Feasibility Analysis of Patchouli Farming Business In Burana Village, Tabulahan District, Mamasa Regency Pebrianto, Erdi Olins; Ikawati; Putri, Dwi Ahrisa

Abstract

Patchouli has begun to be widely cultivated by farmers in Burana Village with its easy cultivation and offer a promising profit. This study aims to determine whether or not it is feasible to develop a patchouli farming business  in  this area. Quantitative research is used to anlyze farm costs, farming profits, farm income, return cost ratio (R/C), capital productivity (n/C) and break-even point analysis (BEP). The results showed that the average area of farmers' land is 47.22 acres, so the average cost of production on patchouli farming is Rp. 23,521,073, and the average revenue obtained is Rp. 30,486,379, then the average profit for each respondent is Rp. 6,965,306, so the R/C ratio obtained is 1.3 because the value of the R/C ratio is greater than 1, so patchouli farming is feasible. The value of π/C 0.29 indicates a profitable business where each additional cost of Rp. 100 then a profit of Rp. 29 (29%). The analysis of break-even point for the production volume in patchouli farming is 53,458 kg, meaning that at 53,458 kg the patchouli business is profitable because the patchouli product number of 53,456 kg is below the average product figure of 69.998 kg. Analysis of the point of return for the cost of production in patchouli farming is Rp. 336,025 shows that it is still below the market price of Rp. 439,995, means that the patchouli business is profitable.

Abstract

Based on the results of observations and interviews with our partners, namely the community around the Social Forestry area, Bura Sendana State of Community Forestry (Hutan Kemasyarakatan/HKm) located in Tallambalao Village, Majene Regency, West Sulawesi, it was found that currently, females do not play an optimal role in management of forest products because there are no particular institutions for women. Therefore, women cannot access various formal sources of assistance, information, or capital provided by government agencies, private and other supporting institutions such as non-governmental organizations (NGOs), or universities. Therefore, it is essential to form formal institutions specifically for women. So, the community service partnership activity that we carry out is encouraging the establishment of a Women's Farmers Group (KWT) to manage the Bura Sendana social forestry area. This initiative is expected to support empowered female farmers from a cultural and institutional perspective. Become a pioneer in managing agricultural products from forest areas, which can improve the welfare of people in villages around forest areas in the long term. The main objective of this Community Partnership Program activity is to form a KWT to manage HKM Bura Sendana. Furthermore, we designed a participatory training to strengthen the KWT institutions that have been formed.

Abstract

Penelitian deskriptif ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tinjauan di semester ganjil 2022/2023 tentang: 1) keterampilan membaca kata dasar suku terbuka di kelas 1; 2) sama-tidaknya keterampilan membaca kata dasar suku terbuka per kelompok sampel. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SDIT Fajar Ilahi 2 Bengkong di akhir semester genap 2022/2023. Populasi penelitian ini berjumlah 116 yang terbagi dari 4 rombongan belajar. Sampel ditetapkan sebanyak 90 siswa. Jumlah ini terbagi dari 24 siswa kelas Usamah bin Zaid, 24 siswa kelas Ibnu Abbas, 21 siswa kelas Shafiyah bin Abd Muthalib, dan 21 siswa kelas Rumaisha binti Milhan. Untuk mengumpulkan data keterampilan membaca kata dasar suku terbuka digunakan tes unjuk kerja. Tes berisi 113 kata dasar suku terbuka yang didominasi kata bersuku dua. Tes unjuk kerja ini disusun secara objektif guna memenuhi syarat validitas dan reliabilitas. Untuk menemukan jawaban atas rumusan masalah-1 digunakan prosedur statistik deskriptif yakni mean hitung. Untuk menemukan jawaban atas rumusan masalah-2 digunakan analisis temati. Hasil penelitian: 1) keterampilan membaca kata dasar suku terbuka siswa kelas 1 SDIT Fajar Ilahi 2 Bengkong, Batam: di atas median sebanyak 37 anggota sampel atau 41,11 persen sedangkan di median ke bawah sebanyak 53 anggota sampel atau 58,89 persen; 2) tidak terdapat perbedaan keterampilan membaca kata dasar suku terbuka siswa kelas 1 SDIT Fajar Ilahi 2 Bengkong, Batam menurut kelompok sampel. Itulah simpulan artikel ini.
