Abstract

Stunting is a recognized growth and development disorder in children that has long-term impacts such as mental retardation, low learning ability, and the risk of chronic disease. According to the World Bank (2016), stunting can cause long-term economic losses of 2-3% (potential losses of IDR 260 trillion - IDR 390 trillion per year). West Java is one of the most populous provinces in Indonesia (49.5 million people in 2023), with a high stunting rate of 24% (2021), above the national average. This study aims to examine the prevalence of stunting and the Human Development Index in regencies and cities in West Java Province in 2021 descriptively using a geographic information system (GIS) application.

Abstract

Background: Non-communicable disease (NCD) has been the leading cause of death in Indonesia. To prevent that, the government of the Republic of Indonesia made some policies that resulted in programs such as Pandu PTM. Pandu PTM is an approach for early detection and monitoring of NCD risk factors which is integrated and done through Posbindu PTMAims: This research aims to know the relationship between the implementation of Pandu PTM with the incident numbers of diabetes melitus in IndonesiaSubjects and Method: This research was done through March—April 2023. This research was done through observational analytic design with an ecological study approach. The samples used were the 34 provinces of Indonesia. The data being used was secondary data which was obtained from Riset Kesehatan Dasar (Riskesdas) 2018 and Health Profile Year 2018. The independent variable was the achievement of Pandu PTM in percent and the dependent variable was the diabetes melitus prevalence. The data was then analyzed using simple linear regressionResults: The result shows that there was no relationship between Pandu PTM implementation with diabetes melitus incident number in Indonesia (p-value= 0,067)Conclusion: The implementation of Pandu PTM was not supported by expert health workers and there was still little awareness among the society. It was suggested to increase the expertise of health workers and increase people’s awareness of the importance of early detection of NCD risk factors.

Abstract

Menghadapi tantangan signifikan dalam pelaporan tuberkulosis (TB), yang diperburuk oleh sistem informasi kesehatan (HIS) yang terfragmentasi dan keterbatasan interoperabilitas dengan Sistem Informasi Tuberkulosis Nasional (SITB). Untuk mengatasi kesenjangan ini, penelitian ini mengembangkan middleware untuk pertukaran data yang terintegrasi antara HIS Rumah Sakit Swasta X dan SITB, bekerja sama dengan program USAID TB Private Sector (TBPS). Inisiatif ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efisiensi pelaporan kasus TB di kalangan penyedia layanan kesehatan swasta dengan mendorong integrasi data dan kemitraan publik-swasta. Middleware ini dikembangkan menggunakan System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) dengan pendekatan rapid prototyping, yang mengotomatisasi proses ekstraksi, pemetaan, dan transmisi data kasus TB. Hal ini secara signifikan mengurangi kesalahan manual sekaligus meningkatkan kualitas dan kegunaan data. Kolaborasi dengan para pemangku kepentingan—termasuk penyedia layanan kesehatan, Kementerian Kesehatan, dan tim USAID TBPS—berperan penting dalam mengidentifikasi kebutuhan pengguna dan memastikan prototipe iteratif sesuai dengan kebutuhan dunia nyata. Middleware ini kemudian diuji di Rumah Sakit Swasta X dengan fokus pada efektivitasnya dalam menyederhanakan notifikasi TB. Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan substansial dalam pelaporan kasus TB, yang mengatasi masalah underreporting yang umum terjadi di fasilitas kesehatan swasta. Dengan mengotomatisasi proses pertukaran data, middleware ini menjembatani kesenjangan kritis antara HIS dan SITB, meningkatkan akurasi dan efisiensi. Selain itu, desain modularnya mendukung skalabilitas untuk implementasi di jaringan rumah sakit lainnya. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa middleware merupakan solusi penting untuk mengatasi tantangan interoperabilitas dalam sistem informasi kesehatan, memperkuat pengawasan dan pengendalian TB. Temuan ini menyoroti potensi kolaborasi publik-swasta dan teknologi inovatif dalam meningkatkan hasil kesehatan masyarakat, serta menyediakan model yang dapat diterapkan di berbagai pengaturan layanan kesehatan lainnya.
