Abstract

Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk membekali para guru tentang computational thinking untuk pembelajaran di sekolah dasar. Kegiatan pelatihan dilaksanakan pada Kamis, 13 Agustus 2020 bertempat di SDN Penggungan Kota Malang Jawa Timur. Metode pelatihan menggunakan perpaduan antara tatap muka dan online. Untuk mengoptimalkan pencapaian materi, para peserta diberikan bahan ajar pelatihan berupa handout materi, kuis online dan tanya jawab. Pengukuran ketercapaian tujuan pelatihan dilakukan dengan menggunakan pre test dan post test, kuisioner pelatihan dan observasi selama kegiatan. Secara umum respon peserta kategori baik, peserta mengaku materi Computational thinking merupakan istilah yang baru mereka dapatkan. Para peserta mengaku tertarik untuk mengimplementasikan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil pengukuran pre test dan pos test terjadi peningkatan cukup signifikan, skor pre test sebesar 35,33 sedangkan skor post test sebesar 58,33. Dapat disimpulkan para peserta dapat memahami materi yang pelatihan dan tertarik untuk mengimplementasikannya dalam pembelajaran di kelas

Abstract

Beginning counting ability is an important basic ability for students to be able to answer and understand further mathematical problems, including the introduction of numbers and basic mathematical concepts. The problem discussed here is an attempt to change the conventional teaching method (lecture) at the beginning counting learning stage towards a learning approach that can better facilitate children's learning needs and create meaningful learning. This study aims to analyze the application of the Sorogan method assisted by graded student worksheets (LKS) in stimulating student’s counting skills in Calistung class. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with a case study approach. This research was conducted involving Calistung B class students consisting of 5 children as research subjects. The research techniques used were observation, interview, and documentation. The results showed that the Sorogan method assisted by graded worksheets was able to make a positive contribution in stimulating student’s beginning counting skills. Components such as initial apperception, practice problems, discussion, and reflection applied in Sorogan learning activities play an important role in supporting the formation of deep understanding. The student-centered learning process of the Sorogan method, which prioritizes a focus on exploring aspects of individuality, supported by the use of graded worksheets, gradually helps students understand numeracy concepts, thus becoming the foundation for the continuous development of numeracy skills. This method can be an alternative for educators to improve the quality of learning early counting.

Abstract

The problem currently occurring is that there are still many students who consider mathematics to be a complicated science because mathematics is abstract. This has an impact on student interest in learning and low learning outcomes. Therefore, this research aims to analyze the effect of using learning in the form of smart cards in increasing students' understanding of integer operations. This type of research is quantitative research using quasi-experimental methods. The research design was a pre-experimental experimental design with a one-group pretest post-test design. The research subjects were junior high school students with 21 students. The methods used to collect data are observation and tests. The instrument used to analyze data is a test question sheet. The technique used to analyze data is inferential statistics. The data analysis technique in this research uses the t-test and hypothesis testing. This research found that the average student score increased after implementing smart card media in the learning process. In contrast, at the pretest, students only got an average score of 50.24, and after implementing smart card media, the average student score on the post-test was 72.62. This research also found a significant influence between the use of smart card media and students' understanding of integer operations. It was concluded that smart card media can improve junior high school students' understanding of integer operations.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji penerapan teori belajar behavioristik dalam pembelajaran matematika, khususnya pada materi bangun ruang di SD NEGERI 2 GROGOL. Teori ini, yang dikembangkan oleh J.B. Watson, berfokus pada hubungan stimulus dan respons dalam proses belajar. Pembelajaran matematika yang efektif dapat dicapai melalui penerapan prinsip behavioristik dengan memberikan penguatan positif bagi siswa yang aktif dan berprestasi, serta memberikan umpan balik yang konstruktif kepada siswa yang kesulitan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi deskriptif, yang mengumpulkan data melalui observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa respons siswa dalam pembelajaran bangun ruang beragam, mulai dari antusias, pasif, hingga kebingungan dalam memahami konsep-konsep matematika. Penerapan stimulus seperti penggunaan alat peraga, media visual, dan penguatan positif, seperti penghargaan dan umpan balik, terbukti meningkatkan motivasi dan keterlibatan siswa. Namun, terdapat tantangan dalam penerapan teori ini, seperti ketergantungan pada penguatan eksternal dan kurangnya pemahaman konseptual siswa. Meskipun demikian, penerapan teori behavioristik tetap relevan dalam konteks pendidikan di Indonesia, terutama untuk membantu siswa memahami materi bangun ruang melalui pengalaman langsung dan pengulangan yang disertai dengan penguatan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the validity of the design of the development of learning video media with an open-ended approach to improve the learning outcomes of 6th-grade elementary school students in Mlonggo District. This study applies the research and development method, which is commonly known as R&D (Research and Development). Products development uses the ADDIE model which is structured into five stages including (1) analysis, (2) design, (3) development, implementation, and (5) evaluation. Data collection through filling out the validity questionnaire. This data source includes participation from data validators with an analysis process that includes the accumulation of overall scores. Data analysis uses descriptive qualitative tests. The results of this development research are learning video media with an open-ended approach which is stated to be very feasible by media experts with an average of 90%, and material experts with 92%. So, it can be concluded that learning video media with an open-ended approach is valid and feasible to be used to improve student learning outcomes

Abstract

Proses pembelajara langsung dengan metode ceramah dapat mengakibatkan rendahnya kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Model pembelajarn Two Stay-Two Stray merupakan model pembelajaran dengan metode 2 bertamu (menjelaskan) dan 2 tinggal (menerima penjelasan). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis pencapaian kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang belajar melalui model pembelajaran  Two Stay – Two Stray berbantuan media Mathcircle. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Quasi Experimental, dengan rancangan penelitian ini menggunakan The Nonequivalent Pretest–Posttest Control Grup Design. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara pemberian tes pada siswa. Analisis data awal menggunakan uji normalitas, dan uji homogenitas data. Sedangkan analisis data akhir menggunakan uji independent sample t-test. Dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Two Stay-Two Stray berbantuan media Mathcircle ternyata dapat memberikan pengaruh terhadap rata–rata pencapaian kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Apabila dilihat dari hasil menujukkan jika rata rata peroleh dari kelas eksperimen setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran Two Stay-Two Stray lebih besar daripada kelas kontrol yang menggunakan model pembelajaran langsung.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan peningkatan aktvitas kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa menggunakan model CIRC pada tema pengalaman di sekolah dasar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan rancanagan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Tahapan penelitian meliputi (1) perencanaan; (2) pelaksanaan tindakan; (3) tindakan penelitian; dan (4) refleksi. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan dua siklus. Sampel penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas III SD 1 Soco. Hasil penelitian membuktikan bahwa penggunaan model CIRC dalam meningkatkan aktivitas kemampuan membaca pemahaman tentang isi bacaan pada siklus I sebesar 80,42% menjadi 83,61% pada siklus II dalam kategori baik. Dari hasil penemuan menyimpulkan bahwa aktivitas kemampuan membaca pemahaman menggunakan model CIRC mengalami peningkatan dan efektif digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran siswa.
