activities of Tourism Industry traders generate a lot of profits during the holiday season. The results of this research also provide an explanation of the economic life around the tourist destination area in Jambi City. The conclusion of this research is the Tourism Industry in Jambi City 2006 -2020. Experiencing many significant changes in several sectors, one of which is the Gentala Arasy Bridge, where more and more visitors are coming to this tourist attraction to enjoy the Batanghari River, especially now that they can easily get to Jambi, Sebrang City.

Abstract

The aim of the research is to find out whether there is a difference in the History learning outcomes of students using the PJBL and PBL learning methods and to find out the extent of the difference in student learning outcomes using the PJBL learning method and the PBL learning model. The method used in this research is the type of research the author uses is experimental research. Experimental research is research that is intended to determine whether or not there are comparisons in a case or subject being investigated. This research uses groups for treatment. While secondary sources used are books, theses, journals and internet sources. The research results provide an explanation where, from the results obtained in the research carried out in determining the comparison of PBL and PJBL methods and learning outcomes at SMAN 08 Muaro Jambi, the influence of learning using the PJBL method further increases interest in learning and learning outcomes. So it can be said that there is a significant comparison between variable X and variable Y so that it can be concluded that the value of the alternative hypothesis is accepted. And for learning outcomes in using the PJBL learning method, there were 30 students with the average student assessment results for the class getting a score of 78.66%.
