Abstract

This research investigated the most dominant issue experienced by EFL oral class presentation in their vocal class performance and identifying the extent of the students' difficulties in delivering material. The method used was the case study approach. In gaining specific data and information, the researchers collected the data by classroom observation and interviews of English students at Universitas Islam Negeri Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin Banten. The result shows that a significantly prominent matter faced by the students in doing a presentation is the explanation aspect and Self-control, getting nervous and unconfident.

Abstract

This research seeks to investigate the role of parents in the success of children's education. It is intended to evaluate parents' role and evaluate the participation of parents in the success of elementary school students in learning English. The qualitative approach was used in this study to derive the findings by using a questionnaire and documentation from the research subject. In this report, there are 28 students and parents involved. Furthermore, the data processing method is used to accumulate the data, reduce the data, show the data, and make a conclusion. The outcome of this research is a perfect reflection of the standards of English learning success by parents. In learning vocabulary, parents understand the limitations and challenges of their children. Parents' role is also excellent; 91 percent of parents help children learn English provides benefits, and positively affect children. Then, 23 percent of parents are only interested in getting support at home with children's education; therefore, the family or siblings can help unless the child has problems.

Abstract

Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah kemampuan berbicara pada siswa kelas IV SDN Kedaung Wetan 6 yang sangat rendah. Siswa kesulitan untuk menyampaikan pendapatnya dan akibatnya adalah siswa kurang fokus saat menyimak penjelasan guru. Tujuan pada penelitian ini untuk 1) mengetahui kelayakan produk media boneka tangan, 2) mengetahui kemampuan berbicara peserta didik setelah diterapkan pembelajaran menggunakan media boneka tangan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode RD (Reasearch and Development) tipe 4D. Pada penelitian ini teknik yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data ialah teknik observasi, wawancara, dan angket validasi ahli materi dan media. Boneka tangan ini dikembangkan menjadi sebuah boneka dengan karakter benda mati yang dapat berbicara seperti makhluk hidup menggunakan mulut yang dapat digerakan oleh tangan. Validasi dilakukan kepada ahli media dan ahli materi dengan perolehan skor 94 dan 97,setelah dilakukan perhitungan dapat disimpulkan skor yang diperoleh sangat baik, jadi media boneka tangan sangat layak untuk digunakan. Hal ini selaras dengan hasil uji coba dengan siswa yang memperoleh skor rata-rata 93 dengan kategori sangat baik. Demikian pula dengan respons peserta didik sangat aktif dalam pembelajaran menggunakan media boneka tangan, terlihat antusias, dan peningkatan rasa ingin tahu.

Abstract

This study investigates teacher quality, principal performance, and the relationship between the two in the madrasa context. The research method uses a literature review. This study's primary and secondary data sources are books and articles from scientific journals. Selection, analysis, synthesis, and interpretation are carried out using this method. The study's findings indicate that the school principal's responsibility is to fulfill his duties and obligations, emphasizing his performance in terms of motivation, knowledge, attitudes, and psychomotor skills. School administrators' total efficacy is reflected in their responsibilities as managers, supervisors, educators, leaders, innovators, and motivators. Effective teaching consists of the following elements: discipline, authority, accountability, charisma, and attitude. In conclusion, the effectiveness of school principals and the caliber of their faculty are critical factors in the development of madrasas. Suggestions state that principal performance and teacher quality should be regularly monitored

Abstract

Penerapan model inquiry terbimbing yang dilaksanakan dalam pembelajaran pendidikan Agama islam materi Rukun iman pada kelas I SDN Balonggandu I. Hasil yang dicapai dari kegiatan tersebut belum mampu untuk meningkatkan prestasi siswa sesuai harapan. Hal itu disebabkan karena pengelolaan kegiatan model inquiry terbimbing belum dilakukan secara benar, seiring dengan adanya beberapa hambatan dan kelemahan yang perlu mendapatkan perhatian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan dan penilaian pada kegiatan model inquiry terbimbing. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif, dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa perencanaan model inquiry terbimbing di kedua sekolah tersebut, dilakukan dengan musyawarah pada awal tahun ajaran baru, untuk menetapkan program kegiatan, sebagai bahan acuan bagi para guru dalam melaksanaan kegiatan pembelajaran. Pengorganisasian dilakukan untuk mengatur jalannya kegiatan, dengan menempatkan orang-orang terpilih pada posisi yang tepat, sesuai dengan tugas dan tanggung jawabnya masing-masing. Pelaksanaan kegiatan model inquiry terbimbing berjalan dengan lancar, sesuai dengan jadwal yang telah ditetapkan. Merupakan realisasi dari perencanaan dan pengorganisasian, yang telah disusun sebelumnya. Penilaian pada kegiatan model inquiry terbimbing dilakukan untuk mengetahui tingkat keberhasilan pencapaian tujuan yang telah direncanakan. Penilaian pada pelaksanaan program dan penilaian pada pencapaian tingkat keberhasilan prestasi siswa. Siswa yang mengikuti kegiatan model inquiry terbimbing, pada umumnya memiliki prestasi yang baik, namun belum menunjukkan peningkatan prestasi yang signifikan. Kendala yang dihadapi dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan model inquiry terbimbing, berkenaan dengan kekurangan sumber daya manusia yang berkompeten pada bidangnya dan keterbatasan dalam pemeliharaan serta perawatan peralatan dan perlengkapan yang mendukung pencapaian keberhasilan. Adanya kemampuan untuk mengatasi dan menyelesaikan masalah masalah tersebut, dengan upaya yang dilakukan secara terus menerus, dapat menumbuhkan rasa percaya diri dari semua pihak demi meningkatkan prestasi yang diharapkan.

Abstract

The development of innovative learning media is essential to enhance students’ critical thinking skills in elementary education. This study aims to develop Domino Card learning media for fifth-grade students to improve their critical thinking skills. The research was motivated by preliminary observations at MI Mathla’ul Huda, which revealed that students’ critical thinking abilities were relatively low due to the limited use of instructional media supporting higher-order thinking. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, comprising analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. Validation results showed that the media expert awarded a score of 86%, while the material expert gave 94%, indicating high validity. The effectiveness of the media was measured through pre-test and post-test assessments. The average pre-test score was 60.37, increasing to 86.29 in the post-test. The N-gain value was 0.64 (64%), categorized as “Quite Effective.” These findings indicate that the developed domino card media effectively enhances students’ critical thinking skills.

Abstract

The background of this study is the lack of school readiness in implementing the Computer-Based National Assessment (ANBK) and the weak computer operation skills of students at SDS IT Subulussalam, Kresek, Tangerang, Banten. This study employed a qualitative research method, in which the researcher described the findings based on field conditions. The key research instrument was the researcher themself, with data collection techniques including observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which consists of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: (1) The planning of ANBK activities at SDS IT Subulussalam Kresek was the responsibility of the school principal, who ensured that all necessary facilities and infrastructure were adequately prepared, especially the laptops used during the ANBK. (2) The implementation of ANBK at SDS IT Subulussalam was conducted in the teachers’ office due to the availability of an internet connection, and the ANBK was carried out in two sessions. (3) The evaluation of ANBK activities at SDS IT Subulussalam Kresek involved the school conducting socialization programs for parents, teachers, and students, as well as coordinating with various institutions to prepare the requirements. (4) The follow-up to ANBK activities at SDS IT Subulussalam Kresek focused on improving learning services for students at both lower and upper grade levels, with an orientation toward literacy and numeracy development.
