Abstract

Customer loyalty is important for both product and service industries. A loyal customer keeps using the company’s product and services. For a shipping service company, retaining existing customers in order to remain faithful will certainly be very crucial. This study was to determine relationship between variables affecting customer loyalty at PT. Pos Indonesia-Banda Aceh, a shipping service industry. The research used Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and with samples of 153 questionnaires obtained through a non-probability sampling technique. By using AMOS software, it can be concluded that the perceived quality does affect customer satisfaction, perceived value has influence on the customer satisfaction, the customer satisfaction is influential to trust and the trust itself has positive influence on customer loyalty.

Abstract

Indonesia government has established sea toll program through Presidential Regulation No.17 in 2017 to support inter-island distribution. Port X in Aceh is one of the ports included in sea toll program. This paper discusses logistic performance m.easure, especially in sea transportation. A Logistic Performance Index (LPI) is proposed as a tool to identify challenges and opportunities in Port X performance. Key indicators which affect the value of logistics performance index will also be studied in this paper. There are several logistic performance measurements for port X based on literature study: quality, delivery cost, transportation cost, and information. Eight indicators affect Port X performance: quality of the commodity, the quantity of the commodity, on time delivery, ship call, sea transportation cost, storage cost, electronic availability, and electronic access. Port X average total index, based on Analytical Hierarchy Process, is 2,557. This value can be considered as quite reasonable. The study limits logistic performance for the arrival route of the container vessel leading to Port X. The final result shows that quality performance indicator (quality quantity of commodity index) has the highest index for all originating port. The second highest index is electronic information availability index. Through this finding, Port X must improve their service and information because it plays a vital role in their performance

Abstract

Inovasi produk lemari pendingin portable merupakan salah satu solusi untuk meningkatkan hasil kualitas hasil tangkapan ikan nelayan di desa Alue Naga. Kegiatan ini dilakukan menyelesaikan permasalahan dan mengatasi keluhan yang dialami oleh nelayan Alue naga akibat hasil tangkapan ikan segar dilaut menurun kualitas dan kesegarannya ketika dibawa kedarat. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi permasalahan tersebut adalah teknik refrigerasi (pendinginan) yang digunakan masih manual yaitu menggunakan es batu dan cold storage yang belum stabil dan manual. Para nelayan biasanya menggunakan box es yang didalamnya terdapat es batu. Agar kestabilan dingin tetap terjaga nelayan harus mengganti es batu dua kali dalam sehari. Sehingga nelayan juga harus mengeluarkan biaya tambahan untuk pembelian es batu setiap harinya serta selalu menganti es agar kesetabilan dingin pada box tetap terjaga. Sehingga untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut perlu adanya perbaikan teknik serta peningkatan kualitas cold storage dan teknik refrigerasi untuk tetap menjaga kesegaran dan kualitas ikan lebih lama. Oleh karena itu kelompok PKM berusaha memberikan solusi kepada nelayan dengan menciptakan inovasi produk lemari pendingin portable yang diberi nama “Nagalu Box”. Kegiatan penciptaan inovasi produk ini telah dilakukan kurang lebih selama 2 (dua) bulan dengan mitra dari kegiatan ini adalah nelayan di desa Alue Naga. Penerapan teknologi ini kami terapkan kepada nelayan, karena pada umumnya nelayan masih menggunakan ice box yang didalamnya di masukan es batu untuk menyegarkan hasil tangkapan. Setelah dilakukan uji coba selama 3 (tiga) hari, nelayan merasa sangat puas dengan inovasi produk yang telah diciptakan oleh kelompok PKM. dikarenakan produk ini ternyata memang benar-benar dapat menjaga kualitas ikan hasil tangkapan nelayan Alue Naga.

Abstract

Pelaksanaan Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) tahun 2022 telah dilakukan pada bulan Agustus semester ganjil tahun 2022-2023. Peserta yang mengikuti program ini sebanyak 241 mahasiswa skema MBKM ISS dan 2.318 mahasiswa skema MBKM USK Unggul yang merupakan salah satu inovasi yang dikemas oleh USK dalam meningkatkan keikutsertaan mahasiswa MBKM. Pelaksanaan MBKM ini melibatkan 116 mitra skema ISS dan 486 mitra skema USK Unggul. Khususnya pada kegiatan MBKM Asistensi Mengajar diikuti oleh 1.252 mahasiswa, sehingga survey pada kegiatan ini dilakukan secara bertahap oleh tim universitas. Adapun tujuan pemanfaatan metode survei sebagai strategi evaluasi kegiatan ini adalah untuk dapat memastikan bahwa kegiatan asistensi mengajar di lapangan berjalan sesuai panduan MBKM USK tahun 2020. Metode survei dilakukan melalui pengamatan secara langsung kepada mitra kegiatan asistensi mengajar yaitu melalui wawancara dan penyebaran kuesioner kepada responden menggunakan google forms. Strategi evaluasi kegiatan dilakukan kepada semua yang terlibat, yaitu peserta didik, dosen pembimbing lapangan (DPL) dan sekolah sebagai mitra. Hasil pemanfaatan metode ini secara umum menjelaskan bahwa kegiatan asistensi mengajar telah berjalan tertib, aman, dan lancar tanpa adanya kendala yang berarti. Mahasiswa mejalankan tugas dan kegiatan secara terstruktur didampingi oleh pembimbing lapangan serta dosen. Namun demikian, masih ditemukan beberapa kasus minor (kecil) yang terjadi di beberapa lokasi tertentu dan dapat ditanggulangi segera pada saat pelaksanaan kegiatan. Kasus-kasus minor yang tidak dominan dan tidak terjadi di seluruh lokasi tersebut dipelajari dan diperbaiki oleh semua pemangku kepentingan termasuk pimpinan universitas sehingga kendala pada pelaksanaan kegiatan asistensi mengajar saat ini, menjadi pembelajaran perbaikan lebih baik untuk kegiatan ke depan.

Abstract

PT M Jusuf & Sons yang berlokasi di provinsi Aceh merupakan gudang distributor minuman Coca-Cola. Implementasi sistem informasi di gudang perusahaan ini masih menggunakan kertas dan pencatatan secara manual, sehingga berpotensi menimbulkan terjadinya risiko seperti kehilangan atau kesalahan pada informasi data barang yang dimiliki di gudang. Penelitian bertujuan untuk merancang basis data (database) sistem informasi gudang distribusi agar data yang dimiliki dapat tersimpan dan digunakan dengan baik sehingga mengurangi kesalahan informasi data. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis desain yang berorientasi objek atau Object Oriented Analysis Design (OOAD). Pendekatan ini terbagi menjadi dua bagian yakni Object Oriented Analysis (OOA) untuk menganalisis masalah sistem informasi dan Object Oriented Design (OOD) untuk merancang sistem, dimana tahap perancangan terdiri dari desain use case diagram, class diagram, activity diagram, sequence diagram, collaboration diagram. Perancangan database menggunakan software Microsoft Access. Hasil rancangan sistem informasi pada gudang distribusi ini berupa database barang masuk dan barang keluar beserta informasi sisa stok barang yang ada di gudang. Informasi ini dapat digunakan oleh perusahaan untuk memonitoring persediaan di gudang dan banyaknya barang yang dapat didistribusikan ke setiap outlet distribusi secara waktu riil. Sebelum masuk ke menu halaman utama, sistem informasi database didesain mengharuskan pengguna mengisi menu login untuk menjaga akses akun tetap aman.

Abstract

Stroke is a non-infections disease that can cause death. The impact of stroke is leg muscles getting weaken so leg cannot be used normally. This condition occurs due to leg muscles are not frequently used and the experience a decrease in muscle mass as a result of the stroke condition. Foot that cannot be used normally can be treated by doing therapy and wearing an ankle foot orthosis (AFO). AFO is an orthopedic aid that is attached to the foot. The benefits of AFO are to improve the structure of the legs and help users to return to walking normally. This research was conducted to redesign AFO by identifying customer need and emotions towards AFO products through the Kansei Engineering method. The study was conducted by distributing 12 pairs of Kansei questionnaires up to 20 respondents through a quota sampling technique. The results were analyzed using multivariate statistics. The data processing used to compile the design element questionnaire. This questionnaire combines two categories for each design item. Respondents can choose which the best design combination. The selected design parts are open design with webbing tight type, the selected material is combination of plastic and steel, and the unobtrusive color. The design result is used as a reference for AFO design and manufacture.

Abstract

In recent years, there has been a significant focus on researching and developing Sign Language Gesture Recognition (SLGR) for people with hearing and speaking impairments. This is especially important in Indonesia, where there are approximately two million people with these disabilities. However, current research and developments on SLGR devices are specifically designed to understand only particular sign language systems, such as Korean Standard Sign Language (KSDSL) and American Sign Language (ASL), each of which has its unique gestures and models. As a result, no device has been developed to recognize the gestures of the Indonesian sign language system, known as Sistem Isyarat Bahasa Indonesia (SIBI). Therefore, this study aims to develop an SLGR device that can recognize and translate SIBI gestures into output images via text and speech. The development of the SLGR device in this study is conducted by using the Conceptual Design Approach (CDA) methodology. Where in this case, previous research on SLGR devices is first observed as a benchmark for comparison. Furthermore, the benchmark is used as the basis for the function, sub-function, and specification of the proposed design. Based on these stages of benchmarking and concept development, the study concluded that the final design of the proposed SLGR device is constructed by using 5 flex and Gyroscope sensors connected wirelessly to the Raspberry microcontroller. The device is equipped with a voice system and LCR RPi as the output system for translation. Based on the combination of these sensors, the device is able to identify any particular gestures that correspond to words and phrases in SIBI and translate them into speech via the designated speaker and text display on the LCD screen. To fully understand the performance of the device, experimental tests are conducted by analyzing the input of 26 alphabets in the SIBI system. As a result, the device demonstrated an average of 92% accuracy to convert sign language into voice and text, which demonstrates the usefulness of the proposed device

Abstract

Batik is one of Indonesia favourite outwears and generally used in formal and semiformal events. This study aims to obtain a university batik motif based on its user preferences, which involving Acehnese motif. This study used stratified random sampling technique to determine 186 batik users who involved as the respondent of this study. The users contributed their perspectives by filling up two steps of questionnaire. The first questionnaire aims to identify user preferences on the design attributes, which consist of logo, the position of logo, Aceh batik motif, fabric basic colour, batik motif colour, and additional batik motif. The second questionnaire aims to obtain the most preference of batik design according to the combination of the attributes. Data obtained from the questionnaires will be analysed using conjoint analysis through SPSS® 22 This study revealed 16 combinations of batik design based on user preferences and the main important attribute in choosing the design was the position of the university logo. Amongst the 16 combinations of batik design, one design shows significant utility value as of 0.543 and determine as the most preferable design chosen by the university batik users.
