Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing terhadap aktivitas dan hasil belajar mahasiswa serta interaksi antara model pembelajaran dan aktivitas terhadap hasil belajar IPA di SD. Sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa sebanyak 2 kelas yang dikategorikan dengan kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen dan instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah test pilihan ganda sebanyak 10 soal dan lembar observasi. Untuk uji hipotesis penelitian menggunakan uji independent sample t test varian dengan taraf signifikan ? = 0.05. ???????????????????????? = saraf siginifikan ???? = 5 % = 0,05 karena uji dua pihak (two tails), maka nilai ????/2 = 0,05/2 = 0,025 db = n-2 = 42 – 2 = 40 sehingga ???????????????????????? = ????(0,025;40) = 2,021. Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini terdiri dari (1) untuk mengetahui kevalidan produk dalam pengembangan media teka teki silang (TTS) interaktif berbasis wordwall mata pelajaran IPAS materi wujud zat dan perubahannya kelas V SD  (2) Untuk mengetahui keefektifan pengembangan produk dalam pengembangan media teka teki silang (TTS) interaktif berbasis wordwall mata pelajaran IPAS materi wujud zat dan perubahannya kelas V SD. Jenis penelitian ini adalah dengan Research and Development (R&D) model ADDIE. Teknik pengumpulan data digunakan dengan angket. Setelah melakukan analisis data terhadap hasil penelitian maka diperoleh hasil validasi oleh dosen validator tentang pengembangan video pembelajaran IPA berbasis Animaker dari validator ahli media yaitu 82,5%, dengan kategori Sangat Valid, dari validasi dosen ahli materi yaitu, 85 %, dengan kategori Sangat Valid. Sedangkan analisis data terhadap keefektifan oleh guru kelas IV SD dan didapat hasil sebesar 94,66% yang dengan kategori Sangat Efektif.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of using PhET Interactive Simulations as a virtual learning medium on students’ science learning outcomes in senior high school. A quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design was employed. The sample consisted of two randomly selected Grade XI classes, one assigned as the experimental group (using PhET) and the other as the control group (using conventional instruction). The research instrument was an essay test comprising 10 items, which had been validated and tested for reliability (KR-20 = 0.78). Data were analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk test for normality, Levene’s test for homogeneity, paired sample t-test, and independent sample t-test. The results showed a significant improvement in science learning outcomes for the experimental group, with an average pretest score of 28.00 increasing to 57.41 in the posttest. The paired t-test revealed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), and the normalized gain score was 0.40, indicating a moderate level of effectiveness. These findings suggest that the PhET-based virtual learning media effectively enhances students' conceptual understanding in science, supporting active, constructivist learning principles in line with the Indonesian "Merdeka Belajar" policy.

Abstract

Household waste is one of the major contributors to environmental problems in densely populated areas, including Kenangan Village in Percut Sei Tuan District. Limited waste management systems have led to the accumulation of organic waste, environmental pollution, and declining public health. At the same time, the rising cost of commercial animal feed has become an economic burden for low-income families. This community service program aims to provide an integrated solution through training on Black Soldier Fly (BSF) larvae cultivation to convert organic waste into animal feed and organic fertilizer. The implementation methods included lectures, discussions, demonstrations, hands-on practice, and field mentoring. The results indicate an improvement in the community’s understanding of organic waste processing, significant reduction of organic waste volume, and the production of maggot culture as livestock feed and organic fertilizer. In addition, participants were motivated to initiate small businesses based on maggot production and its residue. This program has proven to be effective as a circular economy solution that integrates waste management, household economic improvement, and community empowerment. The activity is recommended for broader and continuous implementation.

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance elementary school teachers’ competence in utilizing PhET Interactive Simulations as a virtual laboratory tool in science learning, particularly on the topic of “Changes in the States of Matter.” The program employed a workshop-based training model combined with two weeks of guided mentoring to ensure effective classroom implementation. The activities included technical training on operating PhET simulations, pedagogical training on designing inquiry-based lesson plans (RPP) and student worksheets (LKPD), independent practice sessions, and evaluation through pretest–posttest assessments and classroom observations. The results indicate a significant improvement in teachers’ technical and pedagogical skills, demonstrated by their ability to operate simulations independently, develop inquiry-oriented LKPD aligned with PhET features, and integrate simulations into structured inquiry learning steps. Classroom implementation further showed that PhET-based LKPD effectively increased students’ engagement, motivation, and conceptual understanding. In addition, post-training mentoring supported teachers in overcoming technical challenges and promoted sustainability of virtual laboratory practices at the school level. Overall, the program successfully strengthened teachers’ instructional capacity and supported more active, exploratory, and inquiry-based science learning aligned with the principles of the Merdeka Curriculum.
