Abstract

Setiap tahunnya ada 8000 perempuan diIndonesia meninggal dikarenakan menderita penyakit kanker serviks. Fakta yang muncul cukup menakutkan. Ini berarti seorang perempuan di Indonesia hampir setiap jam meninggal dunia 2 karena terkena penyakit kanker serviks. Usia produktif wanita 30–50 tahun sering kali mudah terserang dan bisa membunuh wanita penderita kanker serviks, namun tanda dan gejala tersebut dapat timbul pada wanita dengan usia yang lebih muda dari usia produktif. Pengabdian masyarakat ini meningkatkan kemandirian remaja terkait Kesehatan reproduksi. Mitra kegiatan ini adalah remaja SMA dimana metode pengabdian masyarakat dengan mengadakan penyuluhan yang diikuti oleh siswi SMA. Pembicara menyampaikan materi mengenai kesehatan reproduksi melalui penyuluhan dan membuat poster-poster untuk dibaca oleh mitra. Sebelum mengikuti webinar siswa diuji pengetahuannya mengenai kesehatan reproduksi dengan pretest. Setelah mendapatkan pemaparan materi, dilakukan postest. Hasil analisis pretest dan postest menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan siswi mengenai kesehatan reproduksi. Pengabdian masyarakat dengan penyuluhan dan demonstrasi menjaga kebersihan organ reproduksi yang dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan siswa mengenai kesehatan reproduksi.

Abstract

Hypertension and diabetes mellitus are significant health issues that can lead to serious complications such as cardiovascular diseases, stroke, and kidney failure. Efforts to control these diseases are essential to improving the quality of life for communities. Based on this background, the community service team from Mitra Bunda Health Institute organized health education and screenings on Nguan Island, Batam City. This initiative aimed to provide prevention and management of hypertension and diabetes mellitus for residents of RT 001 and RT 002 of Nguan Island. The implementation methods included blood pressure and blood sugar tests, health education through visual media, and health promotion adhering to health protocols. The high level of community participation reflects a positive response to efforts aimed at preventing and managing these diseases. Evaluation results show that the activities were successfully carried out, with participants following health education sessions and screenings in an orderly manner according to the established health protocols. Collaboration among the community, cadres, neighborhood heads, and local authorities has had a positive impact on raising awareness about the importance of managing hypertension and diabetes mellitus. These activities are planned to be conducted regularly to create a healthier environment on Nguan Island. Full support from various parties is essential to ensure the sustainability of this program for the improvement of community health.

Abstract

Background: The global under-five mortality rate in 2021 is 38 deaths per 1000 live births. Andersen's theory consists of three main components that influence the use of health services, namely predisposing characteristics, enabling resources, need and health service use. Objective: To determine the relationship between patient trust and service quality with complete basic immunization in Sekanak Raya Village. Method: This research is a quantitative study, with an analytical observational design with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were mothers who had children in Sekanak Raya Village. Data collection tools use observation sheets and questionnaires. Data analysis used the chi-square test. Results: The majority of underdog mothers who believe in complete basic immunization status are 15 people (100%), while the underdog mothers who assess the quality of service are good with complete basic immunization status are 18 people (100%). The results of the chi square statistical test for patient confidence obtained a p-value of 0.022 < 0.05; and for service quality, the p value was 0.004 <0.05. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between patient trust and quality of service with complete basic immunization in Sekanak Raya Village, UPTD Working Area, Puskesmas, Rear Padang, Batam City in 2024.

Abstract

Background: Globally, stunting in children under five years old in 2022 is around 22.3% or 148 million children under 5 years old. In Southeast Asia alone, the prevalence of stunting is 26.4% or 14.4 million. Objective: This study was to determine the correlation complete basic immunization and the incidence of stunting in toddlers in the Working Area of UPT Puskesmas Batu Aji Batam City. Methods: This research is a quantitative study observational analytic design with a case control approach. The sample is 42 toddlers and using purposive sampling technique. Data collection tools use observation sheets and the chi-square test. Findings: The results of the chi square statistical test obtained a p-value of 0.005 <0.05 (OR = 6.400 (95% CI (1.654 - 24.770)). There is a significant relationship between complete basic immunization and the incidence of stunting in toddlers in the Working Area of UPT Puskesmas Batu Aji Batam City. Implication: Complete basic immunization has a significant impact on the growth and development of toddlers

Abstract

Indonesia is the fourth country in the world with the largest population. This problem can be a burden on the state in national development dan economic growth. To see the relationship of husbdan support dan trust of patients with the use of IUD contraception in the village of Patam Lestari Mentarau Puskesmas working area of Batam City. Methods this study is a quantitative study, using observational analytical design with cross sectional approach. The population in this study is PUS who use MKJP contraception in the working area of Patam Lestari Mentarau Health Center Batam City. The number of samples was 73 PUS dan using cluster rdanom sampling technique. Data collection tools using observation sheets dan questionnaires. Data analysis using chi-square test. Result most of PUS who get husband’s support with IUD contraceptive use are 41 people (91.1 %), while PUS who believe in IUD contraceptive use are 36 people (97.3%), the results of chi square statistical test for Husband’s support obtained p-value 0.000 < 0.05 dan for patient trust obtained p value 0.000 < 0.05. There is a significant relationship between the husband support dan the trust of patients with the use of IUD contraception in the village of Patam Lestari Mentarau Puskesmas working area Batam.

Abstract

Diarrhea is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality in children under five, particularly in developing countries like Indonesia. To reduce the incidence of diarrhea, the government has implemented a policy to prevent it by administering rotavirus vaccination. To determine the relationship between rotavirus vaccination and the incidence of diarrhea in infants in Sadai sub-district, the working area of UPT Puskesmas Sei Panas, Batam City in 2024. This study was a quantitative study with a cross-sectional approach to 72 infants who received rotavirus vaccination.The implementation time starts on October 23 to November 06, 2024. Sampling using cluster random sampling technique. Measurement tools using questionnaires and observation sheets. Analysis of the data used is the chi square test. The study obtained rotavirus vaccination as many as 40 infants (55.6%), the incidence of moderate diarrhea as many as 37 infants (51.4%). Chi-Square test results showed the value of p value = 2.167. Because of the value (p value 2.167 > 0.05), this relationship is not statistically significant. There is no significant relationship between rotavirus vaccination and the incidence of diarrhea in infants in Sadai Village working area of UPT Puskesmas Sei Panas Batam City in 2024.

Abstract

Goal: To ascertain how patient trust and service quality relate to Sekanak Raya Village's whole basic immunisation program. Method: This study is quantitative in nature and uses a cross-sectional, analytical observational methodology. The mothers who had children in Sekanak Raya Village made up the study's population. Tools for gathering data include questionnaires and observation sheets. In data analysis, the chi-square test was employed. Result: The findings indicate that 15 out of 100 underdog moms believe in complete basic immunisation status, whereas 18 out of 100 underdog mothers believe that the quality of service is good with complete basic immunisation status. For patient confidence, the chi square statistical test yielded a p-value of 0.022 < 0.05, whereas for service quality, the p-value was 0.004 < 0.05. In Sekanak Raya Village, UPTD Working Area, Puskesmas, Rear Padang, Batam City, total basic immunisation quality and patient trust are significantly correlated in 2024.
