Abstract

Saat ini banyak sekali bencana menimpa dan memakan banyak korban. Korban tidak pernah merupakan suatu pilihan objek, bahkan korban sendiri tidak pernah memilih. Realitas sosial yang menggambarkan kehidupan bersama menuntut hubungan yang baik dalam cara pandang dan interaksi intersubjektivitas. Konsep Gabriel Marcel tentang hakikat diri dan hubungan intersubjektif merupakan konsep yang bisa digunakan untuk menemukan sejauhmana konsep tentang cinta kasih dan harapan dalam setiap umat manusia. Konsep ini diharapkan dapat dihubungkan dengan persoalan empati terhadap persoalan bencana saat ini.                Menurut Marcel, eksistensi manusia tidak dapat diobjektivikasi, namun sebagai wujud konkret diri. Marcel menghargai relasi sebagai wujud dinamika manusia mencapai taraf ‘menjadi’ dan sifat ketergantungan manusia.  Kemudian relasi intersubjektif ditandai dengan kehadiran yang harus dipenuhi dengan cinta kasih, empati, dan kesetiaan, sehingga tercipta empati terhadap sesama, sehingga dalam melihat korban bencana bukan sebagai objek yang dikasihani. Pentingnya harapan bagi korban bencana yang dapat membuat manusia tenang dan tidak takut terhadap kematian, juga menumbuhkan kepercayaan. Keputusasaan diakibatkan oleh hilangnya harapan, kepercayaan, dan cinta kasih. Cinta kasih merupakan jalan tengah bagi mereka yang senantiasa melihat sesuatu secara parsial dan ekstrem. Cinta menghilangkan kebencian, seperti harapan yang menghilangkan ketakutan, keterputusasaan bagi korban bencana.Kata kunci: subjek-objek, relasi, bencana, cinta kasih, empati.

Abstract

AbstractMany people call the Baduy is an ethnic group of Sundaneseliving in a relatively isolated area. In fact the Baduy peopleintentionally detach themselves from modernity. They overcome life problems by holding their custom order firmly. They maintain their nature, coexist harmoniously, and obey their tradition. They believe that if they do not obey it, surely, there will be an accident or difficulties in their life.The Baduy society consists of Inner Baduy and Outer Baduy.They place forward the harmonious relationship between men and women (husband and wife) with work sharing. The Baduy marriage also recognizes monogamy. The marriage partner is determined by father side, and the good marriage is in consanguinity. Divorce, according to the Inner Baduy, is only permitted by reason of death, whereas the Outer Baduy enable the divorce without reason of death. The Baduy women exist by making woven clothes. It shows that woman can work out of domestic affairs.Keyword: Baduy, Baduy woman, local wisdom, gender relation,harmony, monogamy.

Abstract

In this time, there are a lot of accidents, like flood, landslide, fire, dryness, storm, tsunami, earthquake, and mount eruption. A lot of victims in these disasters. The victim have never represented an object choice, even victim have never chosen. Social reality describing to live together that demand a good social relationship and interaction of intersubjectivity. The Gabriel Marcel’s concept is the most relevant concept. The problems are what is the nature of “I” according to Marcel? How about the concept of relation of intersubjectivity? What is the concept of Love and Hope? What relevancy the Gabriel Marcel’s concept with human and emphaty with the victim of disaster? The Result of research are: According to Marcel’s view of existence of human being cannot be objectivied. The existence is my real experience as a subject in the world. In other word, existence represents the complexity of all factors that signs my live. Because of Marcel’concept gave appreciation for relation, he sure that man is the dynamic creature, always be achieve the level of to be. This level require to be confessed because to become to be myself, somebody will depend on its relationship. Intersubjective relationship according to Marcel marked with attendance. The mystery of human being is on this relationship. Attendance represents the meeting I – Thou, not only be comprehended simply as a meeting someone in the space. Attendance realized with the love, and faithfulness. These unsure are the important elements in understand and feel disaster victim, not as an object felt pity. Expectation will penetrate the certainty, which can make the calm human being and not afraid to death, also for the disaster. Expectation will appear the belief. Despair becaused of losing the expectation, belief, and love. These elements will realize the awareness to the eternity love, inclusive of God. Love represents the philosophic key on Marcel’concept which find the balance solution. Love gives the meaning of intersubjective relationship. With Love, the object will never died. Love gives the eternity meaning, to remove the hate each other, like expectation when removing the fear, despair. The contrary, expectation gives someone the confidence, certainty to uncertainty. Love and expectation confirm the self- faithfulness to the others inclusive of God.

Abstract

Being one of the institution of culture, science can be understood as human activities to understand themselves and their enviroment. While it enables human to adapt to the world, it also causes human to be greddy for the world. Unable to recognize the limit of human power, science, and techonology is frequently in opposition to religion. Human cloning is a case in point, as this is taken the rights of God away from creating the creature. Human cloning, it will be argued, would be a case ofhuman lost in scientific orientation to be human.

Abstract

This research is an observation about female authonomy as a human being in determining her role in society. The assumption that emphase on women emansipation effort in history is always in change and development. In those days when polygamy was publicly practice, the main probelm is directed to equality of right in the context of women's role as wife and or mother, among the other wives. Nowadays, the probelm around the intergration of women's full-role as human resource in development activities. In global context, being influenced by world development, the women is inclained to equalize right and duty in the whole field of life, scarcely diffrentianting the natural reality. The autonomy is thought to be a motivation which the human activities decision base on.The research is an actual probelmatic research. The methods of philosophical analysis in the research are formulated as follows: interpretation, internal coherency, historical coherency, holistic, heuristic, and description.This research finds that the women do not yet use optimally their autonomy for they still under pressure in their decision making and it is not an act-decision that based on the individual consciousness.

Abstract

Suicide in philosophical anthropology is an existential fact of human behavior that individually she has autonomy of her judgment, it has not connection to good and bad ethically and right and wrong religiously. Suicide shows that there are no emphatically attitude of community to human life problems, it views just as an individual problem, so someone will be hopeless if she unable to solve her problems even if it an easy one. Suicide is an alternative and solution for an individual who has no support and emphatically attitude of others (community). Suicide done by a mother and her child is a reflection of complex problems of human life in community that unable to solve by her alone self. A mother has autonomy and responsibility for her child life, so when she judge to ending her life/misery, she has right of her child. The phenomena of suicide of a mother and her child necessarily understood as a “love for child” uniquely.

Abstract

This research showed that First, ideally every man should act in a dual functions as individual beings as well as a social being. These dual functions of the real foundation for the building harmony in the life of a society. If lameness, especially the tendency of individuals includes positions as individual beings then building a life together can be as depicted in homo homini lupus, but building a harmonious society should be supported by common life, need, and give each other. Secondly, crimes in Indonesia are the fact how life in Indonesia has been overshadowed by very prominent self-interests. Personal interests which dominated by economic factors become a major influence in the crime trend. Indonesian human tendency their societies emphasize some aspects, but it turns out it's a proven fact that trend has begun to fade, although not all Indonesian people commit crimes. At least, homo economicus could be a tool to test the reality of Indonesian life. Third, Homo economicus is fully understood in an act that contradicts the notion homos socius. Homo economicus if not controlled will lead humanity in a situation of "war" as a Homo Homini Lupus.

Abstract

The background of this article is the local wisdom of people of Palembang city, in the form of a tradition called Ziarah Kubro (The Great Pilgrimage) which actually contains philosophical values but in practice it is still understood as merely a ritual. This article aims to analyze the Ziarah Kubro tradition employing perspective of Max Scheler’s hierarchy of values. This article provides indepth analysis regarding the values contained in the tradition of Ziarah Kubro using descriptive analytics as a form of literature review. Results of the study suggest that Ziarah Kubro tradition contains philosophical values, namely the value of pleasure, vitality, spirituality, and religius. Based on Max Scheler hierarchical perspective, religius values are the highest values upheld by the people of Palembang City. These values can be sensed through preferences influenced by the feelings of love and hate. This preference has implications towards the attitudes of the Palembang people who always carry out and preserve this tradition to the next generation in the hope of attaining blessings and increasing religious life in society.
