Abstract

The objective of this research is to improve skill and conceptual understanding on programing CNC TU-3A for twelfth grade level in SMK N 5 Surakarta by implementation of the drill learning method with CutViewer Software based. This research was belong to classroom action research. This research was implemented in two cycles, each cycle was composed of four stages, there was planning stage, action stage, observation and reflection. Every cycle is carried out in two meetings. The subjects of this research were twelfth grade level in SMK N 5 Surakarta. The data were collected from teacher and students. The techniques of data collection were observation, interview, and learning achievement test. The method of data validity were Expert Judgement and Construct validity. The resulting data were analyzed as quantitative descriptive and comparative descriptive. The result of this research showed that the implementation of the Drill learning method of CutViewer Software could improved skill and conceptual understanding of student on CNC TU-3A programing. At initial condition, the skill of the student was 45,31%, meanwhile the conceptual understanding of students was 35,23%, and the average score of learning result was 64,58. After the action of the first cycle, student?s skills increased to 73,44% and the conceptual understanding become 70,17% with the average score of learning result was 84,67. At the action of the second cycle, skill of students become 88,75% and the conceptual understanding increased to 89,77%, and the final average score of learning result was 92,52. The conclusion of this research is the implementation of the Drill learning method of CutViewer Software based could increase the skill and conceptual understanding of students on CNC lesson especially on CNC TU-3A programming.

Abstract

Teknologi pada abad 21 memiliki peran yang penting dalam perubahan hidup manusia, salah satu perubahan tersebut yaitu penggunaan mesin-mesin yang mulai menggantikan peranan manusia, sebagai contoh peranan manusia yang digantikan oleh mesin adalah perpindahan barang. Konveyor menjadi salah satu mesin yang umum digunakan dalam memindahkan barang dari satu tempat ke tempat yang lain, konveyor terdapat berbagai jenis seperti belt conveyor, chain conveyor, roller conveyor dan lainnya. Di PT. Cemindo Gemilang Bayah mesin konveyor yang dipakai adalah chain scraper yang digunakan untuk mengangkut material berupa fly ash dari boiler menuju clingker silo. Kerusakan merupakan hal yang lumrah terjadi padi mesin, untuk mencegah hal tersebut maka hal yang harus dilakukan adalah melakukan perawatan pada mesin tersebut. Perawatan adalah suatu perpaduan dari serangkaian kegiatan yang bertujuan untuk mengelola dan memperbaiki mesin agar terjamin kesiapan operasionalnya. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui perawatan preventif pada mesin chain scraper di PT. Cemindo Gemilang Bayah. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan kualitatif, yang hasilnya dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan studi literatur. Dengan hasil pembahasannya yaitu perawatan yang dilakukan terhadap mesin chain scraper meliputi perawatan pencegahan dan perawatan korektif. Pada perawatan preventif dilakukan tindakan adjusment pada chain dengan cara mengencangkan spring, cleaning pada bagian rotary feeder dengan cara dibersihkan menggunakan linggis atau benda panjang lainnya. dan inspection pada gearbox  dengan cara mengkur vibrasi pada gearbox serta melakukan pelumasan pada bearing, sedangkan pada perawatan korektif dilakukan tindakan replacement untuk komponen seperti teflon rod, rubber kopling, spring, bearing, chain, casing, dan reparation pada casing chain scraper dengan cara melakukan penambalan menggunakan silikon dan las.

Abstract

Electricity is a modern-day invention that has become the driving force behind the majority of industries. The 3-phase motor system includes it. The 3-phase motor system is an electrical device-owned system that converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. The purpose of this research is to complete the development of a forward-reverse control system using a three-phase motor and to determine the feasibility test results for a three-phase motor system trainer with a forward-reverse circuit. Data collection techniques were used in conjunction with data analysis of experimental results using qualitative descriptive techniques. This method is used by describing the entire series. This technique is carried out by describing the entire series of research flows beginning with the analysis of tool and material needs, design of control systems, realization of control systems, testing of control systems, and results of testing of control systems. The study's findings indicate that creating a system using a 3-phase induction motor, which is commonly used in various industries for production purposes, can increase the practical ease of use in distributing AC power to the system. Furthermore, the implementation of this 3-phase motor can control electricity effectively. Because its components are highly efficient, a three-phase motor is used. Using a PLN voltage source. Stripping pliers and cable cutters, a digital multimeter, and one set of screwdrivers were used. There are several buttons (buttons), and when the forward button is pressed, the voltage is distributed to the magneticcontractor forward, and the induction motor rotates forward. When the reverse button is pressed, themagnetic contractor reverses; if it is already in operation, the motor moves in the opposite direction.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the definition of corrosion, types of corrosion, corrosion protection in the steel production process, corrosion protection using inhibitors, types of inhibitors, and types of inhibitors for various materials. The research approach is a qualitative approach with a literature review research method. The research data obtained were analyzed descriptively and quantitatively. This research was conducted by systematically analyzing literary sources in the form of scientific articles, books, accompaniments and theses from reliable sources. The results of this study examine the process of corrosion protection in steel production processes and products using various types of inhibitors. The result is that the coiled coil material is subjected to a continuous curing line to produce galvanized steel coils, which can lead to corrosion of the material, among other things by environmental concentrations. The corrosion process can be prevented in various ways, one of which is with an inhibitor. The types of inhibitors used consist of organic and inorganic materials. The inorganic inhibitors used were EonCor W203, while the organic inhibitors used were extracts of guava leaves, tea leaves, soybeans and coffee.

Abstract

Korosi merupakan kerusakan Hal ini disebabkan oleh reaksi kimia antara bahan logam dan unsur alam lainnya.Korosi adalah serangan destruktif pada logam melalui reaksi kimia atau elektrokimia dengan lingkungan. Strukturnya metalik atau non-logam, korosi dapat mengakibatkan biaya yang sangat tinggi, kapal terbuat dari baja, terdapat kelemahan teknis akibat laju korosi kapal,berkurangnya umur kelelahan, kekuatan tarik, Degradasi sifat mekanik material lainnya. Penelitain ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui laju korosi pada kapal dan cara pengendalianya. Metode penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan studi literatur secara sistematis meninjau pustaka dalam bentuk artikel ilmiah, buku, disertasi dan disertasi dari sumber perpustakaan terpercaya lainnya. Ada kelemahan teknis dialami akibat korosi kecepatan kapal, berkurangnya umur kelelahan, kekuatan tarik, Degradasi sifat mekanik material lainnya. Korosi pada konstruksi kapal tidak dapat dihilangkan tetapi hanya diperlambat perkembangannya. Korosi adalah dapat penyebababkan  menurunnya kekuatan plat lambung kapal, mengurangi kecepatan kapal, serta mengurangi jaminan keselamatan dan keamanan muatan dan penumpang. Pembuatan jurnal kali ini kita membahas pengertian korosi dan juga jenis jenis korosi dan juga bagaimana cara pengendalian korosi mengetauhi bagian bagian yang rawan korosi di kapal.

Abstract

A teaching module is a set of tools, media, methods, instructions and learning guidelines that are prepared and planned to suit the student's development phase. The following research aims to examine the feasibility of a product from developing a project-based SMAW Welding Module (PjBl) for Mechanical Engineering Vocational Education students, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University. This research was carried out using a quantitative approach. The following research is part of research and development using the Borg and Gall method, namely Develop Preliminary Form of Product Testing using the Expert Judgment validity test. The research results were analyzed descriptively quantitatively. The research results showed that the feasibility of the module content reached 87% in the very good and very feasible category, the feasibility of the learning presentation reached 92% in the very good and very appropriate category, the appropriateness of the language reached 89% and was in the very good and very feasible category and finally based on feasibility. Graphics reached 93% so it is included in the very good and very worthy category. Overall, the conclusion is drawn that the validity of the Project-based SMAW Welding Module (PjBl) is in the very good and very feasible category and can be continued to the Preliminary Field Testing stage.

Abstract

SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) welding has wide applications in the industrial world. To master welding technology, it is necessary to carry out further research on the effect of gaps on the microstructure after experiencing welding. Welding is a process of joining metalsby heating process, because of that, the process can change the basic properties of the base material. In this study, the material used was ASTM A36 carbon steel. That material was weldedby many variables that have been determined and the limitations of the problem during the study. The required specimen welding results are 6 pieces. There are three kindsof variables in this research; theywere independent variables, namely the Rootgap distance and polarity on the electrodes of the SMAW welding machine, using two types of polarity, namely (DCEN) and (DCEP). The dependent variables in this study were defects in the translucency of SMAW welding results obtained bySolvent Penetrant Testing method. The control variables in this study were welding current 90A, Voltage 21V, Electrode AWS A5.1 E6013 with SMAW welding process and Butt-joint welding type. The welding joint was a V-groovewith 30º of bevel angle and 2mm of root face. The study results showed that the welding translucency is affected by polarity and rootgap distance, where the DCEN polarity showed better translucent welding results than welding with DCEP polarity, even though it was still not in accordance with the standard.

Abstract

Efforts to create vehicles that have high efficiency and do not produce polluting exhaust gases have become the subject of research that is increasingly being developed by various automotive industry companies. Coupled with the issue of climate change which has ultimately prompted various vehicle innovations to immediately reduce the use of petroleum fuel, making various advances in the automotive sector to find substitutes for fuel to drive engines such as electricity, hybrid systems, and most recently the use of fuel cells. The research was carried out at the Tangerang Science and Technology Research Center (Puspiptek) with the aim of analyzing, studying and designing a gas refueling system (hydrogen gas refueling station). The data collection technique was carried out using an experimental descriptive method by testing the variable temperature of sunlight on the electrical voltage produced. The research results show that the hydrogen gas filling system station has a more practical filling system for filling fuel for fuel cell vehicles compared to hydrogen cylinders in general. The relationship between the temperature variables of sunlight is directly proportional to the increase in electrical voltage in the battery. Variable sunlight temperature and electrical voltage influence the increase in pressure of the gas produced. However, the gas pressure storage system has been set so as not to exceed the maximum capacity. However, vehicle systems that use fuel cells to transmit power to the engine only emit water as the end result of the combustion process. Of course, with exhaust emissions that are only water, this will make a vehicle powered by hydrogen an environmentally friendly vehicle. Even though the application in the world automotive market of vehicles with fuel cells is still limited, further developments in vehicles with fuel cells will create updated solutions in reducing the high use of petroleum as a save the earth movement on the issue of climate change.

Abstract

SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) is one of the most frequently used welding methods in industry. One of the causes that affect the quality of SMAW welding Results is the bevel angle and polarity used. The research method used in this study is an experiment with a qualitative approach. This study aims to explore and analyze the effect of bevel angle and polarity on defects in SMAW welding translucent. The Results show that specimens with positive polarity (DCEP) produce more defects in the weld penetration than those with negative polarity (DCEN), both in terms of quality and quantity. then an analysis of the variation of the angle used can be seen that an angle of 30° produces better weld penetration Results in terms of quality and quantity. so as to minimize defects in the Results of weld penetration the recommended parameters that can be used are a bevel angle of 30° and negative polarity (DCEN).

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi di era sekarang berkembang sangat cepat salah satunya di bidang industri. Di Indonesia industri mengalami kemajuan teknologi yang pesat, baik industri besar maupun kecil, berbagai teknologi bermunculan, dari teknologi yang baru ditemukan hingga perkembangan teknologi sebelumnya. Motor induksi adalah motor yang menggunakan medan magnet agar dapat mengubah energi listrik menjadi energi kinetik serta memiliki slip antara medan magnet stator dan medan magnet motor. Motor tiga fasa memiliki fitur yang dapat diatasi dalam beberapa instalasi, salah satunya adalah sistem penggerak bintang (Y)-delta multi sistem (Δ) yang sederhana dan dapat diakses oleh semua orang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sistem kerja pada star delta dengan motor tiga fasa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode eksperimen dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Sehingga hasil dan pembahasan pada penelitian ini yaitu dengan merancang sistem kontrol dengan beberapa tombol seperti star, delta dan off. Dimana hasil realisasinya pada rangkaian putaran motor akan mengalami kecepatan yang lebih tinggi ketika ditekan tombol delta. Jadi kesimpulannya tombol-tombol tersebut dapat mengatur kecepatan putaran motor induksi dari minimum hingga maksimum.
