Abstract

The problem of pediculos capitis is a health problem that is still ignored by many people because it does not cause death, but the disease caused by pediculos capitis is very disturbing and can cause diseases such as: anemia, relapsing fever and others, The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between direct and indirect risk factors to the incidence of Pediculos capitis in students at Al Mubarok Islamic boarding school, Serang, Banten in 2024, the type of research used is quantitative with a cross sectional design, The results of the analysis showed the results of statistical tests between the relationship between the incidence of pediculos capitis and doing activities together having (p value = 0.001 OR= 18.667), sleeping in one bed (p value = 0.003 OR= 4.420), exchanging hair combs (p value = 0.002 OR= 3.51), washing hair (p value = 0.000 OR= 5.275), exchanging veils (p value = 0.001). OR= 5,806). This capeculosis infection can be overcome jointly between health workers, the manager of the Al'Mubarok Islamic boarding school and the students in order to eliminate the problem of capeculosis infection in the Al'Mubarok Islamic boarding school.

Abstract

Smoking can cause socio-economic problems, health issues, and even death. The activity aims to improve the understanding and skills of UKS mentor teachers about the importance of smoke-free areas (KTR) and smoking cessation efforts in schools, as well as follow-up on the implementation of KTR in schools with the Public Health Center. The intervention was carried out through a one-day training with lecture and question-and-answer discussion methods. The target of this activity was UKS mentor teachers at the junior high school level and PTM officers from the Public Health Center as many as 32 participants. The results of the activity: 1. Increased knowledge and awareness of teachers about the negative impacts of smoking on health, as well as creating a smoke-free environment in schools. 2. Changes in attitudes and behavior with a commitment from teachers not to smoke and strengthening the smoke-free policy program. 3. Increased student involvement in peer support programs for anti-smoking campaigns in the school environment. 4. Establishing cooperation between schools, parents, communities, and health agencies to create an environment that supports a healthy lifestyle. 5. The existence of a monitoring and evaluation system for student development in avoiding smoking and the impact of the UBM program in the school environment. 6. Improved health and quality of life by reducing the number of students and teachers who smoke, thereby creating a healthier and more conducive school environment for learning. These impacts are expected to contribute to efforts to improve health and well-being in the school environment and build a healthy living culture among students and staff.

Abstract

Disease vector refers to an organism that transmits pathogenic viruses, bacteria, or parasites from one host to another. The aim of this study is to identify the factors associated with the density level of flies at food stalls in the Saketi Subdistrict, Pandeglang Regency. This type of research is Analytical Survey using a Cross-Sectional Survey approach through observation. The population consists of 32 food stalls in the Saketi Subdistrict. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling with a total sampling method. The research findings are as follows There is no relationship between the availability of clean water and the fly density level at food stalls (p=0.688; RP=0.6; 95%CI 0.531–0.864). There is no relationship between the wastewater drainage system and the fly density level at food stalls (p=0.467; RP=0.5; 95%CI 0.105–2.526). There is a relationship between toilet conditions and the fly density level at food stalls (p=0.050; RP=0.11; 95%CI 0.012–1.032). There is no relationship between dishwashing facilities and the fly density level at food stalls (p=0.128; RP=0.2; 95%CI 0.049–1.222). There is no relationship between the condition of garbage bins and the fly density level at food stalls (p=0.712; RP=1.4; 95%CI 0.321–6.493). There is a relationship between humidity and the fly density level at food stalls (p=0.021; RP=8.5; 95%CI 1.430–51.362). There is no relationship between temperature and the fly density level at food stalls (p=0.636; RP=0.6; 95%CI 0.210–4.421).
