Abstract

Pemikiran C.A. The existence of the Mataram Kingdom in Java cannot be separated from the traditional ceremonies that are hereditary and inherent in the culture of the community, especially the Surakarta Sunanate and Yogyakarta Sultanate. The purpose of the research is a critical review of Van Peursen's philosophy of culture in the magical nuances of Yogyakarta's Labuan ceremony. The thinking of C.A. Van Peursen correlates with the implementation of the Labuhan ceremony, which divides culture into three stages: mystical, ontological, and functional stages. This research uses descriptive analysis, describing the data collected and then analyzing it so that a critical review of Van Peursen's culture through the Labuan ceremony is found. The results of this research are 1) In the mystical stage, the Labuan ceremony is carried out on the agreement that has been bound by Panembahan Senopati and Kanjeng Ratu Kidul and the bond must be continued by Panembahan Senopati's children and grandchildren. 2) The ontological stage of the Labuhan ceremony is carried out as a form of community unification and has a social impact 3) At the functional stage, the Labuan ceremony has a role in the development and development of the tourism sector which has its attraction for domestic and foreign communities. However, based on the stages of cultural development, some stages cannot be found in the Labuhan ceremony. The Labuan ceremony in Dlepih and Gunung Lawu cannot reach the functional stage so in two places it only reaches the mystical and supernatural stages.

Abstract

The serious problem of waste has become a major catalyst in the current global environmental crisis. This challenge has prompted various groups to formulate concrete solutions to deal with the negative impacts of suboptimal waste management. In the digital era, the link between value philosophy and digital content is becoming increasingly important. Digital content, especially those spread through social media, contains values that require in-depth exploration to understand its ethical implications for the transformation of the mindset and behavior of the wider community. This study aims to find and describe the values present in the action and publication of waste management content by Pandawara Group from the perspective of Max Scheler's philosophy of value. The method used is qualitative research with a descriptive analysis approach. The results of this study illustrate a number of values reflected in the action and publication of Pandawara Group's content related to waste management. First, the emergence of happiness value, which is found in the positive impact felt by media users in general when interacting with Pandawara Group's content. Secondly, there is the emergence of vital value, which is reflected in efforts to reawaken awareness of public welfare and health. Third, there is an evocation of spiritual concern for the surrounding environment for social media users by showing the link between the spiritual dimension and environmental preservation. Finally, at the highest stage, the emergence of sacred values, which are reflected in respect for the rights of nature that must be preserved. Pandawara Group has transformed into an entity that not only acts as an agent of change, but also has a significant positive impact in creating values of awareness, wisdom, and prosperity among the community in an effort to preserve the environment.

Abstract

The increasing development of technology has raised concerns among some people regarding its impact on the relationship between humans and nature. This study examines the anti-digitalization attitudes of the Baduy Dalam community as a deliberate effort to maintain harmony between humans and nature. Utilizing a phenomenological approach, this research explores the philosophical foundations of the Baduy Dalam’s resistance to modern technology, focusing on their adherence to traditional ecological practices. The findings of this study indicate that the Baduy Dalam community’s way of life, by rejecting digitalization, offers a unique model for rethinking the role of technology in modern society. This research contributes to a broader philosophical discourse about the relationship between humans, technology, ecology, and indigenous knowledge systems, suggesting that the anti-digitalization practices of the Baduy Dalam serve as a reminder of the importance of maintaining harmony between humans and nature amid rapid technological changes. Keywords: Anti-Digitalization, Human and Nature Harmony, Baduy Dalam Community, Environmental Conservation, Cultural Tradition
