Abstrak: Berdasarkan pengamatan yang dilakukan di SMP Unggulan kelas VIII, terdapat banyak peserta didik yang belum sepenuhnya menginternalisasi sikap sosial di dalam ruang kelas. Beberapa peserta didik menunjukkan kurangnya kedisiplinan dan tanggung jawab, seperti sering terlambat masuk kelas, kurang fokus saat guru menjelaskan, dan terlibat dalam kegiatan yang tidak sesuai selama jam pelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendapatkan deskripsi tentang: 1) gambaran proses pembelajaran IPS yang dilakukan guru dalam menanamkan sikap sosial pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Unggulan, dan 2) hasil penanaman sikap-sikap sosial siwa kelas VIII SMP Unggulan melalui pembelajaran IPS. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Sampel yang digunakan jenis purposive sampling adalah kelas VIII dengan sampel sebanyak 40 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan datanya adalah observasi atau pengamatan, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Selanjutnya uji keabsahan data menggunakan teknik triangulasi sumber. Hasil analisis yang ditemukan yakni penanaman dan hasil sikap sosial melalui pembelajaran IPS pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Unggulan sudah tertanam dengan kategori “Baik”. Cara menanamkannya yakni dengan kemampuan guru memberikan contoh sikap interaksi yang baik kepada siswa di dalam maupun di luar kelas, mengaitkan materi pelajaran IPS dengan nilai sikap sosial sesuai indikator, dan memberikan kalimat-kalimat positif mengandung nilai sikap sosial di awal pembelajaran.Abstract: Based on observations made at Class VIII Unggulan Middle Schools, there are many students who have not fully internalized social attitudes in the classroom. Some students show a lack of discipline and responsibility, such as often being late for class, lacking focus when the teacher explains, and being involved in inappropriate activities during class hours. The aim of this research is to obtain a description of: 1) an overview of the social studies learning process carried out by the teacher in instilling social attitudes in class VIII students at Unggulan Middle School, and 2) the results of instilling social attitudes in class VIII students at Unggulan Middle School through social studies learning. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach. The sample used was purposive sampling, class VIII with a sample of 40 students. The data collection techniques are observation or observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Next, test the validity of the data using source triangulation techniques. The results of the analysis found were that the instillation and results of social attitudes through social studies learning in class VIII students at Unggulan Middle School were embedded in the "Good" category. The way to instill this is through the teacher's ability to provide examples of good interaction attitudes to students inside and outside the classroom, linking social studies subject matter with social attitude values according to indicators, and providing positive sentences containing social attitude values at the beginning of learning.
