Abstract

Produk – produk handsanitizer yang marak beredar dipasaran umumnya mengandung alkohol yang menurut penelitian dinyatakan tidak efektif membunuh bakteri pathogen setelah berungkali pakai dan dapat memicu gangguan kesehatan pada kulit. Oleh sebab itu, bahan alami dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai alternatif antiseptik khususnya yang berbahan dasar herbal. Kegiatan edukasi dan pembuatan handsanitizer berbahan alami (herbal) perlu disosialisasikan di masyarakat. Kegiatan Pengabdian dan Kemitraan Masyarakat ini dilakukan di Kelompok Umat Basis (KUB) St. Theresia dari Calcuta, Liliba. Peserta memberikan apresiasi terhadap proses praktik pembuatan handsanitizer ini, karena banyak pengetahuan baru yang didapatkan dan peserta semakin termotivasi untuk membuat sendiri untuk anggota keluarganya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis struktur dan kinerja pemasaran Jambu Mete di Desa Sillu, Kecamatan Fatuleu, Kabupaten Kupang. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling, dan dilanjutkan dengan snowball sampling sebanyak 47 responden petani Jambu Mete dan responden pedagang sebanyak 6 responden. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif dan deskriptif kuantitatif. Data produksi Jambu Mete diolah dengan menggunakan rumus CR4 untuk mengetahui struktur pasar dan analisis kinerja pemasaran, dapat dilihat dengan menghitung margin pemasaran, farmer share, share biaya dan keuntungan lembaga pemasaran. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan struktur pasar yang terbentuk dalam pemasaran Jambu mete gelondongan di Desa Sillu adalah oligopoli sedang yaitu struktur pasar yang didominasi oleh sedikit perusahaan yang saling bersaing. Kekuatan yang dimiliki masing-masing perusahaan cukup besar dalam mempengaruhi harga pasar. Margin pemasaran atau selisih harga mengikuti dua saluran adalah: saluran pemasaran I yaitu sebesar Rp. 5.000/Kg dan saluran pemasaran II sebesar Rp.100.000/Kg. Farmer’s Share yang diterima petani pada saluran pemasaran I sebesar 75% dan petani pada saluran pemasaran II sebesar 6% (gelondongan) dan 50% (kacip). Keuntungan petani terbesar berada pada saluran pemasaran II yaitu sebesar Rp.183.952 /kg dan yang terendah berada pada saluran pemasaran I yaitu sebesar Rp.1.863/kg.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine land cover, land cover change and forest cover density in the Tenihawu river basin of Sabu Raijua Regency from 1998, 2008 and 2018. To find out what forest land cover is, you can use the Object method (OBIS / Object Based Image Segmentation)) and NDVI (Nomal Different Vegetation Index) to determine the density of forest land cover and tested using an error matrix. The data collected is primary data and secondary data. Primary data, namely Landsat-5 image material in 1999 and 2009, Landsat-8 image material in 2018 can be accessed via USG Glovis and secondary data from various library sources, documentation and from the publication of relevant agencies The results showed that the forest cover in the Tenihawu river basin amounted to 1101.02 Ha (36%) in 1.999, 862.77 Ha (28%) in 2009 and 683.78 Ha (22%) in 2018. Changes in forest cover in the Tenihawu basin will decrease from 1999 to 2009 by 238.25 Ha and from 2009 to 2018 by 178.99 Ha. The use of land in each village in the Tenihawu watershed are influenced by physiographic conditions and landforms, as it has a terrain structure and can have an impact on land use. False land use patterns can lead to critical land. The rapid development has led to changes in land use patterns, which space is increasingly dominated and nature spaces are being forced to change functions such as the conversion of land into paddy fields, plantations and settlements. The intrusion into the forest also leads to the loss of waste and humus, which can absorb rainwater. These events have a large scale that the behavior of the river are disturbed, while in the rainy season, the flow of the river significantly increases and the dry season, the flow of water is very low. In addition, the population is also a factor in changing land cover from a socio-economic point of view, namely the level of income of people around the forest, the needs and dependence of the population on forest products.

Abstract

Deer is a source of animal wealth in Indonesia, consisting of four endemic species, namely: Muntjak Deer (Muntiacus muntjak), Bawean Deer (Axis kuhlii), Sambar Deer (Cervus unicolor), and Timor Deer (Russa timorensis). Timor deer is a species of tropical deeroriginating from Java, often found in various Indonesian archipelago both in its natural habitat and in captivity, management of Timor deer under the Directorate General of Forestry, Nature Conservation and the Ministry of Forestry, its existence is feared to be extinct by the threat of poaching and habitat destruction (Lelono, 2003). The Timor deer (deer timorensis) is one of the most protected wildlife in Indonesia, based on the regulation of the Minister of Environment and Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia number P.106 in 2018 on species of plants and animals Protected, from all forms of hunting, arrest and possession. Field observations are used for two periods, the first period is 06.00 - 10.00 and the second period is 15.00 - 18.00 which is used in data collection for the home range is the Minimum Convex Polygon method and the most commonly used is core utilization or regional data collection, the kernel utilization distribution method. The results showed that the area of deer Timor was scattered in the region, with the area of Timor deer exploration in TWA Menipo Island area of 3425 km2 or 306 hectares (Ha) (12.49% of the total area of TWA Menipo Island) and the core area of 1776 km2 or 170 hectares (Ha) (6.94% of the total area of TWA Menipo Island).

Abstract

Rusa merupakan salah satu kekayaan satwa yang ada di Indonesia. Status Rusa di Indonesia hingga saat ini masih merupakan satwa yang dilindungi oleh undang-undang peraturan di Indonesia, berdasarkan Peraturan Menteri Lingkungan Hidup dan Kehutanan Nomor P.106/ MENLHK/ SETJEN/KUM.1/12/2018 tentang jenis tumbuhan dan satwa yang dilindungi. Rusa timor memiliki persebaran populasi relatif luas di Kepulauan Indonesia tetapi populasi rusa di alam terus mengalami penurunan, akibat dari hilangnya habitat, degradasi habitat, dan perburuan. Dalam upaya mempertahankan dan meningkatkan populasi rusa timor perlu dipahami tentang perilaku harian rusa timor. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perilaku harian dan perbandingan perilaku harian rusa timor di TWA Pulau Menipo. Penelitian telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari-April 2019 bertempat di TWA Pulau Menipo, desa Enoraen, kecamatan Amarasi Timur, kabupaten Kupang. Pengamatan dibagi dalam tiga periode dengan interval waktu 2 jam. Metode yang digunakan yaitu focal sampling dengan selang waktu pengamatan 5 menit. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan statistik parametrik One Way Anova dan dilakukan uji lanjut Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perilaku yang dilakukan rusa timor di TWA Pulau Menipo yaitu ingestif (452 atau 44,84%), resting (234 atau 23,21%), lokomosi (133 atau 13,19%), eliminatif (22 atau 2,18%), sosial (92 atau 9,13%), seksual (2 atau 0,20%), dan investigatif (73 atau 7,24%). Perbandingan perilaku harian antar individu rusa timor yaitu rusa jantan dewasa memiliki presentase ingestif dan resting lebih besar dibandingkan rusa betina dewasa serta rusa anak. Presentase perilaku lokomosi rusa anak lebih besar daripada rusa dewasa.

Abstract

Forest and Land Rehabilitation (RHL) is one of the government's efforts to address critical land. The government collaborated with the community for forest and land rehabilitation carried out by the Kupang Regency Forest Management Unit (KPH) with forest farmer groups in Oelatimo Village, East Kupang District and Oeletsala Village, Taebenu District in 2019. Based on Regulation of the Minister of Environment and Forestry Nomber P 105/2018, RHL instruction is implemented on critical land inside and outside the forest area, location and area of ​​planting location, number and type of seedlings; Planting schemes, socio-economic and institutional conditions, preparation, provision of seedlings, planting and maintenance of plants, institutional preparation, arrangement of planting, and preparation of infrastructure, checking block boundaries, and constructing inspection roads. There is no information yet whether the that of the two locations is in accordance with the procedures for implementing RHL in P 105/2018 or not? Therefore it is necessary to conduct a study or research. This study aims to see the implementation of activities, supporting / inhibiting factors and improving the that program. Large respondents in this study were 64 people consisting of farmer groups, KPH employees and ordinary people. Data collection was carried out using the method of observation and direct interviews. The data collected was then analyzed descriptively and analyzed using a scoring analysis with a Likert scale to calculate the level. The results showed that the implementation of taht started from the implementation organization, the realization of planting, planting and controlling and maintenance activities. Supporting factors for that activities are standards and policy targets, facilities and infrastructure, socio-economic conditions. While the inhibiting factors are resources, socio-economic conditions and climatic conditions. Increasing the taht program in Oelatimo Village by 33.01% did not succeed in proving that the program in Oeletsala by 63.07% was declared quite successful.
