Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to explore the continuity of the existence of the Kingdom of God in the ecclesiological mission, especially a review based on the Gospel of Matthew, using Qualitative & Inductive Hermeneutic methods. Through analysis of the Biblical text, this research will highlight the Kingdom of God in the teachings and ministry of Jesus, as well as its correlation with the concept of the church. Apart from that, this research will also examine the use of the term "kingdom of heaven" in the Gospel of Matthew, as well as provisions regarding Messianic hope and covenants in the Old Testament. Thus, it is hoped that this research can provide a deeper understanding of the continuity and connection between the Kingdom of God and the church in an ecclesiological context, as well as its relevance for contemporary Christian understanding. Abstract

This study evaluates the effectiveness of the Litmatch app as an evangelism tool for young Christians. In the digital age, social media has become an important platform for spreading religious messages. The focus of the study was the use of Litmatch, which is popular among young people, to communicate the gospel and increase participation in evangelism. Descriptive quantitative research methods were used with data from observations, interviews, and questionnaires with 45 young Christians who are active users of Litmatch in Palu City. Data analysis using the SPSS program evaluated the effectiveness of the app in providing a space for questions, teaching correct evangelism, and providing appropriate gospel information. The results showed that Litmatch is effective as an evangelistic medium, with key indicators including clarity of purpose, strategies for success, and appropriate programs. The use of social media such as Litmatch can overcome the challenges of traditional evangelism by reaching a wider audience without geographical limitations. This research provides important insights into the role of social media in evangelism and church ministry, and offers practical recommendations for maximizing Litmatch in evangelistic missions in the digital age.

Abstract

This study explores the implementation of the Apostle Paul's discipleship principles in the Perkantas Central Sulawesi ministry during the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic disrupted many aspects of life, including church ministries, forcing a shift from in-person discipleship to digital platforms. This research aims to investigate how Small Group Leaders (PKK) adapted these discipleship strategies amidst the challenges posed by limited technology and virtual fatigue. Using a qualitative phenomenological approach, the study examines the experiences of six PKK members, highlighting their strategies and challenges in maintaining spiritual relationships and discipleship effectiveness. The results demonstrate that despite technical and relational difficulties, the discipleship process continued to thrive through digital innovations. The findings offer insights into how the Apostle Paul’s principles can be applied in contemporary crises, contributing to future discipleship strategies in similar situations.

Abstract

The prophetic tradition is not only found in Judaism but also in various Ancient Near Eastern civilizations, such as Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, and Canaan. This study aims to analyze the dynamics of Israelite prophecy in relation to Ancient Near Eastern prophetic traditions by highlighting patterns of inculturation and differentiation. This research employs a historical-comparative approach and theological hermeneutics by examining prophetic texts in the Bible and Ancient Near Eastern sources. The results show that Israelite prophecy shares similarities with Ancient Near Eastern prophecy in terms of revelation methods and the social roles of prophets but differs in its monotheistic theology and focus on social justice. The study concludes that Israelite prophecy functioned not only as a medium for divine revelation but also as an agent of social change. This research contributes to biblical theology, comparative religion, and its relevance to contemporary spiritual and social life.   Authors Biography Pieter G.O. Abstract

This study aims to measure the influence of discipleship on the work ethic and work discipline of Christian alumni in Palu City. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected through a closed-ended Likert-scale questionnaire from 65 respondents, who were selected based on the criterion of having participated in a discipleship programme for at least one year. A simple linear regression analysis was conducted to examine the relationship between discipleship and both work ethic and work discipline. The regression results indicate that discipleship has a significant impact on work ethic (R² = 39.3%) and work discipline (R² = 38.1%). Discipleship helps alumni perceive work as an act of worship to God and encourages the application of Christian values in the workplace, such as integrity, responsibility, and discipline. The implications of this study highlight the need for the development of more holistic discipleship programmes by integrating professional skills training to better equip alumni for workplace challenges. Additionally, this study encourages further exploration of other factors influencing the work ethic and discipline of Christian alumni.

Abstract

Mepopoidulu is a significant cultural practice among the Bada people in Poso, Indonesia, reflecting deep social and spiritual values. This study aimed to examine how Mepopoidulu could be theologically contextualised through the approaches of “Faithful Contextualization” and “Global Contextualization.” The research employed a qualitative, descriptive method with contextual hermeneutics to analyse five core components of the tradition. The findings indicated that values such as the sanctity of life, marital holiness, social ethics, gratitude, and restorative justice, embedded in Mepopoidulu, aligned with a Christian worldview. The study contributed to the discourse on indigenous contextual theology by proposing Mepopoidulu as a medium for gospel communication that remains faithful to Scripture while embracing cultural integrity.
