The rapid expansion of social enterprises in Indonesia reflects a growing response to pressing socio-economic challenges. Existing research on Indonesian social entrepreneurship often examines these issues in isolation, lacking a comprehensive, integrative perspective. This study addresses this gap by conducting a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of 94 Scopus- and Google Scholar-indexed research articles, analyzed using Publish or Perish 8 and Covidence software. The findings reveal six interdependent dimensions shaping Indonesia’s social entrepreneurship ecosystem: (1) organizational and policy frameworks, (2) business models and financial sustainability, (3) social and economic impact, (4) education and innovation, (5) religiosity and cultural influences, and (6) gender dynamics. Unlike prior studies that focus predominantly on descriptive narratives and case studies, this research provides a holistic, critical analysis, highlighting persistent gaps in policy implementation, financial accessibility, and cross-sector collaboration. The study also situates Indonesia’s social entrepreneurship landscape within a broader global context, identifying key disparities and potential areas for alignment with international best practices. The findings carry significant implications: for academics, the study establishes a foundation for future research on policy interventions and sustainable business models; for policymakers, it underscores the urgency of developing structured financial support mechanisms and regulatory frameworks; and for social entrepreneurs, it provides a strategic roadmap to navigate challenges, leverage opportunities, and enhance impact. Ultimately, this research underscores the critical need for targeted interventions to strengthen Indonesia’s social enterprise sector. Without a concerted effort to address systemic constraints, the sector risks stagnation, limiting its ability to drive inclusive economic growth and social transformation.

The study examined the internal dynamics of the Hompimpa Semarang Community, a youth-based cultural group dedicated to preserving traditional games within an increasingly digital society. The research aimed to understand why the community experienced declining member participation, recurring interpersonal tensions, and weakening organizational structure after its reactivation following the pandemic. The study explored how these issues affected the community’s ability to sustain its cultural and educational programs. The research employed a literature-based qualitative method to analyze organizational conflict, member commitment, and leadership practices within the community. Data were reviewed through documented activities, internal narratives, and theoretical frameworks related to conflict management, collective engagement, and transformational leadership. The findings indicated that conflicts were primarily triggered by unequal task distribution, communication gaps between divisions, and limited face-to-face interaction caused by differing academic schedules. These factors contributed to reduced motivation and weakened group cohesion. However, the study found that participatory and reflective leadership successfully transformed tensions into opportunities for collective learning, leading to increased trust and renewed commitment among members. Structural limitations, particularly the absence of formal recognition from academic institutions, continued to hinder long-term stability. The study offered original insights into how informal youth communities could strengthen sustainability by developing clear organizational structures, formal legitimacy, and consistent transformational leadership. It also highlighted the importance of communication systems and recognition mechanisms in rebuilding collective responsibility. These findings may inform future studies on youth-based cultural organizations and community-led cultural preservation efforts.

The “Beginner Brewer” community activity organized by Koffie Rakjat Semarang stands out as an informal learning space for individuals new to coffee brewing techniques, but so far there has been little scientific study regarding its impact on participants’ sensory experiences. This study aims to analyze how beginners understand and evaluate the flavor profile of Aceh Gayo single-origin coffee “Drama” through practical brewing sessions. The research method used a qualitative descriptive approach with data sources consisting of activity documentation, observations of popular articles, and direct quotations from participants’ experiences. The results showed that mentoring with simple techniques such as the V60 (1:15) and French Press (1:12) contributed to participants’ increased understanding of the fruity character and flavor complexity of “Drama,” which has flavor notes of passion fruit, pineapple, strawberry jam, rum, and palm sugar. Participants also reported that the inclusive learning environment made the brewing process easy and enjoyable, and encouraged continued interest in specialty coffee. In conclusion, this community activity is effective as an initial educational tool that shapes flavor perception and increases the confidence of beginner brewers in understanding specialty coffee.
