Abstract

This study aims to understand the effect of current strength variations on the Direct Current Negative Electrode (DCEN) polarity on the results of welding at butt joint joints. In this study, ASTM A36 steel was chosen as the main material, while the E6013 electrode was used as the welding electrode. The method used is an experimental approach with a qualitative approach, which allows researchers to gain a deeper understanding of the effect of current variables on welding results. The results of three experiments conducted at welding current of 60 A, 90 A, and 120 A provide a clear picture of the effect of these variables on the butt joint. In the first specimen with a current strength of 60 A, there was not enough penetration and many defects in the capping. Low current strength does not produce optimal welding results at the joint. However, in the second specimen with a current strength of 90 A, there was an initiation of penetration, although it was still incomplete. There are also fewer defects in the capping compared to the first specimen, and it shows an increase in welding results with an increase in current strength. In the third specimen with a current strength of 120 A, there is better penetration, but still not achieving complete penetration. In addition, the capping has many defects, including the suck back. It shows that using high current strength only sometimes produces optimal welding results and can present challenges, such as joint defects.

Abstract

In this modern era, technology is progressing rapidly, including welding techniques. In this welding process, a welder has a manual called WPS (Welding Procedure Specification). The role of WPS in welding is very important, this is because WPS is made to achieve good welding results and according to what is desired. Therefore, research regarding the suitability of WPS with welding results was carried out. This study uses an experimental method by performing GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) welding in the 1G position and the test process is carried out with a bending test. This bending test process is carried out to find out whether the WPS used is in accordance with the desired results or not. In the bending test results that have been carried out by welding experiments twice, the bending test results are 3.528 kN/mm 2 . In this welding process, more optimal results were obtained using the amperage parameters of 94A – 106A and a voltage of 23 V – 25 V. In this process no visual welding defects were found so that this WPS could be used by trainees.

Abstract

Along with the development of information and communication technology, the millennial generation uses social media as a place to get information. One of the Instagram’s social media account that contains information is @akutahu. The existence of this account makes the millennial generation easier to read and increase knowledge. @akutahu is an online news platform with positive journalism principles that believe that consuming positive news will make the public smarter. The purpose of this study is to find out how much influence the attractiveness of @akutahu's social media content has on the reading interest of the millennial generation who are followers of @akutahu’s Instagram account. This study uses several of theories, namely content attractiveness, social media, reading interest, millennial generation. This study uses a quantitative research using survey methods. The population of this study is the millennial generation (aged 21-40) followers of the @akutahu’s Instagram account, using a sample of 100 people with non-probability sampling and purposive sampling techniques. The results of this study indicate that the attractiveness of @akutahu's social media content has an effect of 71.2% on millennial generation's reading interest. The influence of the attractiveness of content on Instagram @akutahu has a strong relationship to the reading interest of the millennial generation. Seiring perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi, generasi milenial menjadikan media sosial sebagai tempat untuk mendapatkan informasi. Salah satu akun media sosial Instagram yang berisikan informasi ialah @akutahu. Adanya akun tersebut memudahkan generasi milenial membaca serta menambah pengetahuan. @akutahu merupakan platform berita online dengan prinsip jurnalisme positif yang meyakini bahwa dengan mengkonsumsi berita positif akan membentuk publik menjadi lebih cerdas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh daya tarik konten media sosial @akutahu terhadap minat baca generasi milenial yang merupakan followers dari akun Instagram @akutahu. Dalam penelitian ini  menggunakan beberapa teori  yaitu daya tarik konten, media sosial, minat baca, generasi milenial. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode survei. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah generasi milenial (usia 21-40 tahun) pengikut (followers) akun Instagram @akutahu, dengan menggunakan sampel sebanyak 100 orang teknik non-probability sampling dan purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa daya tarik konten media sosial @akutahu berpengaruh sebesar 71,2% terhadap minat baca generasi milenial. Pengaruh daya tarik konten pada Instagram @akutahu memiliki hubungan kuat terhadap minat baca generasi milenial.

Abstract

Background : Air quality in operating rooms is a crucial factor in preventing postoperative infections (operating Site Infections). One of the main indicators for assessing air quality is the airborne bacterial count, which indicates the number of microorganisms in the air (CFU/m³). Objective : This study aims to describe the airborne bacterial count in operating rooms across several hospitals in East Kalimantan in 2024. Research Methods/ Implementation Methods : descriptive design Results : Based on the measurements, 100% of empty operating rooms, 80% of operating rooms in use, and 75% of ultraclean operating rooms did not meet the required standards. Hospital F (IKN) recorded the highest airborne bacterial count at 477 CFU/m³, while the lowest was found at Hospital D (Kutai Kertanegara) with 5 CFU/m³. Conclusion/Lesson Learned : The results showed that most operating rooms did not meet the air quality standards as stipulated in the Indonesian Ministry of Health Regulation No. 2 of 2023.
