Abstract

Students must learn  mathematics with understanding, actively building new knowledge from expeirience and prior knowledge. The students’ problems to build mathematics undeitanding is‘n cause balancingly between learning mathematisc and students’ deveopment thanicteristic, specially, elemantay school In this schcool,in this case the difficulty may be caused abtract concepts of mathematics and students’ characteristic that is apply thinking logic in concrete objects. In this journal described learning alternative to build mathematics understanding for elemantary school with students’ development characteristic.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat perbedaan kemampuan menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika dengan teknik pemecahan masalah model polya siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 46 Palembang.  Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah true experimental design dengan bentuk posttest-only control design.  Populasi yang di gunakan adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 46 Palembang tahun ajaran 2014/2015 yang terdiri dari delapan kelas dengan jumlah siswa 317 orang.  Dari delapan kelas di ambil dua kelas sampel yaitu kelas VIII.5 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII.8 sebagai kelas kontrol.  Dengan penentuan sampel teknik purposive sampling.  Analisis data tes menggunakan uji hipotesis.  Berdassarkan hasil analisis dapat di simpulkan kemampuan menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika setelah di terapkannya teknik pemecahan masalah model polya di dapatkan rata-rata kelas eksperimen 70,7 lebih besar dari kelas kontrol 57,1, dimana thitung = 2,963 > ttabel = 1,664 dengan

Abstract

PISA model mathematical problem development using the Palembang context is an alternative to improve student mathematical abilities or student’s mathematical literacy. This type of research is a development research consisting of a preminary stage ( preparation and design ) and a prototyping stage using a formative evaluation design flow including the self-evaluation, expert review, one-to-one, small group and field test stages. This study aims to explain the validity and practicality of the PISA model mathematical problems using the Palembang context. And has a potential effect on student learning outcomes. As for the subjects in this study were the SMP Negeri 22 Palembang school in class VIII.1, totaling 29 people. This research resulted in: 1). The PISA model mathematical problem using the Palembang context which is classified as valid. 2). The PISA model mathematics problem using the Palembang context which is classified as practical. 3). How do students' mathematical literacy skills after using the PISA model math problems using the Palembang context

Abstract

This study aims to examine the level of students' critical thinking skills after the guided discovery model was applied. The type of research in this study is a qualitative development research using stages: preparation, implementation and completion. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, tests, and interviews. Observation was used to observe students during the learning process using the guided discovery model, the test was used to determine the level of students' critical thinking skills after the guided discovery learning model was applied, and interviews were used to confirm the test results obtained by the students. The subjects in this study were class VIII SMP Negeri 40 Palembang with a total of 6 students. Through the guided discovery learning model, the results of this study were that the students' critical thinking skills were (1) Subject S1 had high ability with the results of tests and interviews that met the five indicators of critical thinking ability and on the subject of master's degree based on the results of tests and interviews that met four indicators of ability critical thinking except for reason indicators, (2) Subject S3 had moderate ability with test and interview results that have met four indicators of critical thinking skills except reason indicators and S4 subjects based on test and interview results have met three indicators of critical thinking skills except reasons and concluded, and (3) Subject S5 and S6 had low ability in based on test results and interviews only fulfills one indicator of critical thinking ability, namely situation indicators. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk dapat mengkaji tingkat kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa setelah diterapkan model guided discovery. Jenis penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif pengembangan dengan menggunakan tahapan yaitu ada tahapan persiapan, pelaksanaan dan penyelesaian. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi, tes, dan wawancara. Observasi digunakan untuk mengamati siswa ketika berlangsungnya proses pembelajaran menggunakan model guided discovery, tes digunakan untuk mengetahui tingkat kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran guided discovery, dan wawancara digunakan untuk mengkonfirmasi hasil tes yang telah diperoleh siswa. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII SMP Negeri 40 Palembang dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 6 siswa. Melalui model pembelajaran guided discovery maka hasil penelitian ini adalah diperoleh kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang (1) berkemampuan tinggi pada subjek S1 dengan hasil tes dan wawancara telah memenuhi kelima indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis dan pada subjek S2 berdasarkan hasil tes dan wawancara telah memenuhi empat indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis kecuali indikator alasan, (2) berkemampuan sedang pada subjek S3 dengan hasil tes dan wawancara telah memenuhi empat indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis kecuali indikator alasan dan pada subjek S4 berdasarkan hasil tes dan wawancara telah memenuhi tiga indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis kecuali alasan dan menyimpulkan, dan (3) berkemampuan rendah pada subjek S5 dan subjek S6 berdasarkan hasil tes dan wawancara hanya memenuhi satu indikator kemampuan berpikir kritis yaitu indikator situasi.

Abstract

This study aims to see and describe the difficulties of students in solving problems of fractional number operations in class VII and the factors that influence these difficulties. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative, qualitative research method developed by Moleong which consists of the preparation stage, implementation stage and completion stage. The subjects of this study were seventh grade students of SMP Karya Ibu Palembang. The data collection technique used is a test instrument that has been validated by three mathematicians and interviews using non-structural methods. The data analysis techniques used are 1) data reduction, 2) data presentation, and 3) conclusion drawing. The results of this study are: 1) This study has found out what difficulties are experienced by students in solving fractional number operation test questions 2) Factors that influence students so that they experience difficulties in solving fractional number operation test questions

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) method on students' mathematical communication abilities. The type of research used is a Quasi-Experimental type (pseudo-experimental) and uses the True Experimental Design research design with the Posttest-Only Controll form. The research was conducted at SMP Ikhlasiyah Palembang with a population of all students of class VII consisting of 2 classes. The sample were taken from all members of all population so that class VII.1 as the experimental class was given treatment, namely the Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) method and class VII.2 as the control class which was not given treatment, namely the conventional method. Research data was collected through tests. Based on the analysis of the test results, it shows that the students' mathematical communication skills in the experimental class are higher than those in the control class. This means that the class that was treated with the TAPPS method affected students' mathematical communication skills. Statistical calculations obtained from the test results yield tcount = 2.944 and ttable = 2.013, so that tcount > ttable which causes H0 to be rejected and H1 to be accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) method on the mathematical communication abilities of class VII students of SMP Ikhlasiyah Palembang.

Abstract

This study aims to produce computer-based mathematics learning media using the Adobe Animate CC application on arithmetic sequences and series material in the context of Malay Islam with valid and prismatic categories. This type of research is design research in the development study section of the Akker method with the Tessmer procedure which consists of a preliminary stage and a prototyping stage with a formative evaluation flow (self-evaluation, one-to-one, small group, and field test stages). The research subjects were students of class XI MA Aulia Cendekia Palembang. The results show that the learning media developed is valid and practical.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran matematika berbasis komputer menggunakan aplikasi Adobe Animate CC pada materi barisan dan deret aritmetika dalam konteks Islam Melayu dengan kategori valid dan priaktis. Jenis penelitian ini adalah design research pada bagian development study metode Akker dengan prosedur Tessmer yang terdiri dari tahap preliminary dan tahap prototyping dengan alur formative evaluation (tahap selft evaluation, one-to-one, small group, dan field test). Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI MA Aulia Cendekia Palembang. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan valid dan praktis.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan berpikir aljabar siswa pada pembelajaran sistem persamaan linear dua variabel (SPLDV) setelah menggunakan pendekatan Problem Based Learning (PBL). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII.1 MTs GUPPI Sukamoro. Teknik Pengumpulan Data dalam penelitian ini adalah Observasi, Tes dan Wawancara. Dari hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan berpikir aljabar siswa kelas VIII.1 dalam menyelesaikan tes kemampuan berpikir aljabar setelah menggunakan pendekatan PBL belum mampu meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir aljabar. Hal ini ditunjukkan dari hasil tes siswa yang belum merata dimana terdapat 5 siswa berkemampuan tinggi, 17 siswa berkemampuan sedang dan 5 siswa berkemampuan rendah. Siswa yang berkemampuan berpikir aljabar tinggi mampu memenuhi 6 dari 7 indikator berpikir aljabar. Siswa yang memiliki kemampuan berpikir aljabar sedang mampu memenuhi 4 dari 7 indikator kemampuan berpikir aljabar dan siswa yang memiliki kemampuan berpikir aljabar rendah tidak mampu memenuhi seluruh indikator kemampuan berpikir aljabar. Kata Kunci : Problem Based Learning, SPLDV, Berpikir Aljabar
