Abstract

The research examines the problem of the relatively low level of learning interest of grade 6 students, especially in the context of learning mathematics, especially multiplication and division. This research aims to develop TALIGITAR (Smart Mathematics Multiplication and Division Tables) to increase students' interest in mathematics. This type of research is Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE development method. The research subjects are material experts and learning media experts. The test subjects were grade 6 students. The methods used to collect data were observation, interviews and questionnaires. The data collection instrument is a questionnaire. The techniques used to analyze data are qualitative descriptive analysis and quantitative descriptive analysis. The research results, namely the assessment from material experts, reached a percentage of 76% with suitable criteria. Media experts achieved a percentage of 80% with good criteria. The trial results on grade 6 students showed a percentage of 78% with good criteria. It was concluded that overall, "TALIGITAR Learning Media" was considered suitable for use in mathematics learning in grade 6. The results of the data analysis also showed an increase in students' interest in mathematics after using this media. This research can contribute to increasing students' interest in mathematics through innovative and interactive media.

Abstract

The problem currently occurring is that there are still many students who consider mathematics to be a complicated science because mathematics is abstract. This has an impact on student interest in learning and low learning outcomes. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the effect of using learning in the form of smart cards in increasing students' understanding of integer operations. This type of research is quantitative research using quasi-experimental methods. The research design was a pre-experimental experimental design with a one-group pretest post-test design. The research subjects were junior high school students with 21 students. The methods used to collect data are observation and tests. The instrument used to analyze data is a test question sheet. The technique used to analyze data is inferential statistics. The data analysis technique in this research uses the t-test and hypothesis testing. This research found that the average student score increased after implementing smart card media in the learning process. In contrast, at the pretest, students only got an average score of 50.24, and after implementing smart card media, the average student score on the post-test was 72.62. This research also found a significant influence between the use of smart card media and students' understanding of integer operations. It was concluded that smart card media can improve junior high school students' understanding of integer operations.

Abstract

Media use in the learning process helps teaching and learning activities. Using media in the learning process makes it easier for students to understand the learning provided. However, if they do not utilize media in the learning process, students will become less active in learning activities because the material presented is less attractive. This research aims to analyze the effect of using the Pop-Up Book of Geometry learning media on class students' understanding of building space. A quantitative approach with quasi-experimental methods was used in this research. The population was all class IV ICC Pahang students, totaling 18. The data analysis technique uses the related sample t-test to test the hypothesis. The analysis of learning completeness showed an average pretest score of 43.61 and a posttest of 77.78. This research showed that based on the hypothesis test results, it was found that Pop Up Book learning media influenced the learning outcomes of class IV students. It was concluded that Pop Up Book learning media can improve the learning outcomes of fourth-grade elementary school students.
