Abstract

This research underlines the relevance of communication strategies in gathering votes in politics, especially in the modern political era which is characterized by the vital role of social media in spreading political messages and influencing public opinion. The focus on the use of social media in determining the choice of 2024 presidential and vice presidential candidates, especially Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka, shows awareness of the importance of access to information that is easy to understand and relevant for each individual. The importance of further research to understand the information more deeply highlights awareness of the importance of criticism in consuming social media content. Apart from being a source of information, social media is also seen as a channel for people's aspirations and views, turning it into a participatory tool in the political process. Thus, this research shows that social media has a significant role in the process of determining political choices, especially in the context of the 2024 presidential election. Understanding the comparison of social media in political communication is an important key for prospective leaders to be able to respond effectively to the aspirations and needs of the community.

Abstract

This research explores how TikTok is used in political communication to shape public opinion. The research method used is a qualitative approach focusing on in-depth observation. The research results show that the use of TikTok in political campaigns has made the process easier than traditional methods. Prabowo-Gibran can intelligently manage content that can change people's political views, especially first-time voters, through the content they present. This pair used TikTok effectively because they knew the dominance of first-time voters and generation-Z in the 2024 elections. By changing public sentiment through positive content, Prabowo-Gibran gained strong support. This research concludes that the Prabowo-Gibran pair's use of TikTok is more effective than that of other competitors in reaching young voters. Apart from that, this research also highlights how the Prabowo-Gibran couple succeeded in utilizing TikTok's creative features, such as challenges, filters, and music, to increase interaction with voters. They have also succeeded in building an image close to the younger generation through relevant and entertaining content. With the right strategy, Prabowo-Gibran could utilize the power of TikTok social media to expand the reach of their campaign and positively influence public opinion. This research provides valuable insight into how social media can be an effective tool in modern politics, especially in the context of the 2024 presidential election in Indonesia.

Abstract

The 2024 Indonesian election is a significant political event, with social media playing a crucial role in campaign communication and message conveying. Candidates and political parties use social media to garner support and mobilize voters, making campaigns more measurable and targeted. The Unpacking Indonesia Podcast, hosted by Zulfan Lindan, is a political discussion platform that invites various figures and analysts to discuss current issues in detail. The podcast features diverse speakers such as Hasan Nasbi, M. Qodari, Adi Prayitno, and Eros Djarot. Symbolic interaction theory, introduced by George Herbert Mead and Herbert Blumer, emphasizes the importance of symbols and social interaction in shaping social meaning and reality. In the context of the podcast "Unpacking Indonesia," political symbols are created and modified through discussions between Zulfan and his sources. These statements, analyses, and views become symbols that listeners interpret, influencing their perceptions and actions. Social media, podcasts, and symbolic interaction theory are interrelated in shaping social and political realities in the digital era. Political podcasts have become effective social media in disseminating political information and discourse to the public, offering in-depth discussions on complex issues and featuring a variety of sources from academics to activists. Interaction and involvement with listeners through question-and-answer sessions or panel discussions make podcasts more interesting and interactive. Political podcasters often work independently of mainstream media, presenting alternative, more critical perspectives. By spreading political discourse through podcasts, they can influence public opinion and garner support for various political issues, making them an important platform in the media ecosystem.

Abstract

Digital transformation in education has driven the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) as a key element in personalising learning, managing educational institutions, and supporting pedagogical decision-making processes. However, the application of AI also raises ethical challenges, access gaps, and fundamental changes in the role of teachers. This research aims to identify and classify the primary dimensions of human-AI collaboration in education through a qualitative approach, utilising a systematic literature review of 50 scientific articles published over the last five years. The articles were selected based on their thematic relevance from the Google Scholar and Scopus databases and analysed using NVivo software to cluster the dominant codes in the literature. The analysis resulted in four main components: Adaptive Learning with Artificial Intelligence (ALEAI), Artificial Intelligence in Education (AIED), Ethical Challenges in AI Education (EAIED), and Teacher Roles in AI-assisted learning (TRAIL). The findings indicate that AI has significant potential to enhance the efficiency and inclusivity of learning but also necessitates robust regulations in data protection, algorithm bias mitigation, and teacher training. This research contributes to the formulation of a conceptual framework for developing fair, ethical, and sustainable AI-based education policies.

Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) is increasingly becoming the main driver of digital transformation in various sectors such as education, health, and finance. However, this development raises regulatory challenges, particularly regarding privacy protection, algorithm transparency, and AI usage ethics. Indonesia, with a high level of technology adoption but without a specific legal framework, faces the risk of misuse of this technology. This study uses a literature review and a comparative policy analysis approach to examine AI regulations in the European Union, the United States, and Singapore. The results of the analysis show that the European Union emphasizes data protection and strict supervision, the United States promotes flexibility for innovation, while Singapore offers a balance between social responsibility and technological progress. Based on these findings, this article recommends developing an AI regulatory framework in Indonesia by combining the principles of a risk-based approach, transparency, and algorithmic auditing, as well as the establishment of an independent AI regulatory agency. This regulation is expected to encourage innovation that is safe, ethical, and adaptive to technological dynamics.
