Abstract

In the United Kingdom, since 2016, discourse on the Brexit policy has emerged. This policy includes the United Kingdom's exit from the European Union (EU). This plan is due to financial contributions, namely that the UK is one of the largest contributors to the European Union budget. The official exit of the UK from the European Union on January 31 2020 at 11 pm GMT resulted in changes in economic flows in Europe. The aim of this research is to examine in more depth the research on changes in the dynamics of post-Brexit international trade, with case studies of the UK and the European Union. The method in this research uses a literature study and literature review approach. Literature study analysis has the advantage of providing a comprehensive review, such as a broad overview but focusing more on aspects of the problem raised from different points of view. The literature study approach is also able to identify research gaps according to trends and developments. The research results reveal that the UKGovernment's strategy includes implementing seasonal worker visa laws, implementing a points-based immigration system, formulating the 2020 agricultural policy, encouraging local workers and automation. Investment concerns which are part of the trade-economic aspect, from the Brexit policy itself, caused the British economy to experience a decline, making other countries such as Japan worried that their investments in the UK would suffer losses. But on the other hand, there is a positive impact for the UK with the existence of the Single Market.

Abstract

Background: the modern era is characterized by the acceleration of infrastructure development and the increasing need for efficient transportation. Civil engineering human resource planning plays an important role in ensuring the availability of a workforce that has the required skills and knowledge. This article aims to explore the relationship between these three elements and how their application can contribute to achieving more efficient, environmentally friendly and sustainable traffic projects. Methods: The method used in this research uses qualitative and quantitative methods. The qualitative method only prioritizes literature studies by collecting competency and green economy keywords from trusted journal literature. Meanwhile, the quantitative method used is analysis and processing of project data and case studies of sustainable traffic projects, supported by questionnaire data. Results: 40% of civil engineering companies have in-depth knowledge of environmental regulations that apply in Indonesia. Cities like Jakarta are still lagging behind in implementing smart traffic systems. Of the 100 major cities in the world, Jakarta ranks 85th in terms of adoption of smart traffic technology, with implementation still below 20%. 30% of civil engineering professionals in Indonesia report strong collaboration between civil engineers, environmental experts and urban planners. Green projects in Indonesia have only reached USD 15 billion of the need of around USD 500 billion to achieve the national emission reduction target by 2030. 23% of infrastructure projects in Indonesia use environmentally friendly technology in their construction phase. This shows the low adoption of green technology in civil infrastructure. Conclusion: The government can promote more green technology projects, such as implementing Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) standards or the Green Building Council Indonesia and encouraging cross-disciplinary projects by forming teams consisting of various experts, including environmental experts, transportation planners, and engineers, from the planning stage to implementation.  While increasing understanding of green financing through seminars, workshops and training in the civil engineering sector, as well as encouraging easier access to green financing schemes from local and international financial institutions

Abstract

Introduction: The economic management system is based on the principle of economic actors, tending to focus on the needs, comfort and health of consumers. It is very incomplete, if it is not environmentally oriented when the product is no longer used. The purpose of this study is to find out whether green peace campaigns can influence the choice of non-environmentally friendly products on consumer demand. This research is also expected to be able to make an evaluation for the XYZ company in developing products, based on balancing consumer demand with the environment Methods: The method used in this research is using a closed questionnaire data processing approach, and includes the interview method, in analyzing why the respondent chose a particular answer Results: The selection of product D with non-environmentally friendly packaging and components, still has the highest purchase rate of 1,9. Followed by the second-ranking of product B from the second statement with non-environmentally friendly packaging often purchased at 1,8; the third-ranking product A from the first statement with environmentally friendly packaging is purchased more often at 1,3; and the last ranking of product C from the third statement with environmentally friendly packaging and components is often purchased at 1,2. Conclusion and suggestion: The concept of selecting relatively cheaper costs, is said to still be the main product choice for consumer behavior, even though it has non-environmentally friendly risks. Data processing also shows that the selection of environmentally friendly products with more expensive costs is less chosen by consumers.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

PT XYZ faces a crucial problem in the inefficiency of its sunflower supply chain, particularly the lack of clarity regarding the structure of additional costs associated with activities. The high frequency of partial deliveries from farmers triggers an accumulation of storage and production costs, and a decline in seed quality due to repeated handling. On the other hand, insufficient coordination with seed suppliers causes harvest delays and additional storage costs, compounded by scarcity factors. This research uses a quantitative integration method of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and Value Stream Mapping (VSM). The TCO analysis results show the impact of raw material scarcity. Under normal conditions, the TCO per ton of oil reaches Rp 38.5 million. However, it surges by 65.4% to Rp 63.7 million per ton during scarcity. After optimization, this value was successfully reduced to Rp 52.4 million per ton. Meanwhile, VSM identified hidden time waste valued at Rp 117.3 million per month (8.3% of total costs), with procurement (48%) and receiving (31%) as the main contributors. Through Value Stream Costing (VSC)-based optimization, the potential savings could reach Rp 176.2 million per month (12.4% of total costs), sourced from lead time efficiency (Rp 37.6 million) and yield improvement (Rp 138.6 million).
