Abstract

Background of the study: X is a social media used mainly by the public as a source of information and can fulfill its users' information needs, including the @literarybase account, which discusses literature and books. Through this, it is expected to increase information literacy skills through information search activities to meet the information needs of its users. Purpose: This study aims to determine the role of auto-base @literarybase in meeting the information literacy needs of its followers. Method: The method used is quantitative with survey techniques. Data was collected online through the distribution of Google form questionnaires to followers of the @literarybase account with a Likert scale as a measurement, and analysis was carried out descriptively. Findings: The @literarybase account has played a role in meeting the information needs and training the information literacy skills of its followers. In content gratification, the @literarybase account fulfills the needs of information sharing and information seeking. In the gratification process, the @literarybase account fulfills entertainment, pass time, escape, habit, and self-expression needs. In social gratification, the @literarybase account fulfills the information needs through social interaction. Finally, regarding technology gratification, the @literarybase account fulfills information needs in the form of relative advantage. Conclusion: The @literarybase account has played a role in meeting information needs and training information literacy skills for its account followers. However, several aspects still need to be fully met, such as the need for self-document in content gratification, the need for campaigns in process gratification, the need for status seeking in social gratification, and the need for social compliance in technology gratification.

Abstract

School libraries need to carry out their operational activities following applicable standards, one of which is the Kepala Perpustakaan Nasional RI No. 12 Tahun 2017 tentang Standar Nasional Perpustakaan (SNP) Sekolah Menengah Atas/Madrasah Aliyah (SMA/MA). That regulation concerning National Library Standards for Senior High Schools/Islamic Senior High Schools (SMA/MA). This study aims to determine whether the SMAN 2 Cimahi Library has implemented the service standards in accordance with the National Library Standard. This study is qualitative, using observation and interview techniques, and data analysis is carried out descriptively. The results obtained are that the SMAN 2 Cimahi Library has implemented SNP SMA/MA from the service aspect, namely types of services, compulsory reading programs, library education programs, information literacy programs, library promotions, reports, cooperation, and several programs have been integrated with the curriculum. Unfortunately, in terms of service hours, the SMAN 2 Cimahi library has not met the service hours in accordance with the SNP, which is 8 hours per working day. From these results, the SMAN 2 Cimahi Library can consider opening service activities for more than 8 hours per working day in order to optimize library services to all SMAN 2 Cimahi library users.   Abstrak Perpustakaan sekolah perlu menjalankan kegiatan operasionalnya sesuai dengan standar yang berlaku, salah satunya Peraturan Kepala Perpustakaan Nasional RI No. 12 Tahun 2017 tentang Standar Nasional Perpustakaan (SNP) Sekolah Menengah Atas/Madrasah Aliyah (SMA/MA). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah Perpustakaan SMAN 2 Cimahi telah mengimplementasikan standar layanan dalam SNP SMA/MA. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik observasi dan wawancara,  analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif. Hasil yang didapat adalah Perpustakaan SMAN 2 Cimahi telah mengimplementasikan SNP SMA/MA dari aspek pelayanan, yaitu jenis pelayanan, program wajib baca, program pendidikan pemustaka, program literasi informasi, promosi perpustakaan, laporan, kerja sama, serta beberapa program telah terintegrasi dengan kurikulum. Sayangnya, dari segi jam pelayanan, perpustakaan SMAN 2 Cimahi belum memenuhi jam layanan yang sesuai dengan SNP, yaitu 8 jam per hari kerja. Dari hasil tersebut, Perpustakaan SMAN 2 Cimahi dapat mempertimbangkan untuk membuka kegiatan pelayanan lebih dari 8 jam per hari kerja guna mengoptimalkan layanan perpustakaan kepada seluruh pemustaka perpustakaan SMAN 2 Cimahi. Abstract

Background: Microfilms are susceptible to damage over time. The lack of guidelines, materials and reference materials on microfilm is also the reason why the use and maintenance of microfilm in libraries is still rare. Many libraries and librarians are not fully aware and prepared to maintain and care for microfilm so that it can be used for a long time.  Purpose: To review the literature on microfilm preservation so that through this research, the extent of scientific development and knowledge that has been produced by experts is known. Method: A systematic literature review with a qualitative approach was used to collect literature relevant to the topic. The formulation of research questions used the population, intervention, comparison, outcome, and context (PICOC) framework and the search strategy used Boolean logic. Literature sources came from Google Scholar, which was then tested for quality. The analysis technique used content analysis by describing the research findings. Result: The majority of the literature reviewed came from India and Nigeria with the highest number of publications in 2023. Traditional microfilm preservation techniques are carried out by providing a special place and controlling environmental conditions. Meanwhile, digital preservation techniques are carried out by digitizing through data migration. The constraints of microfilm preservation that are often encountered are financial limitations. Conclusion: From the results of the systematic review, it was found that storage in a separate room and digitization are often done in libraries to preserve microfilms with limited funds as the main obstacle.Keywords: Library; Library Material; Microfilm; Preservation
