Abstract

Potensi kombucha bunga telang sebagai sumber bahan aktif dalam kosmetik, obat, dan minuman probiotik, serta dalam mengatasi masalah kesehatan gigi dan organ intim wanita. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemanfaatan kombucha bunga telang sebagai produk bioteknologi fermentasi dengan analisis literatur review. Artikel ilmiah yang digunakan pada penelitian ini berjumlah 15 artikel imliah yang berasal dari jurnal nasional terakreditasi. Teknik penyajian data yaitu menggunakan table daftar artikel publikasi ilmiah yang akan dianalisis menjadi data hasil penelitian. Teknik analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif dengan menganalisis dan mengidentifikasi artikel ilmiah sehingga menghasilkan ringkasan yang lebih formatif. Hasil penelitian literatur review menunjukan bahwa bunga telang ini dimanfaatkan menjadi kombuca dengan rentan waktu yang cukup lama, pada fermentasi bunga telang ini banyak sekali kandungan yang baik dan bisa dimanfaatkan di bidang farmasi yang dibutuhkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari salah satunya produk sabun. Kesimpulannya kombuca bunga telang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai produk berupa sabun cuci tangan, sabun mandi, sabun cuci muka dan sabun antifungi.

Abstract

Cheese is a type of food produced by separating solid substances in milk through a process of thickening or coagulation. The cheese-making process generally involves the use of bacteria from the Actinobacteriaceae group. This study utilizes a literature review method, including the analysis of several relevant articles, and is further analyzed using a descriptive-analytical approach. The methodological steps involved searching Google with the keywords "cheese making" and "cheese microorganisms." Based on the discussion results, cheese production is not limited to cow's milk; cheese can also be processed from corn, soybeans, and red beans. The cheese-making process utilizes several probiotic bacteria such as Lactobacillus bulgaricus, Lactobacillus casei, and Streptococcus. The use of different starter bacteria can influence the characteristics of the resulting cheese. This research includes a total of 13 articles, comprising 5 articles on Lactobacillus bulgaricus, 5 articles on Lactobacillus casei, and 5 articles on Streptococcus

Abstract

Orchids are popular ornamental plants known for their beautiful flowers and limitless varieties. In addition to choosing the right growing medium, orchid care to support their growth also requires nutrients, one of which is growth regulators. Tissue culture is a propagation technique that can rapidly multiply orchid plants in large quantities. The research method involves a literature review by analyzing several relevant articles. The literature review discusses topics such as explant contamination, growing media, and growth regulators in orchid plants. Based on the research findings, the moth orchid (Phalaenopsis) can thrive and grow well in both VW (Vacin and Went) and MS (Murashige and Skoog) growing media. Meanwhile, the use of MS medium with the addition of the growth regulator BAP (Benzyl Adenine Purine) in black orchids has an impact on shoot multiplication

Abstract

Most of the engineering or modification of plant traits is carried out to address the increasing global food needs with high quality. The growing demand for potatoes and tomatoes has led to a high market demand for high-quality tomato and potato plants, necessitating the sale of quality plants. Therefore, continuous efforts are made to improve the quality in the tomato and potato farming sector. This is aimed at producing new plants with superior characteristics compared to previous ones. This research uses a literature study from 15 journal articles from 2015-2023 related to the development and application of biotechnology in agriculture for the production of fertilizers to increase crop yields. The literature was searched using Google Scholar with the keywords 'genetic engineering utilization in tomato fruit' and 'genetic engineering utilization in potatoes.' The analysis was conducted using descriptive analytics, and the data were examined narratively descriptively. The results of the discussion on the use of genetic engineering in tomato and potato plants show that the production of tomato plant seeds has significantly increased. This can include an increase in the number of fruits produced per plant or an increase in fruit size. The role of biotechnology in the utilization of genetic engineering in tomato and potato plants can be considered a solution because it has a significant impact on plant growth and agricultural yields..

Abstract

Pencemaran adalah masuknya atau dimasukkannya makhluk hidup, zat energi, dan atau komponen lain ke dalam lingkungan. Meningkatnya jumlah air dan udara yang tercemar serta tanah yang terkontaminasi merupakan faktor dari kerusakannya lingkungan. Pengelolaan limbah yang kurang menimbulkan dampak rusaknya lingkungan, salah satu pilihan mengatasi masalah tersebut dengan melakukan teknik bioremediasiterhadap air dan udara yang sudah tercemar serta tanah yang sudah terkontaminasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan literatur review terhadap artikel mengenai bioremediasi yang bertujuan menguraikan teknik bioremediasi sebagai alternatif solusi untuk pencemaran lingkungan. Proses investigasi melibatkan 16 artikel, kemudian dianalisis. Hasil tinjauan literatur menunjukkan bahwa teknik bioremediasi banyak digunakan sebagai solusi lingkungan diantaranya dengan metode fitoremediasi, bioaugmentasi, dan biostimulasi. Hasil kajian literatur diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi rekomendasi penerapan bioremediasi dalam menangani limbah penyebab pencemaran lingkungan
