Abstract

Children with special needs face diverse obstacles in social interaction and communication, yet not all struggle equally in these domains. In response, Indonesia's government has implemented inclusive education initiatives to uphold their rights, as mandated by Law No. 20 of 2003. This study investigates inclusive education provision and social interactions among deaf students, regular peers, and teachers, aiming to evaluate services enhancing social integration for deaf students. Employing qualitative methods with descriptive analysis, the research sheds light on the challenges deaf children encounter, particularly in verbal communication, necessitating reliance on visual cues to compensate for hearing impairments. Perwira Elementary Public School employs specialized activities fostering auditory perception and rhythm communication skills. Crucially, parents are instrumental in supporting their children's verbal communication through everyday language practice, aided by hearing devices and teacher guidance. This research underscores the importance of inclusive education initiatives in facilitating social interaction and communication for children with special needs. It provides insights into effective strategies, such as sensory-focused activities and parental involvement, contributing to the broader discourse on inclusive education and its implications for the well-being and development of children with special needs.

Abstract

Industri peternakan ayam broiler di Indonesia merupakan sektor utama dalam penyediaan protein hewani bagi masyarakat. Berdasarkan data Direktorat Jenderal Peternakan dan Kesehatan Hewan, populasi ayam broiler nasional mengalami peningkatan pada tahun 2022 dibandingkan 2021, didorong oleh tingginya konsumsi masyarakat terhadap daging ayam. Meskipun berpotensi ekonomi tinggi, meningkatnya populasi juga memicu produksi limbah seperti kotoran ayam, limbah air, serta konsumsi energi yang berlebih, yang dapat mencemari lingkungan jika tidak dikelola dengan baik. Penelitian ini bertujuan membandingkan dua sistem pemeliharaan ayam broiler, yaitu open house dan semi-close house, dari sisi dampak lingkungan dan kelayakan ekonomi. Metode yang digunakan adalah Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) dengan pendekatan ReCiPe 2016 endpoint yang mencakup tiga kategori dampak: human health, ecosystem quality, dan resources. Sementara itu, aspek finansial dianalisis menggunakan Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA) melalui indikator biaya, penerimaan, R/C ratio, B/C ratio, BEP, dan ROI. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem semi-close memiliki dampak lingkungan yang lebih besar dibandingkan sistem open, terutama akibat konsumsi pakan dan energi. Dari sisi ekonomi, sistem semi-close menghasilkan pendapatan lebih tinggi, namun disertai biaya tetap dan variabel yang besar, dengan ROI hanya sebesar 2% dan R/C ratio < 1. Sebaliknya, sistem open house menunjukkan performa ekonomi lebih baik dengan ROI sebesar 11,03% dan R/C ratio > 1, serta dampak lingkungan yang lebih rendah. Dengan demikian, sistem open house dinilai lebih layak secara finansial dan ramah lingkungan.
