Abstract

The importance of learning media during learning is very influential in the delivery of teaching material and achievement of learning objectives to students. The aim of this research is to analyze the skills possessed by students before treatment using YouTube media in congregational prayer teaching materials, student learning outcomes after treatment using YouTube media in congregational prayer teaching materials, and the effectiveness of using YouTube media in improving learning outcomes. This observation method, namely the research design, is a pre-experimental design. The observation design uses a single group pre-test and post test design. The sample used in this observation was a purposive sampling technique. We will clearly know the effectiveness of using YouTube media supported by educational videos as a learning medium for congregational prayer teaching materials with the following four Normalized Gain test analyzes: High ranking percentage is 22,72 percent, medium category percentage is 72,72 percent, low category percentage of 9,09 percent, the constant category percentage was 4,54 percent, and the decreasing category percentage was 4,54 percent. Based on the research results 9,09% of students who were not yet proficient passed the skills test, 90,90% passed, the average skill level of all students was 87,95 points, and the learning completion rate was 90,90%. So YouTube media can effectively improve learning skills in congregational prayer teaching materials. The use of YouTube media can be applied in Madrasas, because it has been proven to improve learning outcomes.

Abstract

The implementation of assessment in learning is often suboptimal, particularly in addressing the affective, cognitive, and psychomotor domains comprehensively. Teachers tend to overlook the affective and psychomotor domains, resulting in students demonstrating low competencies in these areas. This study aims to analyze the implementation of authentic assessment to improve student learning outcomes at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Al-Khairiyah Badamusalam. The method employed was Classroom Action Research (CAR) with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data was collected through observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The findings reveal that the planning of authentic assessment achieved a score of 81.2%, the implementation of authentic assessment scored 84.4%, and the student questionnaire results from grade IX indicated a score of 80.2%, all classified as good. Student learning outcomes improved from an average score of 78.4 in cycle I to 85.3 in cycle II, with an increase of 6.9 points. This demonstrates the effectiveness of authentic assessment in enhancing learning outcomes from a moderate to a good category.

Abstract

This paper aims to analyze teachers' competencies in conducting authentic assessments in the affective (attitude), cognitive (knowledge), and psychomotor (skills) domains. This aligns with Law Number 14 of 2005, Article 10, Paragraph 1 concerning Teachers and Lecturers, which stipulates that teachers must possess various competencies to carry out their teaching and educational duties professionally, ensuring that academic goals are effectively achieved. The method used in this study is a quantitative field survey analyzed using statistical methods. The population and sample in this study consist of 17 educators, specifically all educators at MTs Al-Khairiyah Badamusalam, Serang City, using a saturated sampling technique. The results show that the competence of MTs Al-Khairiyah Badamusalam teachers in conducting authentic assessments in the affective domain scored 70.58%, within the range of 61% to 80% (good). The teachers' ability to conduct authentic assessments in the cognitive domain reached 94.11%, within the range of 81% to 100% (very good). Their ability to conduct authentic assessments in the psychomotor domain achieved a score of 83.19%, within the range of 81% to 100% (very good). Through the implementation of authentic assessments in the learning process, it is hoped that the educational objectives at the educational unit level can be realized.
