<![CDATA[AbstractThis research aims to find out the understanding of God's love based on 1 John 4:7-21 to increase students' emotional intelligence. The research method used is a quantitative method using a questionnaire as a data collection tool. The sample for this research was 100 class X Christian students who were randomly selected. The data obtained was then analyzed using simple linear regression analysis. The results of the research show that there is a positive and significant influence between understanding God's love based on 1 John 4:7-21 on emotional intelligence among class X Christian students at SMK Telkom 1 Medan. With the problem formulation, objectives, methods and research hypotheses that have been carried out in the preparation of this research, the results found based on the statistical calculations that have been carried out can be concluded that the Lower Bound and Upper Bound value range is 83.31-89.08 with the coefficient of determination (R Square) value being 0.677 or 67.7%, which means that understanding God's love based on 1 John 4:7-21 can explain 67.7% of the variance in the emotional intelligence of class X Christian students at SMK Telkom 1 Medan. The remainder is influenced by other factors not examined in this thesis.Keywords: God's love, emotional intelligence, learners, Christianity AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tentang pengenalan kasih Allah berdasarkan 1 Yohanes 4:7-21 bagi peningkatan kecerdasan emosional peserta didik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan menggunakan kuesioner sebagai alat pengumpulan data. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 100 siswa/siswi Kristen kelas X yang dipilih secara acak. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa refleksi kasih Allah sangat positif dan signifikan untuk meningkatkan kecerdasan emosional peserta didik berdasarkan 1 Yohanes 4:7-21 di SMK Telkom 1 Medan. Dengan rumusan masalah, tujuan, metode dan hipotesis penelitian yang telah dilakukan dalam penyusunan penelitian ini, maka hasil yang ditemukan berdasarkan perhitungan statistic yang telah dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa rentang nilai Lower Bound dan Upper Bound 83.31-89.08 dengan nilai koefisien determinasi (R Square) adalah 0.677 atau 67.7%, yang berarti bahwa pengenalan akan kasih Allah berdasarkan 1 Yohanes 4:7-21 dapat menjelaskan 67.7% varians dari kecerdasan emosional siswa/siswi Kristen kelas X di SMK Telkom 1 Medan.
