Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to measure the antioxidant activity of Matoa Leaf (Pometia pinnata) extract using the DPPH method. Extraction was carried out using the maceration method using n-hexane. The filtering results showed that the Matoa Leaf extract (Pometia pinnata) contains flavonoid compounds which use concentrated HCl and magnesium powder to produce a color red and phenol compounds use FeCl3 reagent to produce a color green. Comparison of vitamin C with various concentrations of 20 ppm, 30 ppm, 40 ppm, 50 ppm and 60 ppm which has a very strong antioxidant activity with an IC50 value of 30,874 and the antioxidant activity test of the ethanol extract of Matoa Leaf (Pometia pinnata) using the DPPH method (1,1-Diphenyl-2-Picryl Hidrazyl with Concentration variations of 10 ppm, 20 ppm, 30 ppm, 40 ppm and 50 ppm which have very strong antioxidant activity category with IC50 value of 43,895. Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengukur aktivitas antioksidan pada ekstrak Daun Matoa (Pometia pinnata) dengan menggunakan metode DPPH. Ekstraksi dilakukan menggunakan metode maserasi dengan menggunakan pelarut n-heksan. Hasil skrining fitokimia menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak Daun Matoa (Pometia pinnata) mengandung senyawa flavanoid yang dimana menggunakan preaksi HCL pekat dan serbuk magnesium sehingga menghasilkan warna merah dan untuk senyawa fenol menggunakan pereaksi FeCl3 sehingga menghasilkan warna hijau. Pembanding vitamin C dengan variasi kosentrasi 20ppm,30ppm,40ppm,50ppm dan 60ppm yang memiliki aktivitas antioksidan sangat kuat dengan nilai IC50 sebesar 30,874 dan uji aktivitas antioksidan ekstrak etanol Daun Matoa (Pometia pinnata) menggunakan metode DPPH (1,1-Diphenyl-2-Picry lHidrazyl dengan variasi kosentrasi 10 ppm, 20 ppm, 30 ppm, 40 ppm dan 50 ppm yang memiliki aktivitas antioksidan kategori sangat kuat dengan nilai IC50 43,895

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kadar asam asetat dan alkohol pada apel manalagi (Malus Sylvestris Mill) Berdasarkan Variasi Waktu Fermentasi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Gas Chromatography Politeknik Negeri Ujung Pandang. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kromatografi gas-spektrometri massa (GC-MS) dengan sampel apel manalagi yang dicuci bersih dengan air kemudian dikukus selama 15 menit setelah dingin ditambahkan ragi Saccharomyces cerevisiae setelah itu dimasukkan ke dalam toples dan ditutup rapat difermentasikan selama 5, 9, 13 dan hari ke 15. Kemudian hasil cairan yang difermentasi diukur menggunakan alat Kromatografi gas-Spektrometri masssa (GC-MS). Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh kromatografi gas-spektrometri massa dengan perhitungan terjadi peningkatan kadar asam asetat pada hari ke 5, hari ke 9, hari ke 13 secara berturut turut adalah 1,73 %, 2,18 %, 3,12 % dan terjadi penurunan kadar asam asetat pada hari ke 15 yaitu 0,26 % dan terjadi peningkatan kadar alcohol 2,84 %, 4,80 %, 12,73 % dan 99,.74 % yang disebabkan semakin lama terjadi fermentasi sehingga tidak terjadinya over oxidizing atau over oksidasi.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to determine the manufacture and physical quality test of the body lotion preparation of Rambutan skin extract (Nephelium lappaceum L). The research method used was experimental laboratory by conducting experiments to manufacture body lotion preparations and testing the physical quality of the preparation which was carried out at the Pharmaceutical Laboratory of the Yamasi Pharmacy Academy, Makassar. Rambutan Skin (Nephelium lappaceum L) were extracted by maceration for using ethanol as solvent. The made body lotion preparation with a concentration of 0,1% b/b and 1% b/b. Physical quality tests carried out were organoleptic test, homogeneity test, pH test, dispersion test and adhesion test. The results showed that Rambutanskin extract (Nephelium lappaceum L) with a concentration of 0,1% b/b and 1% b/b can be made into a body lotion preparation and the physical quality test requirements of good body lotion preparations.

Abstract

Abstract. Facial toner research has been carried out using samples of starfruit leaves (Avverhoa Bilimbi L.) originating from Pinrang, South Sulawesi. The research was carried out with the aim of knowing the manufacture and quality testing of facial toner preparations from the infusion extract of starfruit leaves (Avverhoa bilimbi L). Simplisia starfruit leaves are extracted using the infusion method. This formula is made with a base (without extract) and concentrations of 10%, 20% and 30%. Physical quality tests carried out on facial toner preparations are organoleptic tests, pH tests, homogeneity tests and irritation tests. Organoleptic Results F0, F1, F2, F3 have liquid form, characteristic odor and are brown in color. The results of the pH test, homogeneity test and irritation test on the 10 panelists met the requirements because there was no irritation, itching or swelling on the skin.

Abstract

. This research has been made with the objective to determine at what concentration the infusa of bilimbi leaves (Averrhoa bilimbi L.) in the form of facial toner preparations can inhibit Propionibacterium acnes bacteria optimally. The method used in this research is a laboratory experimental method by testing the inhibition of toner preparations. Belimbing wuluh leaves were extracted using the infusa method then made facial toner preparations with concentrations of 10%, 20% and 30% and tested with the paperdisk method. From the results of the research on the inhibition of facial toner preparations of infusa extract of bilimbi leaves (Averrhoa bilimbi L.) showed that at concentrations of 10% and 20% could not inhibit the growth of Propionibacterium acnes bacteria. Meanwhile, the 30% concentration can inhibit the growth of Propionibacterium acnes bacteria optimally optimally with the inhibition zone around the paperdisk.

Abstract

Avocado leaves are known to contain various bioactive compounds such as flavonoids, saponins, tannins, alkaloids, and phenols that are beneficial for skin health. This study refers to several literatures indicating that avocado leaf extract (Persea americana Mill.) exhibits significant antioxidant and antibacterial activities, which is why it was used as the active ingredient in the preparation of face mist. The aim of this research was to determine the physical quality of face mist formulations made with avocado leaf extract at concentrations of 0% (F0), 5% (F1), 7.5% (F2), and 10% (F3). The study was conducted experimentally in the laboratory, where the avocado leaf extract was obtained through maceration using 96% ethanol as the solvent. Physical quality tests performed included organoleptic evaluation, homogeneity test, pH measurement, spray distribution test, drying time test, and viscosity test. The results showed that avocado leaf extract (Persea americana Mill.) can be formulated into face mist preparations at concentrations of 5%, 7.5%, and 10%, all of which met the physical quality standards for face mist products.
