Abstract

Atlet merupakan salah satu pahlawan yang dapat mengharumkan dan  membanggakan nama bangsa. Namun, Atlet Paralimpik (penyandang disabilitas) tidak sekedar membanggakan untuk negara, menjadi atlet paralimpik merupakan kebanggaan tersendiri bagi individu tersebut. Atlet memiliki masa purna atau pensiun setelah masa kejayaan mereka telah berakhir. Kegiatan atau keterampilan perlu dimiliki oleh para atlet dalam meningkatkan ekonomi disamping kegiatan yang dilakukan dalam kejuaraan ataupun saat berada di masa pensiun. Salah satu peluang yang sedang berkembang adalah terkait kebudayaan atau warisan budaya yakni damar kurung. Berdasarkan peluang tersebut, terbentuklah kegiatan pelatihan vokasional dalam membuat damar kurung yang bekerja sama dengan National Paralympic Committee Indonesia (NPCI) Sidoarjo sebagai bentuk pengembangan kemampuan berwirausaha bagi atlet paralimpik di sidoarjo. Kegiatan pelatihan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 1 hingga 2 september 2023 yang dilaksanakan di SLB B Dharma Wanita Sidoarjo. Jumlah peserta dalam pelatihan yakni 10 orang atlet paralimpik Sidoarjo. Metode yang digunakan dalam melaksanakan kegiatan ini yakni metode pelatihan sehingga para atlet dapat membuat damar kurung secara langsung dalam kegiatan pelatihan yang dilaksanakan. Dalam proses pelatihan yang dilaksanakan, para atlet juga dibekali dengan teori Sejarah, proses dan tahapan pembuatan, serta teknik penggambaran dari damar kurung.  Setelah mengikuti kegiatan pelatihan ini, atlet paralimpik sidoarjo memiliki pengetahuan dan pengalaman  dalam  membuat damar kurung sehingga dapat menjadi peluang untuk berwirausaha dalam meningkatkan perekenomian atlet tersebut. Vocational Training In Making Damar Kurung To Develop Entrepreneurial Skills For Paralympic Athletes In Sidoarjo  Athletes are one of the heroes who can make the nation proud. However, Paralympic Athletes (people with disabilities) are not just proud of the country, being a paralympic athlete is a pride for the individual. Athletes have a period of retirement or retirement after their heyday has ended. Activities or skills need to be owned by athletes in improving the economy in addition to activities carried out in championships or while in retirement. One of the growing opportunities is related to culture or cultural heritage, namely damar kurung. Damar kurung is one of the typical Gresik cultures that is being intensively introduced to the younger generation as one of the cultural heritages that needs to be developed and preserved. Based on these opportunities, vocational training activities in making damar kurung were formed in collaboration with the National Paralympic Committee Indonesia (NPCI) Sidoarjo as a form of developing entrepreneurial skills for paralympic athletes in Sidoarjo. Training activities were carried out on September 1 to 2, 2023 which was held at SLB B Dharma Wanita Sidoarjo. The number of participants in the training was 10 Sidoarjo paralympic athletes. After participating in this training activity, Sidoarjo paralympic athletes have knowledge and experience in making damar kurung so that it can be an opportunity for entrepreneurship in improving the athlete's economy.

Abstract

The learning strategies applied by educators are still conventional, including learning vocational skills. This research aims to examine the effect of blended learning on improving the vocational life skills of students with disabilities. This research is pre-experimental. This research design is a group pre-test-post-test design. The research subjects were students with disabilities at the Special High School (SMLAB). Data collection uses performance tests. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon signed-rank test (matched pairs test). The research results show that the vocational life skills of students with disabilities after learning with blended learning have improved more than before learning with blended learning. Learning with blended learning has a better and more positive influence on the vocational life skills of students with disabilities. This research implies that blended learning can improve students' abilities, increasing learning outcomes. In the learning process, students are more active, constructive, communicative, able to follow technological developments, and participate to improve their divergent thinking skills and abilities, in this case, thinking abilities related to vocational skills.
