Abstract

Media yang bervariasi penting disediakan untuk mendukung pembelajaran kimia di sekolah maupun secara mandiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran education song berbasis audiovisual pada materi unsur golongan utama. Penelitian pengembangan (R&D) yang mengadaptasi model 4-D (define, design, develop, and disseminate), yang dibatasi hingga tahap develop digunakan sebagai model pengembangan.Produk pengembangan media pembelajaran divalidasi oleh ahli materi dan ahli media, dinilai oleh tiga guru kimia SMA, serta direspon oleh sepuluh siswa kelas XII SMA. Produk akhir hasil pengembangan adalah media education song berbasis audiovisual yang memiliki karakteristik: 1) mengombinasikan antara gambar, animasi, dan suara, 2) dibuat dengan bantuan beberapa aplikasi diantaranya BandLab, Ibis paint x, Flipaclip, dan Capcut, 3) materi yang disajikan tercantum dalam Kurikulum 2013,  4) menyajikan dua aransemen musik untuk empat judul lagu dalam satu video (gas mulia, alkali, halogen, dan alkali tanah) yang kemudian ditutup dengan kuis, dan 5) setiap lagu menyajikan submateri kelimpahan, sifat fisika dan kimia, serta manfaat unsur, 6) menggunakan gaya bahasa yang sesuai dan kalimat pendukung pada video, dan 7) praktis. Setelah dinyatakan valid oleh ahli materi dan ahli media, media dinilai kualitasnya oleh tiga guru kimia SMA/MA dengan perolehan persentase keidealan sebesar 93,33% ataukategori sangat baik. Produk kemudian direspon positif oleh siswa dengan persentase keidealan sebesar 98% atau kategori sangat baik pada keseluruhan aspek.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of concentration and student learning outcomes on colloidal material using a Jigsaw model infused with a tic-tac-toe game. The quasi-experimental study used a pretest and posttest nonequivalent control group design. Students in grade XI of three science classrooms in Prambanan High School were identified as the population in this study, and two of them were selected to be samples (one as a control group and another as an experimental group) using a cluster random sampling technique. While applying the Jigsaw-infused Tic-tac-toe Game, learning concentration was measured with a questionnaire. On the other hand, conceptual understanding of colloidal material was analyzed using multiple-choice tests. All data collected used statistical analysis (Mann-Whitney test for data from the questionnaire and data from the tests). The research result shows the value of sig. Questionnaire 0,002 < 0,05 and sig. Test questions 0,003 < 0,05. Based on the research results, the finding shows that applying a Jigsaw-infused Tic-tac-toe game positively affects students' concentration and conceptual understanding of chemistry.

Abstract

Chemical misconceptions often occur when students need to understand the initial concept. This misconception has an impact on students' ability to understand the material and results in a decrease in students' learning achievement. Students' concept understanding can significantly improve by applying practical learning approaches, models, and strategies. This study aims to determine how applying the QODE learning model based on PjBL improves grade XI students' learning achievement and critical thinking skills on Buffer Solution topic. This type of research is a quasi-experiment with a nonequivalent control group pretest–posttest design. This study's subjects were control class for cooperative learning group investigation learning model and experimental class for PjBL-based QODE learning model at SMA Negeri 1 Sleman. Two intact classes (n = 36 per group) completed a two-tier multiple-choice critical-thinking test and an achievement test before and after a 3-session intervention. The research data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon and the N-gain tests. The Wilcoxon test result shows that both learning models used in experimental and control groups influence student learning achievement and critical thinking with the value of Sig. <0.05. N-Gain test shows that the experimental group experienced an increase of 0.74 for critical thinking skills and 0.78 for student learning achievement which in high category, while the control group experienced an increase of 0.38 for critical thinking skills and 0.73 for student learning achievement which in low and high category. These findings indicate that the QODE learning model based on PjBL contributes to improving students' critical thinking.
