Abstract

Mathematics is an important subject in basic education, including in junior high schools, which plays a role in developing students' logical, critical, systematic, and creative thinking skills. The material on spatial figures related to the concept of three-dimensional space is often a challenge because it requires visualization and in-depth understanding. This study aims to analyze the mathematical creative thinking skills of junior high school students on spatial figures and the factors that influence them. The method used is qualitative with a literature study approach. The results of the study show that students' creative thinking skills are still low, caused by monotonous learning and inadequate methods. Several creative strategies for teaching spatial figures, such as the use of physical models, technology and educational games, are proposed to improve students' mathematical creative thinking skills. These findings are expected to help mathematics teachers develop more effective learning strategies.

Abstract

Literacy is the key to unlocking students' knowledge and insight. Good literacy skills in students will enable students to develop themselves optimally so that something good is achieved too. To achieve good literacy skills, literacy learning is the main thing that must be carried out well, especially at the elementary level. The purpose of this research is to describe literacy learning in elementary schools. This research was conducted to find out how literacy programs were implemented in several elementary schools in Kampar and Pekanbaru City. The elementary schools that were used as research objects were SDN 21 Pekanbaru, MIN 3 Pekanbaru, and SDN 017 Pandau Jaya which covered several literacy levels such as literacy, scientific literacy, numeracy, financial literacy, digital literacy, and cultural-citizenship literacy. This article is written using a method based on observation results by conducting interviews and direct observation of literacy activities carried out in elementary schools. The results of this study are useful for adding insight into the successful implementation of the literacy program, the challenges faced and suggestions for good implementation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL) terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPAS kelas V di SDN 006 Koto Cengar, Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi. Permasalahan pembelajaran terjadi karena guru masih dominan menggunakan metode konvensional yang membuat siswa pasif dan kurang memahami materi. Model PjBL dinilai mampu mengatasi hal tersebut karena melibatkan siswa secara aktif dalam kegiatan proyek yang relevan dengan kehidupan nyata. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain One-Group Pretest-Posttest. Sampel berjumlah 19 siswa yang diambil menggunakan teknik total sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes pilihan ganda yang telah divalidasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar setelah diterapkannya model PjBL. Berdasarkan hasil uji paired sample, diperoleh nilai signifikansi (Sig. 2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05, yang berarti terdapat pengaruh signifikan antara penerapan model PjBL terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Dengan demikian, model Project Based Learning terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar IPAS siswa kelas V.
