Abstract

A popular story spread in Islamic society about Tsa'labah ibn Hatib, a companion of the prophet who became miserly and hypocritical when His prayer was granted by Allah Almighty. Tsa'labah was one of the companions of the prophet who was initially very devoted to the Commandments of Allah Almighty and diligent in worshiping to the mosque when he was still poor, while the purpose of this study was to find out what despicable traits or morals existed in Tsa'labah so that he was said to be a person who Damnated by Allah Almighty, This research is a literature study research, namely research by reviewing and examining sources that are relevant to the research being carried out which is taken from several books and journals that are relevant to the title that the researcher wrote and raised to be researched, The results of this study are a form of presentation of researchers about avoiding despicable morals, namely miserliness and hypocrisy through the example of the story of Tsa'labah where in this story Tsa'labah shows that he was one of the companions of the Prophet who was originally devoted to Allah Almighty but because he was kufr not grateful for the blessings given by Allah made him forget to carry out the command of Allah Almighty, namely zakat, as for the despicable nature or morals in Tsa'labah that we should avoid is miserly, kufr delicious, arrogant, greedy, and break promises.

Abstract

The problem of moral decline has plagued several young generations recently, including widespread incidents of profanity, crime, violence, hate speech and other deviant behavior. Moral or character education is seen as an alternative way out of these various problems. This study of Luqman's letter is an example for parents to return to their parents' nature when providing education, morals or character and attention to their children through the example of Luqman Al-Hakim's character. The background of this research is to look at the current moral damage of children, so this research aims to provide some solutions in the form of theories to shape children's character in accordance with the teachings of the Islamic religion. This research is a type of library research, namely research whose research topic uses library data in the form of books as a source of information. This research was carried out through reading, studying and analyzing existing literature in the form of the Al-Quran, other books and research. This research uses a qualitative approach, namely systematic research where objects are researched or researched in a natural environment without manipulation and without testing hypotheses. The results of this research are that there is several moral education in Surah Al-Luqman verses 14 and 15, including filial piety to parents, the command to always be grateful and patient, and to be aware of the place of human return and not to associate partners with Allah SWT or shirk. Then the implications that need to be emphasized in shaping children's character are birrul walidain, being grateful, being aware that humans are servants and not committing shirk.

Abstract

Community welfare is a condition for the fulfillment of the material, spiritual, and social needs of citizens in order to be able to live a decent life and be able to develop themselves, so that they can carry out their social functions, as one of the supports that are expected to be able to provide welfare to the community includes mosques, where mosques play another equally important role in contributing to the improvement of the community's economic situation and also coaching about about faith and also morals in society. The purpose of writing this journal is to study more deeply about how the efforts made by the BKM of the Taqwa Mosque in overcoming this problem include the Role of the BKM of the Taqwa Mosque in the Welfare of the People of Medan. The research method used is qualitative using a phenomenological approach, then the data collection techniques in this study are observation, interviews and documentation and the analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn/verification. The results of the research found by the researcher are that there are several activities carried out by BKM Masjid Taqwa to support welfare for the community, including providing religious education, social and community programs, social assistance, economic empowerment, cleanliness and welfare, and environmental cleanliness, then the problems experienced by BKM Mosque in implementing all programs include missed communication and lack of funds and lack of facilities or infrastructure of the Mosque.
