Abstract

At this time, literacy is critical to instil in students. Considering the last few years, literacy culture has begun to decline. Even after implementing a proper system, it slowly started to improve. Through cultivating a culture of literacy, the aim is to improve the critical thinking skills of every student through the School Literacy Movement in Islamic Religious Education lessons. This research uses the service method, with literature study as the approach used to collect data regarding related problems. It was concluded that learning Islamic Religious Education can improve critical thinking skills through the School Literacy Movement in Junior High Schools.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze and explore the challenges related to the problems faced in Islamic religious education in the super smart era 5.0, as well as the development that must be done on the Islamic religious education curriculum in order to be relevant to the super smart era 5.0. This research uses qualitativ method by using descriptiv-analysis technique to analyze and describe the data and findings of this research. Then the approach used is Library research in the study of research and the data source of this research is obtained from various sources of scientific studies such as articles, journals, books, documents, and other data relevant to this research. The results in this study are (1) the development of technology in the super smart era 5.0 provides challenges in the sustainability of Islamic religious education, such as preventing moral degradation in students, preparing educators and students to be able to integrate the use of technology in education, the difficulty of filtering digital content, the influence of social media, the emergence of addictive properties, providing an understanding of the importance of balance between understanding religion and technology, the difficulty of maintaining data security, and (2) the Islamic religious education curriculum must be developed to answer the problems and needs of society, namely by using Tyler's goal-oriented curriculum development model.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze applying a holistic approach to learning Islamic religious education to improve emotional and spiritual intelligence in junior high school students. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study type. The data source is collected from six informants through purposive sampling. The data is collected through interviews and observations and analyzed using the Milles and Huberman analysis techniques. The results showed five main themes that support the development of students' emotional and spiritual intelligence: i) the integration of Islamic values in Islamic religious education learning plays a vital role in shaping the character and management of students' emotions. ii) learning based on worship practices increases students' closeness to the spiritual aspects of their lives. iii) contextual approach in Islamic religious education learning optimizes students' social and emotional awareness through direct connection with their social situations. iv) the habituation of Islamic manners and values in students' daily lives strengthens their ability to manage emotions positively. v) the role of Islamic religious education teachers as role models is very influential in developing students' emotional and spiritual intelligence. This research provides insights into how a holistic approach to Islamic religious education learning can improve students' emotional and spiritual qualities, further contributing to their character development and overall well-being.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of character education in Curriculum 2013 at SDN 16 Rantau Utara. The importance of character education in forming a young generation that is not only academically intelligent but also has strong moral values. This research uses a qualitative case study method, with data collection using observation, interviews and document analysis to collect data from teachers and learners. The results show that character education is integrated into various subjects, focusing on teaching moral values through active learning methods. Although there are challenges in character assessment and evaluation, many teachers strive to overcome these problems by applying innovative methods. Therefore, the implementation of character education in Curriculum 2013 has shown significant progress, but it still needs improvement in terms of the assessment system in order to objectively measure students' character development. Thus, character education in Curriculum 2013 is expected to be more effective in creating students who excel academically and have good character.
