Abstract

application of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach supported by Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to improve students' mathematical communication thinking skills in the last decade. Bibliometric analysis will be used to evaluate trends and impact of scientific work on this topic. This research aims to analyze the application of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach supported by Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in improving students' mathematical communication thinking skills in the last decade. Bibliometric analysis is used to evaluate the trends and impact of scientific works related to this topic. Objective: The aim of this research is to evaluate the contribution of the ICT-based RME approach in improving students' mathematical communication thinking skills in the last decade. In addition, this study also aims to evaluate research trends related to this topic in the last decade. It is hoped that the results of this research can provide useful information for the development of mathematics education in the future.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the Mathematics ability of SMAS Manda Elu Students in solving Problems on Trigonometric Comparison Material for Grade X Students. The research method is a survey method. The subjects of the study were 28 grade X SMAS Manda Elu students and 3 students were selected based on the same answer category to be confirmed through interviews. Data collection techniques in this study were documentation and interviews. The research instrument was a test question taken from the trigonometric comparison material and interview guidelines related to problem-solving skills. This data was analyzed using three types, namely Data Reduction, and making conclusions. Students are not familiar with Polya's steps, none of them write from what is known and asked, let alone looking back because they are not used to it. Students also usually write formulas directly and determine the final result or answer to the question. So the results of this study found that not even 50% of students' ability to solve trigonometric comparison problems through Polya's steps.

Abstract

The problem raised is about solving mathematical story problems using Polya's steps. The material presented is a system of linear equations in three variables (SPLTV). The activity was carried out in the form of a seminar for students of class X SMAS Manda Elu which will be held in April 2025. The stages of implementing this activity are preparation, implementation and evaluation. The preparation stage is preparing SPLTV material which is completed using Polya's steps with the team to be delivered to community service partners. At the seminar implementation stage, the speaker provided material to 28 students with the core material, namely SPLTV story problems which are solved using Polya's steps, namely understanding the problem, making a plan, implementing the plan and making conclusions. Furthermore, the evaluation stage of this activity is carried out by giving practice questions to students and students are also asked for their responses regarding the community service activities that have been carried out.
